Rooms: Main house- 1 Master bed +full Bath and 2 twin beds with full bath and an extra 1/2 bath for guest in the living room. 1 casita with master bed and full bath. The interiors include natural... wood, marble, granite, and handcrafted tiles. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel high end appliances, elegant wood cabinets, and granite counter tops.

La Fortuna is just 4 miles (6.4 km) away from the Arenal Volcano and provides a great base for exploring Arenal and the surrounding area. .

The closest town from Casa Lago Arenal is Tilarán.Tilaran is about 2.5 miles from the home from where you could buy the groceries . It is a small, quiet, rural town with supermarkets, several bars and restaurants, internet cafe and a pleasant town square around which pretty much everything is located.
There is a restaurant right opposite our house in the yacht club, couple of them within a mile also.

Activities: the Yacht club is right across the street from our home.
They have sailing, jet ski, kayaking,boating etc and you do not need any reservations or membership to use their facilities.
The Windsurfing and Kiteboarding(Tico wind (15 - 20 minutes) & (Tilawa is -8KM (10 minutes) from the home.
White water rafting is about 20 km from home.
The Arenal volcano and activities are 1 and 1/2hrs from the home. The Springs resort and Tabacon is near the volcano (within 5-10 min)
Monteverde cloud forest is 35 KM from home.Travel time is about 2-2 1/2 hrs owing to some unpaved roads on the way.
Viento fresco Waterfalls is only 11 KM from Tilaran.
Fishing at Lake Arenal is 30 minutes from home.

  Beautiful vacation home

  Traveled with a group of 6 to Costa Rica for 9 days and this was our first stop. We stayed in the home for two nights and loved every moment of it. We weren't there much as we were off on different tours, but after long hikes through the rain forest, it was refreshing and comforting to climb back into bed here. The home was spacious, there is a large, fully equipped kitchen that opens into the living room, two large bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a 1/2 bath and laundry room along with a casita which has its own bedroom and bathroom off to the side of the home. The ceilings were high and the view was beautiful as you are practically on the lake. We only had one issue which were ants but every area we went to in Costa Rica had ants along with other insects. There is a restaurant within the community which was okay. We didn't get to use the pool either so I can't review that. Security was on site 24 hours and they were pretty helpful when we couldn't figure out how to lock the door, the handle was a bit tricky. The bathrooms were large. The living area was comfortable, they had large floor to ceiling windows which enhanced the view during the morning. The home does have a.c. which worked great in the living room but was on and off in the bedroom but there are fans which worked fine. Also, there was Wifi and cable. There werent t.v.'s in the bedrooms, but that didnt bother us, who needs t.v. In Paradise? All in all, whether you stay one day or longer, this home is a great option. Unfortunately, the road is a dirt road so if it rains it's likely to get mucky but it didn't affect us terribly. We felt pretty safe within the community and walking back into the home at night. We were gone most of the day so I don't know how close we were to stores, etc but we were about 1 1/2 hr away from the arenal volcano. Hope this review helps. To George (the owner), you're a gem. Thank you for recommending Edwin (our wonderful driver), he was absolutely amazing driving us throughout Costa Rica.
