Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This cabin was absolutely beautiful and was everything that was described in details. We enjoyed out stay, even though it rained and we did not get to use the firepit. The cabin was very warm, clean and charming. Would definitely stay here again!

EdentonThe most relaxed weekend of my adult life.
Left on 03/22/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Upon arriving, everything was clean and in order. Even the hot tub was nicely heated to 100 degrees and the driveway was clear of snow. I did have to shovel the steps a little, but there was a shovel nearby that made the task simple and quick.
The cabin was the perfect place for our anniversary stay. The fireplace kept the cabin warm and cozy throughout a cold february weekend, and added great atmosphere. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, the hot tub was excellent. It exceeded every expectation we had. We're already discussing a return trip to the mountains with the whole family this time, and seriously considering this cabin for our stay. -

Merritt Island, FLSnow and wind and a Babbling Brook!
Left on 02/15/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My wife and I along with our recently engaged friends, had an amzing stay in the mountains. The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace, the outdoor firepit and of course, the jacuzzi! The only bad part of the trip, was pulling out of the driveway on our way back home.

Tucson, ArizonaBeautiful, relaxing, convenient all you'd want in a mountain cab
Left on 01/31/2013 for a stay in October 2012
Babbling Brook is a treasure, from the attractive, country-style interior to the blazing firepit by the babbling brook (well, you'll have to arrange the blazing part yourself, but that's huge fun). Excellent, convenient, responsive service from reservations through departure. We've visited twice, and can't wait to go back. Babbling Brook is minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Living in arizona, we have our own wonderful mountains, but there's nothing better than these North Carolina mountains, and Babbling Brook is a real gem among them.

Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The cabin was exactly as described and was comfortably furnished. The landscaping was beautiful and while it was too warm to use the hot tub, it was in excellent condition. The location next to a babbling brook was so tranquil. I highly recommend it.

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We booked the cabin and it was first time in over three years that we could get away. Its was close enough to towns yet far enough and the folks in the are are great. Our 7 month old learn to crawl there and out 2 year old love to play in the creek and run all over.
It was great to have both a hot outside and jetted tub inside.
Our dog loved to visit others in the area also. -

Really enjoyed our time at the cabin and would like to go back. We missed a real fireplace but other than that, we were happy.

Carrboro, NCAbsolutely Wonderful
Left on 06/10/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Upon arriving, the cabin was so cute and when we entered, never did we expect the decor to match and be so wonderful, cute, matched the feel of the cabin itself. The jacuzzi tub was relaxing as much as the hot tub was too. The fireplace, made the whole place nice and toasty and romantic. Furniture well appointed and perfect for the cabin. Views were fabulous and so quiet. It was a great stay!

The area is beautiful, and the cabin/house was very nice. The management was helpful when asked, but stayed out of your way. It could have been a little more private for me. There are others nearby. The porch was wonderful, and allowed me to enjoy the afternoon thunderstorms, dry in a rocker with a scotch on the rocks and a good book.
They lasted a half an hour, made everything smell great, and gave way to the sunny and 70 degree temperature every day.
I love nature, but their were nice places to visit for other things as well. I recommend it for anyone interested in relaxing, or enjoying a multitude of outdoor sports. -

Charlotte, NCPeaceful and Relaxing when they weren't chopping down trees.
Left on 02/08/2011 for a stay in June 2010
This house was the epitome of a mountain cabin as far as build and decor and porches, etc. The one drawback to it was it was right off the main road so, you heard every car that drove by. Also, the whole time we were there they were sawing down trees and clearing land right behind us. The huge, loud trucks would come up and down the road w/ loads of freshly chopped wood.
The rental company had told us that it was very private and well off the main road so, that didn't sit very well with us. That aside, we did have a wonderful time bc the house itself is great. We enjoyed the hot tub and the birds. We just loved all the special touches and it was very clean.
There's a local dog that would go on walks w/ us and lay outside our cabin in the middle of the road waiting for us to wake up in the morning. I guess our new faces broke up the monotony. :) -

Apex, NCBeautiful, well-maintained cabin
Left on 02/07/2011 for a stay in July 2010
Our family enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The decor is simply gorgeous and tastefully done. Very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and had our own campfire by the brook. It was like camping--but with hot showers and comfy beds just a few feet away! We enjoyed trips to Tweetsie and the nearby state park during our visit. We also enjoyed tubing on the nearby New River. Our small children stayed in the upstairs bedroom, while my husband and I had the bedroom downstairs. We liked the front and back porches for relaxing and playing board games together. Great place to stay!

Babbling Brook had everything our family needed. Games, TV, hot tub, porches, separate bedrooms and laundry. This was the first vacation where the kids could go outside and play, etc and were always within view. My husband and I could relax with worry!

Greensboro, NCCrafty cabin near Jefferson
Left on 06/14/2010 for a stay in November 2009
We went last November and had a lovely time in the town of West Jefferson itself. The house was cute but we have little ones who are not a good match with all the crafty decor. We had a great deal of appliance trouble (clothes washer broken, fireplace went out) and we were dissappointed specifically with the rental agency. Things can break but renters need more help when this happens. Repair/ service need policies posted in the cabin were very unhelful and incorrect upon a conversation with the staff at check-out. We were offered a small refund for the troubles, but we never saw it. I left a phone message and an email with no response back to me.
