Thoroughly enjoyed
Home was well equipped, nicely decorated and had a lovely view. The use of kayaks was appreciated and enjoyed during our stay.
Would visit again!

Peaceful and relaxing
We had a very good time, a little problem arriving when the key did not work, but fortunately that got resolved reasonably quickly only because the owner lived nearby and had a spare.
Other than that, the cottage was in great shape, the kitchen a little bit lacking, we loved the deck and really enjoyed the week away from the rat race.
Being close to the main park for day hiking and canoeing was our main objective. Also being so close to town for fish and chips made for easy dinners.

Great location, well furnished inside and out
We stayed for two weeks of kayaking, cycling, hiking, golfing and relaxation at the Dunromin cottage. The cottage surpasses the impression given by the photos! It is very private and the neighbours are friendly when you do eventually see them. The two single seat, open top kayaks are in good condition. The waves range from nil to three foot (depending on the wind). When the waves are strong head left from the cottage (against the waves) to ensure an easy paddle back. The row boat allowed us to play around with some fishing.
The sunsets are truly spectacular. They are best viewed from the water's edge, the right end of the deck and the window above the kitchen sink. The latter (almost) had us vying for who got to wash the dishes after dinner! There was never a prolonged cloudy period (micro climate).
The cottage is surrounded on three sides by a new professionally built deck. There are two table sets on the deck facing the water and another one at the front of the cottage under a shelter which also covers the barbecue. All of the exterior furniture is new.
There were no biting flies but plenty of non biting flies that appear at sunset and are attracted to the patio lights (so leave them off!).
Inside, the cottage is spacious and comfortable. The satellite television works well. There are no FM music channels (we brought our satellite radio along).
The village has a reasonable grocery store and you can also buy great fresh fish fillets across the main road from the harbour.
The local golf course has nine holes, is in good condition and has a decent driving range. All of the locals we met were friendly and easy going.
There are some nice areas to explore by bike. Its best to get close, by car, rather than cycling all the way from the cottage.
Hiking part of the Bruce trail is a must. Its an easy trail to hike.
We swam at the whispering sands beach. The water was cold and there was a fair wind (think PEI). Its great for kids, with a very gradual slope.

Peaceful getaway
This is the perfect spot for a relaxing, quiet holiday. We love the
quaint, little village of Tobermory. The surrounding area is stunning,
we spent a lot of time hiking the Bruce Trail - which is just minutes
from the cottage.
The cottage itself is always very clean (this is our second vacation at
this particular cottage and we will definitely be back), very well
equipped and comfortable. Everything needed for a fabulous holiday is
there!
The fact that the owners of the cottage accepts dogs is a huge
deciding factor for us - we always take our dog(s) with us on holidays
and we choose our destination with this in mind. We recently adopted
a second dog, so we're really hoping that the owners are as accepting
of two dogs as they have been of one! :)

Summer Vacation
Had a great holiday with the family at this cottage. Great location, rode our bikes into town or walked.
My son and I made great use of the kayaak's.
Had to do some tidying up, but think it was the first rental of the season. Otherwise a perfect holiday.
Would use this cottage again.
