Cottage Profile Three bedroom, waterfront cottage located on the very tip of the Bruce on Tobermory's spectacular North Point. This nice traditional cottage is located in a private setting on some of the most beautiful shorelines in Ontario. The cottage has recently been renovated throughout. It is 2000 square feet in area and is one and a half story's in height. The upper story has three bedrooms and two piece bath. The lower level has a large living room with stone fireplace, hardwood floors, pine beams and cedar paneling and is well furnished with a couch and two comfortable seats surrounding the fireplace. Behind the couch is a large wood...en harvest table. A small 22' television with built in DVD player are located here. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with wooden table and chairs to sit six. At the front of the cottage is a new large living room addition with bright windows, cedar paneling, hardwood floors, couch, chairs and stereo system. Terrace doors lead out to a large 350 square foot deck with two porch swing chairs. Part of the deck is covered to provide shade on those hot summer days. A new heavy-duty picnic table that seats 8 is now also available, so that meals can be enjoyed outdoors. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and plenty of counter and cupboard space. Also on the ground floor is a four piece bath and full laundry facilities. A really nice feature of this property is the spectacular cliff top deck that provides a fantastic view of Georgian Bay. A 300 foot path and wooden board walk leads to a cliff top deck. The deck is equipped with a glass barrier railing. This provides an unobstructed view of the Georgian Bay Islands. The property is surrounded by trees on a large lot in a private setting. There is only one neighboring cottage approximately 300 feet away. This cottage is screened by existing forest cover. The cottage is set back in the woods from the shoreline and cliffs of Georgian Bay and does not have a clear view of the lake. Although, from the master bedroom window, one can see the water and have a spectacular view of sunsets. A short trail leads down to a beautiful shoreline similar to that of Cyprus Lake. The water is a deep blue with bright white limestone cliffs and a great view of the outer islands of Fathom Five National under water park. This is truly a spectacular natural place. At the waters edge there are large limestone cliffs some shallow entry areas, the water gets deep fast so this may not be a good place for young children or non swimmers. The trail leading down to the shore may be difficult for young children or older people to navigate. It would be similar in terrain to that of the Bruce Trail on the upper peninsula. A really nice feature about this property is, that it not only is located in a private, natural private setting, it is only a a short walk to downtown Tobermory. Where you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers and naturalists , the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining. This is a truly unique setting for a cottage.

  Comfortable size ,clean ,has everything you need for a quiet relaxing time.
  
  we had some trouble with the water pump but Stan ,the maintenance guy, was prompt and efficient solving the problem.

  We had a fantastic time at this cottage.
  It's a truly authentic "cottage" but with great amenities and very clean. The location couldn't be better. Minutes from Tobermory and yet it feels secluded and private.
  
  I much prefer the Georgian Bay side of the Penninsula with the rugged shoreline. Great for snokeling and swimming (though the rocky swimming area is not ideal for small children).
  
  The deck is the star of the show. We spent tons of time just sitting around watching the boats go by (including the Chichimon) and soaking up the sunhine.
  
  The cottage was also very well equipped with everything you need (bikes, swimming floation devices, lawn chairs, a well stocked kitchen, fans). My only complaint was the lack of a TV for movies. We brought our widescreen iMac which did the job though.
  
  Overall we had a fantastic time and plan to rent again next summer!
