Cottage Profile Private, three bedroom 1500 square foot cottage nestled on the Niagara Escarpment in Dunks Bay. Experience the convenience of being minutes away from Tobermory combined with the beauty of Georgian Bay. The main living area of the cottage features laminate flooring, cathedral ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that overlook the water so that you can enjoy the view from the many vantage points. You will also find a television with satellite service and a DVD player to help entertain the family on a rainy day. The woodstove is great for taking the chill off of a cool night. Also in the main living area is a harvest table with... plenty of seating for all members of your party. The patio doors leading out to the deck provide diners with a beautiful waterview to compliment the meal. The kitchen has all the essentials, including stove, fridge, and microwave. A propane barbecue provides an attractive second cooking option. There are two bedrooms on the main living area, both with double beds. The four-piece bathroom can also be found on the lower level of the cottage. The master bedroom is located on the second storey of the cottage in the loft. The bedroom itself has a queen bed and two windows to let in natural light. There is also a two-piece ensuite bathroom for your convenience. The bedroom is open to the other end of the loft, which is a great place to curl up and read a book while enjoying views of the water. This is a great spot for some quiet time. The best room of the house is actually outside! The large tiered deck provides a spectacular view of Dunks Bay. Either the dining area or the stairs on the side of the cottage can be used to access the deck. Enjoy the afternoon sun in the 6 patio chairs, or a meal at the picnic table while taking in the fresh air. Entry into the water along the shoreline may prove to be a challenge as it consists of rubble rock (aqua shoes are recommended). An option for younger children or those with mobility issues would be the public sand beach less than a 1 km walk from the cottage. This beach is a great place for children to swim and play and has a beautiful sandy bottom. Please note that you must use the road to access this beach, as the shoreline in front of the cottages is private property. Another highlight of the cottage is its close proximity to Tobermory (2 km to Little Tub harbour). Tobermory provides many activities including boat tours of the Fathom Five National Marine Park and Flowerpot Island, a variety of gift shops, restaurants and pubs, canoe and kayak rentals and the Chi-Cheemaun. It is also worth noting that the Bruce Trail runs right behind the cottage. A wonderful 20 - 30 minute hike on the trail will bring you to the new National Park visitor centre (highly recommended) where there is a 60 foot observation tower that overlooks the many islands within the park.

This cottage was an excellent retreat for me and my wife and our two kids ages 3 and 5.
Everything was precisely as described. The views are beautiful, and we would certainly rent again.
We particularly appreciated that the pictures accurately represent the home once you are in it. If anything, the place is perhaps slightly more spacious than the pictures demonstrate.

Service was very good, no issues at all. The cottage is very nice, not huge but clean, well maintained, with plenty of room for our family of four. The large elevated deck overlooking water is great. The bay is beautiful, public sandy beach to the left of the cottage within swimming distance (100 metres away). If you stay close to the shore you can walk there. The public beach section is narrow, maybe 50 metres wide, with private properties on either side, but the water stays shallow for quite a distance out which is good for kids. Excellent for swimming, no weeds, just sand. The shoreline in front of the cottage is rocky, not good for kids or elderly folks, but gets deep quickly once you're passed the rocks and good for swimming. Getting down to the shoreline from the elevated deck is via a set of stairs that wind under the deck, and will be difficult for toddlers or the elderly, but no problem for adults/teens/older kids. If you bring a kayak or canoe, it would be very difficult to get it down to the water. We lowered our windsurf stuff over the deck rails to the shore below. Or you could drive 2 minutes to the public beach, launch from there, paddle over to the cottage, leave the watercraft on the rocks for your stay, then pick up from the beach at the end.
Overall, what we liked most was the great location. Dunks bay is beautiful and peaceful. 5 minute drive to Tobermory, 15 minutes to Singing Sands, the Grotto, Halfway Log Dump. We would rent again!

The cottage was exactly as described no suprises (which has always been the case) enjoy being able to look at the site and pick the cottages and book online it is very easy.
The home was beautiful very welcoming and the view was perfect. It was close to the bruce trail and walking distance to tobymory on the bruce trail which was what we liked most about it, the least thing we didnt like was the driveway and stairs down to the house but that wasnt a big deal for us at all.

I received great service with the people at rentcottage. The cottage was amazing, the view was gorgeous, and it was close to everything. It was clean and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. It took 5 minutes to Tobermory, and 10 to Bruce Peninsula National Park. I would rent this cottage again next year!!!!
