Cottage Profile "Dogwood Point" is a five bedroom waterfront cottage located on Pendall Point, Lake Huron, only 13 km from Tobermory. This lovely executive quality cottage comes with all the bells and whistles to guarantee a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The second storey of the cottage has a large deck that encircles the front, side and rear of the cottage. The lakeview deck, with its covered roof, quality patio set, with five chairs and a 3 seater couch, provides a beautiful view of the lake. At the rear of the cottage is an uncovered deck where you'll find the barbecue and a few chairs. Here you can enjoy the morning sun in a sheltere...d environment. The interior of the second floor features natural pine floors, vaulted ceilings, large windows and an open concept design (living room, kitchen and dining room all in one area). The living room has a quality stereo system, couch, love seat and chair facing the lake. The dining area, which is located adjacent to the living room, contains a beautiful set of oak dining table and chairs capable of sitting eight comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, oven and dishwasher. There is plenty of counter and cupboard space. A peninsula serves as a breakfast bar with 2 additional chairs. The master bedroom includes a king-sized bed, a three-piece bathroom ensuite with shower, his & her closets, television with satellite receiver and a terrace door leading out to the lakeview deck. The second floor also contains a 5 piece bathroom(tub and shower), two bedrooms and full laundry facilities in a built in cupboard. The first floor contains two bedrooms, a three-piece bath (with shower), as well as a recreation room and separate games room. The recreation room has a TV, satellite television receiver (200 stations), DVD Player, CD Player, gas fireplace and is nicely furnished with two couches and wooden rocking chair. The games room has a ping pong table, an air hockey and foosball table for older children and a dressing up box with clothes and hats for younger ones. The cottage is surrounded by perennial gardens. There is a pathway leading down to the lake, where a large 900 square foot deck is located. This deck contains muskoka chairs and loungers from which you can watch the kids play in the water or just enjoy the view of Lake Huron's splendor. The cottage is located in a private setting with no neighbours close by. The landscape in front of the cottage is open with flat, glacially sculpted limestone rock and small trees. The shoreline consists of flat limestone rock with some rocky rubble. Once you are past the rocks, enjoy swimming in the clean, crystal clear blue waters of Lake Huron. The shallow lake entry is convenient for launching the supplied kayaks. Swim shoes are required. The cottage is located near the end of a dead end paved road. The lands on the opposite side of the road form part of Bruce Peninsula National Park. This is a great area for bird watching and quiet walks. The scenic Village of Tobermory is located 13 km away. Take a trip into town and stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you can view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are also very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream come true. Guided tours along the Niagara Escarpment, or the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron are available a 10 minute drive away.

  The cottage was spectacular, with a wonderful view and great amenities. The rooms and bedding with nothing short of luxurious. Overall, it was an amazing experience. the bay is also great for kayaking. Would love to come back to this place again.

  Very good cottage, can't expect more. Had great experience with it, nice and comfortable. The view is fantastic, and the water is so clean. The little sheltered bay is great for children to try on kayaking. Wonderful place to enjoy the nature while not far from all the convenience you may need.

  Lovely Cottage , Stunning Surroundings

  This was our 2nd time staying at this cottage. It is spacious , comfortable and private and perfect for families with older kids, teens who need " space " . The water is the biggest draw- for swimming kayaking and wave watching. The location (close to Tobermory town for getting supplies and to assess to the Georgian Bay side of the pennisula ) is excellent as well

  We enjoyed our holidays at Dogwood Point. The house is very spacious. The down sides are the humide basement, and the long way to the next sandy beach. However, if one does not have small children and does not mind to have some waves while swimming, there is nothing to complain about the stony beach just in front of the cottage.

  This is the first time we rent a cottage in Tobermory and we had a wonderfual experience! The cottage worths the money we paid. It is great to stay home relaxing and also worthy to go around for the wonderful views.

  We had a fabulous time at the "Dogwood Point Cottage". The scenery/environment was spectacular and the cottage (home) could not have been any nicer. The home and grounds were very clean and the proximity to the water was truly special. We have recommended to our family and friends and will undoubtedly stay there again in the future.   We had excellent service.All the comforts of home and more.We liked the home very much. It was very private but a better view of the lake would have been appreciated, maybe cut off a few of the trees.We liked the town of tobermory. The least of things we didn't like is the available lakes to fish in.

  The whole area of Tobermory is lovely, but staying in such a great cottage made it even better. Had a super weather week, and an overall tremendous, relaxing time of things. You have no worries when you rent this cottage.

  We enjoyed our week at this cottage with our 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. The children enjoyed playing by the water, climbing on the rocks, playing on the deck, dressing up in the dress-up clothes, and keeping a close eye on the frog pond. The shore is very rocky so it is not easy to wade in even with beach shoes. Singing Sands is not too far away and we enjoyed beach time there. The cottage is well equipped, spacious and comfortable with 2 decks for enjoying the view of Lake Huron.
