MississaugaLoved the Nest
Left on 11/02/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We vacation near Tobermory every summer and this is the nicest cottage we've rented. Spacious enough for everyone (6 adults and 1 child) while still feeling warm and cozy. Lake entry is rocky (like everywhere up here) but fine with swim shoes. We swam every day. The kitchen is large and open and our 'cooks' tell me they found it fully stocked and had no issues/complaints. We were all very happy with this year's vacation and would rent this cottage again if we have the same number of people in our group in the future.
Everything was exactly as advertised on rentcottage.com which we have also been using for several years. Always satisfied. -

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous cottage and the wonderful surroundings. We had a week of bliss and much needed rest. This was all the more profound for us as a death in the family and the services split the week. Eagles Nest is a perfect setting for peace and reflection.
Tobermory is so close and we found the time to sample the sights and activities. In all, it was a splendid week and we will gladly return. There's even been talk about a trip in the fall. It surely must be beautiful at that time of year.

We met the owner when we left the cottage. We told them that we had a great week in their cottage.
We did not do too much except for hanging out with the family and that was important to me.
The place had all of the amentities that we needed.
I recommend to others.

MichiganA great place to stay

Eagle's Nest is a beautful place. The house was clean when we arrived, and everything worked well. The upstairs loft (master bedroom) is great, with a nice view of the lake - however, being open, means you hear everything in the cottage. All of the other three bedrooms were perfect as well. We loved the "family room" - nice an cozy. The deck and beach area suited our needs just right. The only drawback we found was there was only one shower.
Overall, a very nice cottage and a wonderful week! -

The Eagle's Nest was the most wonderful home. We enjoyed the very private setting on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron. This vacation property met and exceeded all of our expectations. The view and sunsets were amazing. The beautiful dark starry skies were breathtaking. Just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. We would love to come back some day.

We had an absolute great time from the first time we walked into the cottage up until the time we had to go home. The cottage was very clean and spacious with an amazing view. Whether it was teaching my oldest daughter (3yrs) to fish for the first time right out back or sitting with my youngest (1yr) in the rocking chair by the fireplace staring out at the water and my personal favorite sitting under the stars at night, having a drink in the hot tub with the woman of my dreams, this experience to me will be something I will always treasure. Thank you guys SO much! We will most definately be back to make more memories. The Cullen family.

This is a beautiful cottage with beautiful views. The layout is pretty nice with a great cathedral ceiling and loft bedroom with a bathroom overlooking the great room. My beef would have to be the lot, it is pretty much unusable as it is all rock and gravel, this however does lend itself to a nice view. The furniture in the cottage was horrible. The couches were uncomfortable, there was no window coverings so the sun glared in for a few hours each day, the hot tub which we specifically wanted cost an extra $150 for the week and took a day and a half to warm up and was really a bottom of the barrel tub. It seemed like this was somebody's dream home that was never finished, purchased by an opportunist, finished as cheaply as could be and rented out. That would explain the horrible trim work, the floor not being professionally matched up, no curtains, cheap beds, garage sale furniture, and bare bones ammenities like a 27 inch TV, $1000 hot tub, and flea market cookware. I have rented better places and for less money. I would not visit the eagles nest again.
