This cottage is very well kept and comfortable. The location although not on the water is still nice. Me and my wife were very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. It very quiet. The living space is a nice size. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a nice amenity. Maybe the only thing that would have made it better was to be next to water but that would in no way keep us from staying there again. Another thing that we encountered was a smell of maybe sulfur in the shower water which may be due to the natural watersource and is not surprising. Other than that, its a very comfortable stay. We will try to stay there again.

We stayed at this cottage for our honeymoon in March and it was exactly what we were looking for; a beautiful cottage for a private getaway. The cottage is very private, you can hardly see your neighbours and the street is very quite, only a few other houses. The cottage is very well kept inside and out and the hottub and fireplace were great for relaxing on cold nights. The only negative we had with the place was the pullout couch needed some cleaning and wasn't inflated, but we didn't use it at all and just pulled it out to see it (just to warn anyone who was thinking of using it for a bed). Other than that, the cottage was very high quality and made us feel like we were living in luxury for the week.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we were very happy we choose that cottage.

What a lovely cottage Tuckamore is. It is just as beautiful in person as in the photos. We also really liked the floor plan since the main living area separates the two bedrooms. While there are a couple of houses barely in sight, it is located in a secluded wilderness setting. We also found the managing couple very helpful. We would return there in a minute!
Great winter getaway

If you are searching for high quality at a great rate in a wilderness setting, then this is the place! The owners seem to have considered just about every need for the vacationer, from the hot tub to the super entertainment system to the cozy fireplace. Fine workmanship is evident in this cottage. Winter nights are peaceful under the stars and the woodland trails with abundant animal tracks are a refreshing way to spend the day. A short walk will take you to lake views.

Exceeded expectations...very well equipped, comfortable and clean. Loved the layout and location...very private but very close to everything in the area. Best part was the fabulous hot tub and listening to the birds sing.

We had an amazing week at the cottage . Great cottage had everything we needed and more. Extremely clean and amazing service responses. We lost power for a few hours during a winter storm but cottage had an emergency generator.
Rate this vacation a 9.9 out of 10.

This was the first time we have rented a cottage and was pleased with our stay. The ads and pictures were true to the cottage and located in a quiet area. It's kid friendly and lots of space for them to play.

This cottage was exactly as it was described and appeared on the site. We were very impressed by the comfort, cleanliness and decor. Our vacation was booked for much-needed R+R and this is exactly what we experienced - thanks to the private location, lovely Tobermory weather and the outdoor hot tub! :)

My husband and I stayed here for a week, for our honeymoon. It was a wonderful cottage, and so comfortable it made us feel at home. We went out every morning to go to town to get our food for the day and make our own meals. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the town was not open till the friday, may 7. so we could not do anything other be at the cottage for the week. so a little heads up would have been nice. Otherwise the cottage was incredible. Both my husband and I were very happy that we choose this cottage. thankyou so much !
Better than the pics!

We loved the space, clean, bright and easy to fall in love with! Private, quiet and close to town and trails. Would have been 5 star with closer water access.

The cottage was immaculate. We were not far from all the activities we wanted to do, hiking, fishing, boating, shopping, swimming at the beach. We had the privacy we wanted at night when we wanted to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you are okay with driving five minutes to the activities listed above, this would be a great place for you to stay. The only down side is there is no beach or waterfront within a reasonable walking distance.

The service I received was very good. Everything was very clear and informative.
The cottage was very well appointed. Everything was very neat and functional. Nothing was lacking indoors or outdoors . The property was not lake front and this is the only short fall.
It was very close to Tobermory. We truly enjoyed the stay. You could not ask for a nicer place.

Just an overall great cottage. The owner has a built a beautiful unit, with great attention to detail and quality. Very private but still close to town. Shame it was only a weeks vacation!

We really enjoyed our vacation here. We wanted to get away from it all, and this place is perfect. The wood fireplace is fantastic, what a bonus. The hot tub is another great feature. We were glad the owners accomodated us VERY last minute..we booked about 3pm on Friday and stayed the next day. Everything is exactly as described. We took bikes with us and biked into Tobermory every day. We also biked to the bakery (recommended). The only thing I would suggest is take some non stick frying pans for bacon and eggs. It also would have been nice to have a second tv in the master bedroom--especially during playoffs!!
The owners did a nice job of decorating. Everyday I saw more details of the love they put into this cottage.Truly a nice rental.

Amazing Cottage - Great for a Honeymoon!

This cottage was amazing. It was gorgeously decorated and homey. Everything about it was quality. When we arrived there for our honeymoon it was wonderfully clean. You can tell whoever stays there takes pride in the home and takes exceptional care of it. Admittedly, it was no where near the the water, but we were just fine camping out in the hot tub. (May isn't exactly swimming weather.) It had every amenity we could have hoped for and was a nice distance from all the local attractions, yet was hidden away from all the main traffic, so it was a nice quiet spot to just relax and enjoy the beautiful area. We would absolutely stay there again.

As avid cottagers, my fiance and I knew our honeymoon would not be the typical tropical paradise most couples go for. We wanted something a little more luxurious to treat ourselves but still with the lovely rustic, relaxed feeling that we crave. This cottage was more than we could have asked for! We loved it from the moment we stepped in the door. Everything about it was tasteful, well cared for and beautiful.
The few things that we didn't care for were the isolation of the hottub, it got a little spooky at night with no fence or lighting around it and the wasps nests along the front of the cottage prevented the use of the front deck. Other than that our experience was wonderful and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a little R&R.
