Cottage Profile The original Breaker’s Mansion was built over 100 years ago by the Vanderbilt Dynasty. Their Breaker’s sits on a 100’ cliff over looking the Atlantic Ocean. Our Breaker’s sits on a rocky shoreline in a rustic setting over looking the pristine waters of Lake Huron. Located on Little Eagle Harbour near the picturesque Village of Tobermory, your 1700 sq. ft cottage is an oasis away from home. When you arrive you are surrounded by complete privacy with no other cottages in sight with ample shade from Cedar and Balsam Fir trees. If peace and quiet is what you crave, then this is your place. Your vacation cot...tage has 3 bedrooms each of which has a queen bed. Upstairs the master retreat faces the front/water side and a second bedroom is at the rear. The third bedroom is on the main floor. Your vacation cottage comes equipped with every modern convenience including washer/dryer, over-the-range microwave and a full galley kitchen that is suitable for three cooks. A sit up breakfast bar enables guests to chat with the chefs as they prepare gourmet meals. The kitchen over looks the massive Great Room with a 16’ high cathedral ceiling, wooden beams and a mix of hardwood flooring and carpeting. The Dining Room consists of a gorgeous harvest table that is suitable to seat 6 people without having to worry about elbow room. There is also a serving table to take care of extra dishes. The Great Room is where your family will relax after a day hiking the Bruce Trail. With a high quality couch, love seat and chair your guests will have complete comfort while overlooking Lake Huron from the large picture windows. Enjoy movies or regular television from the 40” LCD high definition television. Not to worry about missing your favourite shows while away as you have access to over 100 channels from the from Bell Satellite system. Also included is a DVD player, IPOD docking station & CD player. WIFI high speed internet access is also included! Your morning coffee, lunches or dinners can be enjoyed on the large outdoor deck. Enjoy the morning sun from your elevated perch and fantastic views of Lake Huron. The outdoor table, chairs and umbrella allow for comfort and shade. The cottage consists of a full bathroom with a shower. Water is filtered and softened and the cottage also has an ultra violet water filter. The cottage does not have usable docking facilities due to lower water levels. The dock, however, makes a great lake side deck. A canoe and kayak is supplied with the cottage. This area is great for exploring the little coves and inlets. The shoreline is made of a mixture of loose stone and rocks and has a shallow entry for swimmers. Swim shoes are recommended. The cottage is located on a quiet road with no traffic. Bruce Peninsula National Park is 5 minutes away and Tobermory is only 10 minutes. While in Tobermory take a visit and stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.

  The cottage made us feel at home all too quickly. It was spotless and the the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed! The location's great, within minutes to the main town. Booking the place was so easy, the instructions were very detailed that there was no room for hiccups at all. Thank you for the wonderful cottage experience!

  The cottage and property are beautiful; cozy, stylish and very clean. Very good flow; easy to live in. We never got in each others way. The cottage and in particular the kitchen is well equipped and worked very well for us. We were there for 7 nights and cooked in every night but 1. All of our meals were enjoyed on the beautiful balcony overlooking the water. The beds are comfortable. The water is crystal clear and beautiful.   The great room is lovely, lots of privacy. Spent lots of time on the rocky shore and sitting on the dock. Very nice BBQ and deck. Also nice to hear the water lapping on the shore.
