Cottage Profile Compact, One bedroom, 500 square foot private suite conveniently located just 3 km outside of Tobermory at Hay Bay on the Lake Huron shoreline. This unit has all the amenities necessary for your convenience and it's recent renovations mak it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy your holiday. The remainder of the building is inhabited by the owners of the cottage, but the unit is self-contained to maintain your privacy. The hosts were wonderfual people. Our big dissapointmanet was that although it is advertised as a cottage it it indeed a basement apartment. We did not feel that we had any privacy, even though the people upstairs did not interfere in any way. We just knew they were there. We also had probems with our wireless internet which took three days to get up and running again.

We are sorry the guest did not read the description of the cottage before booking. It is clear from the first two paragraphs of the cottage description that the unit is a suite which forms part of a larger home.

the owners were courteous, helpful
the place was clean, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable, easy access to sitting space outside which enough privacy. The property was beautifully situated, the grounds tastefully cared for.
the one disappointment was that it was impossible to swim there because of the reeds; however this may not be an issue with everyone. -

The cottage was lovely. It was very clean and had all the amenities you would want. We were welcomed by the owners Julie and Jack and we immediately felt comfortable. The view from the deck was great and we enjoyed canoeing on Hay Bay. We liked that the cottage was close to Tobermory and all the wonderful things to see and do in the Bruce Penisula. We would definitely go back.

It's a little unusual to be staying in a unit within a home but it was managed very well, and we felt that the place truly was ours for the duration. Every effort was made to make our stay a delight and we hope to return.

Excellent accommodation. The unit was tastefully decorated in pastel colours, with a Mexican decor. The berber carpet is delicious to the toes. All amenities were available, from toaster to central vac. The tall windows gave a breathtaking view of Hay Bay. Outstanding sunsets. We ate out on the deck every chance we got. The wildlife was friendly. The ducks would come up from the lake, in the evening nibble on your toes, then settled down at your feet for a nap or to clean their wings. The best part,the cottage was comfortable walking distance from the town, Litte Tub in Tobermory. Very scenic neighbourhood for walking, bird watching or observing wildlife.

I had rented cottages in the past but nothing of this caliber. I always assumed that cottages were dingy and makeshift. But this one was very clean and updated. I loved that we were on the water so we could fish. It was also great that the canoe was provided as well as a private deck and all amenities. It was nice and quiet and the homeowners were very personable. Overall it was a great holiday. We were sad to come home =)
