TorontoA nice quiet relaxing place
Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Nice location, use of kayak, quiet, clean and close to lots of great day trips and hiking. Satelite TV signal was not always perfect (and usually no cell phone service) but that was not important to us. We had a very enjoyable stay. Also nice to be able to bring our little dog along too.

Loved the spot and cottage. Not used to the smell of the water from the faucets and ran out of hot water quickly but this was minor compared to the location and comfort of the cottage.

We have stayed at a few cottages in the area over the last 9 years and this cottage was great for comfort and the close proximity to Tobermory. The kitchen is well-equipped and the appliances were clean and updated.Outside the picnic table was a little wobbly and the outside lounge chairs could use repair. The barbecue worked well. We found many snakes around the cottage as well as a rattlesnake who hung around one afternoon... The lake was great because of the shallow flat rock made easy access into the lake and kids had a great time . Thank you, The Wilson Family..

Though I could only stay a week this is a lovely little cottage with a great view and perfect location. Nothing beats getting up in the morning to a lake view out of a post card and having a cup of coffee, all I can say is thank you to a great little get away.

Our family of four stayed at Paradise Bay the last week of August this year and
hope to return next year as well. So lovely to find a place that is low key, a true
"cottagey" cottage, with its own small sandy area and wonderful water views.
Kayaking with provided kayaks was a lot of fun, and the kids enjoyed chasing
minnows through the shallows at the shoreline. The sound of coyotes greeted
us the first night, and every night the lapping of the waves lulled us to sleep.
If you aren't handy with a woodstove for heat, the cottage would be on the
chilly side at the end of the summer - as it was, we kept it roaring through the
night and were mostly ok. And so great to be able to bring our dog along too!
4.5 stars - the only issue, as I mentioned, was the heating issue - everything
else was perfect. -

Our family vacation was perfect this year! First, I couldn't believe how clear the water was! Even though it was cold to get in, once in, I couldn't get out! We swam every day - the weather was perfect. Second, our small schnoodle was in heaven. Talk about Doggy-Disney! We couldn't keep her out of the water. Really, we wanted to stay there forever.

Nice cottage -- very clean upon our arrival! The Paradise Bay cottage was the perfect distance from Tobermory and it was a very quick drive to all of the destinations we wanted to see while we were up there. The cottage has lots of windows -- which was nice because we had a lot of rain and cool weather while we were there -- so we were able to enjoy the view and the warmth of the fireplace from inside the cabin. The only thing you might like to bring is a hatchet to split wood for the fire place. Overall a great experience.

Goderich, OntarioPeaceful Setting!!
Left on 01/26/2009 for a stay in June 2007
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Paradise Bay Cottage. It is set in a very quiet spot, right along the water, we only saw about 4 people when were there, but it was the end of June, early July. This cottage was very clean and tidy. The use of the two person kayak was great, as our teenage children were able to use it at their leisure. It is close to Tobermory, and within driving distance to a lot of tourist attractions. We would suggest the hike up to the Grotto at Cyprus Lake.
If you are looking for a very quiet get away, with no T.V./Cells/ or other interruptions,
then this is the place to be. Sitting out by the lake, and watching sunsets was very tranquil!!

the cottage was nice.,.,felt like a nice cottage experience.,.,if we weren't there on our honeymood we would have got bored pretty quick.,..,there was no boat.,.,we had to go to Cameron lake and rent one.,.,the beach was not really a beach at all.,.,just alot of rock.,.,the neighbours were being assholes.,they were not renters they were owners and were very rude.,.,$1000 plus for a 1 week stay was too expensive and not worth it.,you can do so much more for $1000.,.,tobermorey was nice and I would visit it again. We love camping and have been so several times and in many cottages.,.,this ranked pretty low.

Tobermory has always been a desired destination for my family. My husband and daughter scuba dive and I enjoy the quiet sounds of Lake Huron with a basket of good books. The cottage is cozy, well equipped, quite private, clean and best of all allows us to bring our beloved four legged friend. What draws us back to this cottage is the constant surge of the surf on Lake Huron. It has a meditative effect that instantly relaxes the mind and soothes the soul. We also like the unique botanical landscape of the coast line and its geological history. The water is clean for swimming and very refreshing. There's no better place to enjoy your morning exercise or your morning tea or coffee than on Paradise Bay.

We truly enjoyed our stay; everything was in good order - clean and comfortable. Although there is not a whole lot to do except relax at the cottage, there are fascinating sites within short driving distances, which we truly enjoyed. Great place to relax with the family.
