Cottage Profile Well Maintained, two bedroom cottage with 2000 feet of shoreline, located on the shores of Baptist Harbour, Lake Huron. This lovely raised cottage has large glass windows from floor to ceiling, ceramic tile floors, cathedral ceilings and a great view of Lake Huron. The main living area is an open concept design with the living room, dining area and kitchen all in one room. These features in combination with the cathedral ceilings and large glass windows provide an open, bright and airy environment in the cottage. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, sliding glass doors leading out to the lake, and an ensuite three-piece ba...throom (shower). The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds (single top, double bottom) and a single bed. There is also a two-piece bathroom. One of the nicest features of the cottage is its huge 1200 square foot deck that wraps around two sides of the cottage. The deck has two sitting areas, one facing the open lake and the other facing Baptist Harbour. From this deck you get morning, afternoon and evening sun. A sunroom has been added to the deck allowing you to enjoy the views rain or shine. It's a great place to take a nap or relax with a good book and listen to the water. While at the cottage take time to explore the over 2000 feet of shoreline, you will find many different shoreline settings, wild flowers, alvars, and wild life. The scenic Village of Tobermory is located 7 km away. Take a visit and stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.

  We loved our stay at this cottage. First of all the setting is very unique, as the house is the last one on the street and the property is huge. It makes you feel like an explorer! The property includes a very large alvar habitat - so please keep in mind that includes wild animals and snakes, frogs etc. We were very mindful of the kids whereabouts and generally made sure one of us was with the kids at all times.
  The cottage itself is very bright, with a very large deck and a huge common area (living/dining room). The main bedroom is beautiful, with large sliding doors onto the deck. The smaller bedroom can accommodate 4 people (in our case, two adults and two kids) but it would probably be best for either three kids or two adults and one kid.
  Everything in the house is very well maintained and in great shape.
  The water is great and there are many different entries - we mostly used the dock.
  We have been renting in the Bruce for a long time but it was our first time in Baptist Bay. It was great being so close to Tobermory, Dunks Bay and Little Cove.
  We were very happy with our choice.

  The cottage was very clean and perfect size for the 4 of us.
  I wish it had 2 showers but still a great cottage. The view is wonderful because the deck goes around the cottage and being above ground was very nice. The BBQ was new and very handy. This location is great if you like to explore. We saw a missisauga rattle snake, hawks, eagle, humming birds and feed the chipmunks. The water is crystal clear and not so cold because the harbor is shallow.
  This is the perfect location for a private vacation!

  Vacation Cottage

  This cottage is an excellent choice for renters wanting both privacy and access to city comforts. Tobermory is just a few minutes drive away and the cottage has plenty of shoreline for quiet exploring. The cottage is well furnished and the layout is excellent. It is bright and sunny. The views are spectacular and what a deck!! The newly painted muskoka chairs are a nice touch. The kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware, appliances and dishes. An excellent rental choice. We will be happy to rent it again!
