la jollaWe only stay at Casa Chilicote when we visit Todos Santos
Left on 04/19/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We have been traveling to Todos Santos for over twenty years. Since the Hotelito and Casa Chilicote opened in 2007, we won't stay anywhere else. Jenny and her staff are always available for anything we may need. Jenny has impeccable taste, as noted throughout the house, 4 casitas, and pool area. The kids love walking down to the beach and feeding the baby goats and horses along the way. Also it's very quiet, away from the noise in town. We love visiting.

LondonA wonderful way to relax
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
I have just returned from my second stay in Casa de Chilicote and I will return as soon as I can. It is one of the most relaxed, enchanting and stylishly bohemian places I have visited. The kind of place one almost wants to keep secret in case too many people discover its magic.
Walking just 5 minutes down a sandy track one finds an endless magnificent Pacific beach where in February and March one can sip white wine and watch the whales cruising majestically close by whilest the sun is setting on the distant horizon. Sounds too good to be true. It really is a great place to be.
If you are lucky you might also be part of a turtle launch when the babies, just hatched, scuttle enthusiastically but not always successfully, into the massive
ocean breakers. It's no wonder they return every year to this simple paradise.
And when the sun has set you can wander into the village if Todos Santos and enjoy some great food, a music festival in late January and a film festival in February.
Jenny , the owner of the Hoteilto and the Casa, and all her staff and extended family of dogs, goats, horses and Sean the sheep welcome you warmly to their little bit of colourful heaven

LaxDiscovering another paradise
Left on 08/04/2012 for a stay in July 2012
After our delay at lax for four hours while they fixed our landing gear all we wanted was an easy journey to todos santos. We got on the newly paved road and before we knew it we were turning down the dirt path to our amazing Casa Chilicote. I believe as I walked through the door to our well decorated living room I may have said call home and send for our dog I don't want to go home!!We had arranged to massages with jenny, which we did on the outdoor dining patio as the warm summer breeze blew through the house. Every morning I walked next door for breakfast and a morning swim in the salt water pool at El Hotelito. It was the perfect way to star each day.
Then we would head into town for the freshest sea bass my husband, a chef , has ever had the chance to cook. Organic produce a plenty. The kitchen at Chilicote was equipped with everything we needed to make an amazing lunch and dinner everyday.
We will be back sooner than later. The staff Jenny has hired is friendly, neat and very efficient. Jenny is fabulous. Trust me, this place is dreamy! -

A small group of friends had the pleasure of staying at the main house as well as some friends in the bungalows. The house was amazing! Well decorated, spacious, and comfortable. Upon our arrival, margaritas were waiting for us as well as some farm fresh eggs to cook for breakfast. The owner, Jenny, gave us a wonderful tour and charmed us with her company. The bedrooms were all very comfortable with beds that you won't want to get out of. A fully equipped kitchen, which we put to great use. In addition, the salt water pool was quite refreshing and private. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will recommend El Hotelito to everyone. The rate was very reasonable and the location was just a 10 minute walk to the beach or town. But, we drove so we simply took the car to the beach or town in just two minutes. Since there is no cell service, Jenny kindly provided a cell phone available for use in the area, should we need anything. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and the staff were overly accommodating. Thanks El Hotelito!

Portland, OregonA Perfect Break
Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We stayed in Casa Chilicote for a week with our children 3, 6, and 14. It was absolutely perfect. It was a thrill to arrive "home" after every adventure. We loved the big beds, gorgeous colors, modern decor, rural sounds, stairs to the roof, baby goats in our backyard, and of course the lovely salt water pool. Both of the young ones found a new confidence in their swimming skills. We felt like the baby goats got to trust us, and loved our walks down the sandy road to the beach where we saw all sorts of farm animals. What an amazing mix of sophistication and rural life! The staff were professional and exceptionally kind. Everyone who has seen our pictures want to go, and we plan to return wich is generally not our style.

We had a delightful stay in this large and lovely home. The grounds were beautiful and inviting, and the walks to town or beach were enjoyable, about 15 minutes each. We enjoyed the pool and Jenny's animals - the horses and goats were friendly and quiet. All of us agreed that we would be fortunate to return here and we would definitely recommend the property and Jenny as a very accommodating hostess.

What an amazing place to stay! The owner, Jenny provided the best service we have ever experienced anywhere. She personally greeted us upon arrival and had margarita fixings waiting! She gave us a cell phone to call her if we needed anything. Although we never called her, Jenny still went out of her way to call us with information about a nearby turtle release and whale watching. These tips turned out to be major highlights of our vacation.
We were traveling with 2 young kids and two elderly grandmothers. Jenny made it easy. She took the kids to meet her horses and goats that live just behind the property. She dropped off a stack of kids movies. She even offered to take our kids horseback riding (we ran out of time). The staff was also incredible and checked in on the grandmas one day when we took off for a few hours.
The house is just a 5 minute drive (15 min walk) to town or beach and sits on a very quiet street. The beach at the end of the road is breathtaking with a huge freshwater lagoon just to the south. The lagoon is a bird watcher's paradise. For playing in the waves go to playas Las Palmas or Cerritos.
As you drive through the gate you are truly in a different world. The 3 bedrooms are big and comfy. There is a huge living room with a cozy fireplace (and it is gas so very ez to light). The kitchen had everything we needed for dining in. There are large dining tables inside and outside for celebrations in any weather. The beds were super comfortable and had mosquito netting (we saw no mosquitos). There are multiple patios including a rooftop patio for enjoying the views and stars. There is a large TV, DVD and movies. There is safe, filtered water via a tap in the kitchen. A 60 second walk brings you to the pool. The water was perfect and there are big comfy hammocks for reading. Next to the pool is the small hotel (Hotelito). There is a sweet little bar in a shady colorful garden. -

vancouver, bc, canadaBest place to stay in Todos Santos
Left on 01/03/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Our family of five stayed at Casa Chilcote for close to a week. We loved everything about it. Todos Santos is a wonderful town along the Pacific with a cool, laid-back vibe and lots of great restaurants. I know there are currently concerns about safety in Mexico, but we all felt completely safe the entire time.
The house is big - we did not use one entire suite that (I believe) slept 3. The rooms are all bright and spacious with high ceilings and lots of windows (as opposed to many other places I've stayed in Mexico which tend to be dark), the beds were very comfortable with wonderful linens, the kitchen well-stocked. There is a wood burning fireplace for cool evenings (wood provided and restocked) and an outdoor eating area with a barbeque. We were pleased with the free wifi, as we had trouble getting a connection most other places. We used the pool at the adjacent Hotelito and ate breakfast on their lovely terrace when we did not feel like making our own or wandering around the corner to the cafe.
My children loved walking to the incredible beach at the end of the road and to the riding stable just down the lane. I took advantage of the yoga class offered in the outdoor studio at the Hotelito. Jenny and her staff were always available to help us with anything we needed.
Our only regret is that we left it too late to get a full week - next year we'll book earlier! -

Left on 11/25/2011 for a stay in October 2011
I brought a group of 40 people to Todos Santos from October 23-31, 2011 and 7 stayed here at the house, and 6 at the adjacent little modern cottages next door. We loved it! Anything you need is at the house. Bbq, Kitchen, bathrooms in every bedroom, beautiful balcony views, gorgeous light and one very amazing host, Jenny. The swimming pool is just steps away and you can literally spend your entire day getting in and out of it's lush salt water. My skin felt so amazing when I got back to Los angeles.
The house is designed for privacy if you need it and exceptional places in which to gather, have dinner, enjoy good company and the stars. Take a walk up the staircase outside to the rooftop at night and watch the light show in the sky. It's pretty amazing.
All the beds are really comfortable and bedrooms are kept cool with aC. Plenty of places to stash your suitcases to keep the room looking pretty while you're staying there and the bathrooms are really 5star. The house is quite affordable for a weeks stay especially for the quality that is provided. I'm estimating that the house is about 4000 sq. ft. and if you include the outdoor dining and rooftop deck add another 500. Plenty of space. You'll feel like you've stepped into your own private retreat.
The owner has two beautiful horses you can watch from your balcony too. And if you're lucky, at night a wild white mare walks up and down the road. If you talk to her softly she'll let you pet her nose.
There's a little coffee shop, La Esquina, if you need espresso just a short walk away and a grocery store around the corner if you need to do some shopping. You feel like you are away from everything at the house, but there's a lot of things around you still.
It's amazing here. Do it! It's truly a beautiful location. And the town is incredibly safe. We walked all over the place, people are friendly. -

We stayed at Casa Chilicote for two weeks in early October 2010, and enjoyed every minute of it. The house is so stylish, spacious, modern and comfortable, with huge bedrooms overlooking palm and mango trees, a wonderfully huge living-room and excellent kitchen. Very friendly and efficient staff. What a pleasure it was to wake up in such an elegant house, go for a walk along the path to the sea and dunes, or you can ride there, and along the beach, with Jenny and her horses. It's a 10-minute walk into town, where there are excellent restaurants, shops and cafes. Buena Vida restaurant has the best slow-cooked chicken and vegetables in Mexico, and try their home-made ice cream ! We often went to swim and surf at Los Cerritos beach outside Todos Santos, and the walking in the hills is marvellous. Casa Chilicote is a truly stylish house, you are in a peaceful private place, but it's great to walk across the courtyard to a beautifully cool swimming pool, and come back from a day of adventure to have a shower and then go to the hotel's bar where Mario, one of the town's top surf teachers, will offer you a Margherita or his own special orange cocktail, before having superb sushi and sashimi at the outdoor restaurant. Thank you, Jenny. We had a magic experience, and we'll definitely come back !

Our stay at El Hotelito was wonderful. We were
greeted by the owner upon arrival and after a brief
tour of the house and grounds, were left alone to
make ourselves at home. The house was very clean
and comfortable with 3 spacious bedrooms and a
fully equipped kitchen. We are a family of five,
parents and three teenage children, and we had
plenty of room in this house, never feeling
crowded. The staff at the hotel were always nearby
when needed, but out of sight when not. The brand
new lap pool was the perfect temperature whether we
were there in the heat of the day or well after
sunset. Both the town and the beach were within
walking distance. The Mangrove trees lining the
road to the beach gave us fresh fruit every
morning.
We would absolutely stay here again!! -

Los AngelesParadise found at The Hotelito
Left on 12/10/2009 for a stay in November 2009
If you're looking for a stylish getaway that's peaceful and hip at the same time Hotelito is the place for you.
Just a 5 minute car ride into town will get you to bars, restaurants and some shoppping. Don't expect to find Barney's or Neiman Marcus or paved streets for that matter -- but that's the charm of Todos Santos.
We stayed for 8 days and felt completely recharged and renewed by the time we returned to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
The Hotelito amenities are ample and staff are incomparable. For those who need to stay connected to the "outside world" she provides free wireless access. There is a TV but no channels so if staying in and watching movies is your speed, then make sure you have DVD's for viewing.
If you are a family of 4 or 5, rent the house. It's spacious and lovely. If you're a couple on a romantic getaway, rent one of the Casitas -- super private and very well appointed.
Who needs Cabo when you have Todos Santos!!!!

Left on 11/01/2009 for a stay in March 2009
This house is the BEST in Todos Santos. I have been traveling to TS for 15
years and ever since Jenny brought her impeccable style to Todos Santos, we
don't stay anywhere else. The house is enormous, clean, quiet, and
comfortable. The vibe is calm, peaceful, and visually stunning. It's a joy to
walk to the beach in the evenings to watch the sunset, or into town for an
amazing meal. Anything we needed was available to us.
We are looking forward to returning in the spring to enjoy the new pool. I
can't say enough about this home, the housekeeping staff and Jenny herself.
Todos Santos is a spacial place away from the hustle and bustle of Cabo and
staying at Casa Casa de Chilicoto is paradise.
