StratfordGreat Time
Left on 09/28/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We had a great week with our family and grandchildren. Swimming, fishing, searching for frogs and snakes and a hot tub - what more could you ask for. The only annoyance was the far too friendly chipmunks trying to eat their way into the cottage and the wee mouse that we could never quite catch. Apart from that the entire week was glorious. Definitley would recommend this cottage as a home away from home. Wonderful week.

OshawaThe peaceful retreat we were looking for.
Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The "Oasis" is truly that. We were looking for a place to relax for the week. Get away from all the pressures of city life. We could not have picked a better place. Every night offered beautiful sunsets. Every night we could see thousands of stars from the hot tub, and were then lulled to sleep in the giant king size bed, listening to the waves crashing against the shore. Mornings started with yoga on the absolutely huge deck while enjoying the fabulous view of Lake Huron/Georgian Bay. Kayaking in the afternoon, or hiking the incredible Bruce Trail. I almost forgot to mention how beautiful the cottage is. Dave has worked hard at making it the incredible cottage that it is. It boasts comfort, style and relaxation. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Thank you for memories that will last a life time. We hope to see you again next spring. Bob & Bev
P.S. Loved that you offered a cleaning service. Although we left the cottage just the way we found it, very tidy. It was nice not to have to vacuum, wash floors, clean bathrooms, etc. Thank you for that. It made the end of the vacation even more relaxing.

The owner of the cottage had been to the unit and turned on the fireplace (it was a nasty day), which was very nice and he also checked to see that we had been able to get in.
However, the cottage was listed as an 'executive'cottage, so we had some expectations of it being rather special.
As it turned out, the cottage was not all that clean, there was evidence that quite a number of areas had been dusted and, having read and discussed the actions we were to take before leaving the premises, we were not impressed.
Also a number of the appliances that were listed did not work very well, if at all.
That being said, we love the area and would go back but need to find a place with a "friendlier' shoreline...I'm 74 and have had some problems with falls so was definately not able to get to the shoreline.
The weather was better than what we would have had at home in Elliot Lake and we did some investigative travel. We loved Dunks Bay and found some terrific places to eat, ones we'd not known existed.
So, overall, it was restful and certainly helped me prepare for the issues that I had to face coming home.
We will not be travelling next year but would certainly use your service again...it is a lovely area and we are hooked!!!

Williamstown, OntarioBeautiful vistas
Left on 10/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This cottage has a beautiful setting and offers beautiful vistas form almost everywhere. The deck is fabulous and I especially enjoyed relaxing on the raised part of the deck. The weather was also a great contributing factor to the enjoyment of my stay and the cottage. However it has all the amenities necessary in case of bad weather.
The furniture and beds were all very comfortable.
And I enjoyed the fact that there was a clothes washer and dryer. -

We have spent a week each summer for five summer's at Dave's cottage, and find it to be charming with a beautiful view, nicely decorated and filled with amenities. And it's just a few minutes from Tobermory, with great restaurants, shopping and art boutiques.

The agency was great to accommodate everything, very professional.
The cottage lived to our expectation. It was spacious with 2 living space and nice music system to cover the whole area.
The deck is perfect for Summer BBQ and the lake water was crystal clear. -

We had a great stay. Cottage was comfortable and facilities really good. TVs in bedrooms were used a lot as weather didn't always behave and we could watch different movies at the same time as our more discerning children! Entrance to water for swimming was a bit challenging but privacy was superb and equipment in good condition. Would come again

Richmond Hill, OntarioTruly an Oasis
Left on 02/07/2009 for a stay in August 2008
The cottage is well laid out ad posistioned to see remarkable susnsets. It is fully equipped with a remarkable sound system. We brought our France exchange student with us and she was truly impressed with her time there. We were close to Tobermory to scoot in on a daily basis if required. The owner was very accomadating and our two dogs loved the water and the large deck to lay out in the sunshine. The beachfront access is quite rocky which is the only downside to this amazing home.

Toronto, ONNice cottage with too much personal stuff
Left on 01/26/2009 for a stay in September 2005
We enjoyed staying at this cottage. It has
some cool unique charms to it. There is a
great elevated deck with a fantastic view.
The hot tub is clean and well looked after.
The overall layout of the cottage is nice as
well.
Maybe it is just us, but we all seemed to feel
like there was far too much personal stuff at
the cottage. We heard that the owner does not
actually live there, so it was surprising to
see how much of his stuff was around. We are
used to staying at cottages that feel a bit
less like a home, I guess. We felt at times
as though we were weekend guests instead of
renters.
There is also a LOT of furniture. The place
is full of "antique"-style furniture and the
place would probably look nicer if it were not
so full. There are numerous dressers, hutches
etc - especially in the dining room area.
Despite these small issues, the cottage itself
is very nice. Nice and quiet with nice views.
The waterfront is VERY rugged and somewhat
tricky to access. We realized that this is
not a great pick if you want to swim or at
least bring children to the water. Access is
rocky and involves a bit of climbing over
slippy rocks in some areas. Great waterfront
to watch and look out over.... not so great
for swimming or watersports.

New Hudson, MichiganGreat Rental!
Left on 01/24/2009 for a stay in July 2006
We stayed at this property with a total of 5 adults and one toddler, and we never felt cramped. The house was well stocked and decorated like a home, not a rental. We would stay here again (and will be sometime soon) in a heartbeat. The only criticisms would be 1) that the hot tub was set at a low-ish temperature, so it would need to have been called a lukewarm tub. That is a non-issue, which is easily remedied. Second criticism would be that the trees in the backyard need some grooming-- they were encroaching on the deck and the tower. Again, easily remedied with a little effort on the owner's part.

Left on 01/24/2009 for a stay in September 2008
We are an 'adult' group and find the 'Oasis' ideal to our needs . Sufficiently private but convenient to the village . We find the cottage appointments suit our needs entirely and owner ,Mr Dave williams,a helpful, gracious host .
The waterfront , being rocky , we find most interesting and photogenic - ideal for 'rooting around' on. This may not be to the liking of children .
Altogether we are highly pleased with our stays at 'Oasis' and we will hopefully be returning . -

We had the best time ever at the Oasis cottage. The sunsets were beautiful & listening to the water at night! Our sons & their friends enjoyed the lake & hot tub. Lots of room! It was fun going into Tobermory to the pub there.
