London, UKLovely house and helpful neighbours

Excellent lake-side location. Plus close to Tobermory and its amenities. You can walk in to the town in about 30 mins via part of the Bruce Trail. All was in good order in the cottage. We stayed with a toddler and it worked out well, with the owners providing a cot. The owners were in residence next door and David was very helpful eg in assisting with the barbecue. The cottage is not wholly remote, and the beach was in use by neighbouring residents (eg children playing beach volleyball of an evening) but there were no problems with noise. We would certainly stay at the cottage again. It is a bit of a pain to have to clean up at the end of the stay: we would gladly have paid a bit more to have someone else do this for us!

Markham OntarioAn awesome holiday in a perfect location in Tobermory
Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The cottage was in perfect condition, clean and very well cared for inside and out. It is on a beautiful beach with very wonderful swimming in crystal clear cold refreshing water. The hiking is amazing and everything is very close by. I would have loved to have an option to hire a cleaning person at the end of our stay as a holiday for me is walking away at the end of the week and the clean-up would be done by someone else. The people who owned the cottage were next door and they were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had an excellent family holiday and I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

What a great location! We have a toddler and couldn't ask for a better place to spend our vacation. The beach is immaculate, the views spectacular and the cottage was comfortable with all the amenities one could possibly need. Located close to amazing hiking, along with great swimming, we will be making this cottage a regular summer event.

just relaxing
Waterloo, Ontarioclean and well-kept cottage with a lovely view
Left on 08/04/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We were met within minutes of our arrival by the owners who have a
cottage right next door. They gave a less than welcoming greeting and
jokingly said that we "couldn't get away with anything" since they were right
next door. I think they were apprehensive about renters as I think they are
fairly new to this. They did warm up as the week went on and checked in a
number of times to see if we needed anything and were eager to make our
stay comfortable once they realized we weren't going to trash their cottage!
For at least 3 of the afternoons that we were there, we had to listen to the
owner running his tractor doing some landscaping around his cottage. It
was only a few metres away from our cottage and very noisy - not what I
wanted on my vacation.
Otherwise, we really enjoyed this cottage. It was very clean and had
everything that we needed without any unnecessary clutter. We had lots of
room for our own things and it didn't feel like we were living in someone
else's space. It was bright with lots of windows providing a beautiful view of
Dunk's Bay. It faces east so there were no great sunsets and it did not
provide a sweeping panorama of Georgian Bay as it's quite a tucked in little
bay. It had a great sandy beach which our children loved and safe, easy
access into the water but...it was cold. Georgian Bay is always cold and with
the cool weather we had, no one wanted to go in the water.
We took advantage of the cottage's proximity to the Bruce Trail, Cyprus
Lake, Tobermory and all the great places in that area. We hiked right from
our cottage along the Bruce Trail and into Tobermory. It was only a couple
minutes drive into Tobermory to get groceries. The location was perfect.
What I liked best was the clean and comfortable cottage and it's accessiblity
to so many great, natural sights.
What I liked least was the noise from next door and less privacy than I
would hope for.
It was a good spot overall. -

Oshawa, OntarioGreat Cottage, Great Beach
Left on 07/29/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The sandy beach was perfect, the water was clear, the cottage was clean and extremely well-stocked. There are about 10 other cottages along this rare stretch of beach. It's a 3 minute drive to Little Tub, packed with restaurants, shops, a good grocery store, and boat excursions.
The only part we didn't like: we were hoping for peace and quiet in the evenings, but there were lots of kids running around the beach until 10 or 11pm every night, making lots of noise and playing.
