Cottage Profile Newly constructed, 3 bedroom, 1700 square foot cottage at Warner Bay along the shores of Lake Huron, nice and close to the village of Tobermory. The main living area of the cottage is an open concept design with beautiful hardwood floors throughout. There is a ledgerock fireplace with a couch and three chairs to relax in after a busy day on the Bruce Peninsula. The kitchen at the cottage is fully equipped, complete with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher, and although counter space is limited, there are plenty of cupboards. A dining room table with bench seating provides enough space for the whole family at the table. Or... even better, enjoy one of two outdoor seating areas. On the roadside deck, accessed through the kitchen, you can enjoy the use of a propane barbeque and a patio table with chairs. On the walk out lakeside deck, which can be accessed through the main living area,.is the second patio table and chairs. Back inside the cottage there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite two piece bathroom, bedroom two has a double bed, and the third bedroom has two sets of bunkbeds making it the perfect room for the kids in the party. Ceiling fans in each bedroom help to circulate air and create a more comfortable sleeping space. There are two bathrooms at the cottage, both on the main floor. The first is a three piece with shower and the second is a two piece ensuite off the master bedroom. Also on this lower level you'll find a rec-room with a couch, love seat, and television. The basement has an unfinished concrete floor. You also have the use of a ping pong table, fantastic fun on a rainy day, and access to the lakeside yard of the cottage. You'll also find the laundry facilities with washer and dryer for your convenience during your stay. The kids in the party will love the grassy yard at the roadside of the cottage, and the tree fort at the side of the cottage will be a big hit with them too. At night, the outdoor firepit is the perfect place for roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. At the shoreline there is a gradual entry into the water with a flat rock bottom which makes way to a silty sand that gradually gets deep. Easy for children to negotiate but swim shoes are recommended for their safety. The scenic village of Tobermory lies 15 km away. Stroll around and visit the shops, library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour. Take a scenic boat cruise to view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flower Pot Island. Dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream come true. Guided tours along the Niagara Escarpment or the shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron are available a 10-minute drive away. Amphitheater programs are presented at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.

  We rented the cottage The Trembling aspens through rentcottage.com. As this was our first time renting a cottage, the service was excellent and easy. The Trembling aspens is a new, beautiful cottage providing all the comforts of home: a fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher, large fridge and appliances, three comfortable and cozy bedrooms, a warm and spacious livingroom with fireplace, and the laundry facilities. Our teenagers enjoyed games, movies and a pingpong table in the familyroom. The cottage is very private due to the size of the lot as well as the surrounding forest. The rowboat was a hit with the teenagers who rowed to an island each day to explore and swim. Although the shore is rocky, there is excellent swimming off the island located a short distance away by rowboat. The younger kids enjoyed searching for crayfish by the shore and swimming off of the raft.
  The location of the cottage was perfect. We were close to Singing Sands beach (by car) and were able to hike the Bruce Trail to the Grotto from Cypress Lake. We loved the boat tour to Flowerpot Island as well as the restaurants and shops in the village of Tobermory.
  Overall, we loved the cottage which provided us with great memories and a chance to really relax. The sunrises were spectacular! The only thing we would change, if we could, would be the shallow, rocky shoreline which made swimming a little difficult. Don't forget your watershoes!
