Cottage Profile Extremely private, three bedroom, 1840 square foot cottage, just 10 km outside of Tobermory. This cottage is located at Indian Harbour on Lake Huron and is a very short drive from all the activities that Tobermory has to offer. The main living area of the cottage is an open concept design, featuring cathedral ceilings, maple floors, and numerous windows that provide a panoramic view of Lake Huron from the comfort of the cottage. The cottage and location was everything we hoped for.
A beautiful location on a point looking out on lake Huron. It was private and great for swimming. The cottage was clean, very spacious and well appointed with wonderful views of the lake from the porch and the 2nd floor bedroom. -

The cottage was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a full week of fun and relaxation. There were three couples and a new born baby and we had plenty of room and the cottage was very comfortable. Huge kitchen to cook in with all the necessary appliances and accessories needed. The rooms were all large with comfortable beds and the two full bathrooms were a great bonus. The outdoor deck with seating and a very good propane BBQ were also very nice to have. Being right on Lake Huron was incredible, we swam everyday and the dogs loved having lots of space for to run around and explore. It was very quiet there being very secluded and private but only a few minutes drive to Tobermory and all the main hiking trails and attractions. We are definitely booking again for next year - this place was more than we could have asked for.

We had a wonderful week at the cottage. The cottage is beautifully designed and maintained. It looked and felt like it was brand new.
Privacy is very important to us and its location guaranteed that; and we had a very relaxing week with our friends. We hope to do it again next year! Thanks to the owners for allowing us to enjoy a little of their paradise. The Millers.. -

This cottage was exceptionally well presented. The location is very private and the view to the lakefront unobstructed. The decor is beautiful and the amenities were all of superior quality. We used the downstairs bedroom and bathroom whilst our children (20,24&28)used the upstairs. The kitchen was well equipped with all new appliances and an abundance of matching kitchenware. Usually when you go to a cottage there is a mishmash of items accumulated over the years but this one has obviously been equipped with everything from furniture to bathroom accessories given great attention to detail. Entertainment featured a cd player, dvd, satellite, board games and current book titles. The finishing touches to the inner structure and craftsmanship were evident throughout. There was plenty of outside furniture and a brand new barbeque. Laundry facilities were provided and an abundance of blankets and pillows. This cottage has obviously been a labour of love for someone and we could very well have seen ourselves living there!! If we were to visit this area again, we would definitely consider choosing this cottage to return to.

We loved Indian Harbour Cottage! It was spacious and beautiful, in a lovely setting on a rocky shore of Lake Huron. Very private and quiet. Also, it was close to great hiking, garden tours and excellent food.

The cottage was very private. However, the home was dirty. Bugs were all over the place. We had roaches, spiders and ants in our bed every night. I almost wanted to leave early, because I never got a good night sleep. The rental company has the last renter clean, and how they leave it is how you get it. We were greeted to an open door in the back, letting bugs in. The beds had garbage and dirt under it. The fridge was dirty. There was garbage on the grounds. We saw a used condom on the rocks in the yard. The cottage is not kid Friendly, lots of Glass around on the counter tops. The last renter had left clothes in the washer, when we opened it all the clothes were moldy. We had let the rental company know of the situation; however since we did not notify them immediately, all they gave us back was $100. I would not use the service again. Deal direct with an owner. I will say this, in the guest book in the cottage, everyone else loved it and enjoyed. I stay in mid-range hotels 150 nights a year. When I go to a cottage that costs me 200+ a night, I expect it to be left in order. This was not the case. The location is great. The building is great. I hope the owner seals up the place a little better and gets a better clean up crew. You cannot beat the Bruce Penn for a vacation...the best spot in Canada for a vacation. This place looks nice, take your money somewhere else, and don?t get fooled like I did.

The owner has expressed her sincere apoligies for the condition of the property during your stay. A family member used the property prior to your stay and obviously did not leave the property in an acceptable condition. Regretfully since the exterior door was left open at the cottage a large number of insects entered the property.
The owner has put into place reliable people to check and maintain the cottage between bookings. -

This cottage is large and well-kept with a big kitchen that encouraged cooking. The master suite was lovely, but the upstairs bedroom in the back of the house is gorgeous--full of light and spacious. This side of Lake Huron is fairly quiet, so we didn't get the more dramatic backdrop that one would get from staying on Cape Hurd or Georgian Bay, but it made for easy access to the water. My only complaint was that the cottage does not supply a canoe/kayak or bikes, which would have been nice. As with many cottages on the Bruce Peninsula, the water is not drinkable so make sure you bring lots of water for drinking and tooth-brushing.

My wife and I stayed at this cottage the last week of September. We had excellent weather, and were able to enjoy the lakeshore aspect of this cottage. The location is extremely private, and we didn't see anyone all week. The cottage is superb, and is well equipped. We had a wonderful time seeing the sites in the area of Tobermory, with this cottage to return to each afternoon.
I would return to stay at this cottage!
