Hello aldo and Bequia! I have sat down so many times to write this but could not seem to find the words to express enough gratitude for your incredible getaway and your gracious hospitality. Nor did I understand the magnitude of the changes that the trip itself had created in my life as a whole (still not sure I do).
You both are some of the finest folks I have come across. The place was perfect! Thank you for accommodating our needs with such warmth and integrity. The trip to Todos Santos was far more than I could have imagined. Completely fell in love. It changed me in a huge way. Opened my heart in ways I am still trying to understand. I had not had a real break from building my business for seven years and did not even realize how much I needed it. Todos gave me more than I could have asked for in any vacation. The most incredible people, amazing food, art and culture. It now feels like a home away from home. Your Casitas are the perfect getaway. And how I miss that beach! Miles and miles of heavenly sand all to myself. Yoga, jogging, reading, writing. Playing music in the garden with Bequia. Sunsets in the rooftop hammocks. You guys have really done it up proper! I really hope you both are doing well and look forward to seeing you again. Huge huge love.

Our stay at Marita's Casitas was absolutely perfect. A friend and I stayed in the upper level unit and loved it! The views from the rooftop deck were amazing, and it was such a short walk to the beach. We happened to be there when a local conservation group was hatching and releasing its last group of sea turtles, and we got to participate! It was an incredible experience - waiting until the sun had set to make sure that every last little one made it into the crashing water. Though we didn't get to meet aldo during our trip, he was very attentive, helpful, and patient (we had last minute reservation changes and lost the key!) before and during our stay. The kitchen, dining, and sitting area are under a palapa roof and screened in on two sides with some windows as well - it has a more rustic feel than the bed and bathroom that have a more conventional ceiling, and windows that can be opened. The kitchen was really well outfitted - we cooked many meals there and weren't at all lacking. Definitely heed aldo's advice and make sure food is safely wrapped up and put away, or little creatures will be sure to join you in the kitchen. It was a really good amount of space for 2 people - anymore and it would be a bit crowded. I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to go back...

With the lingering effects of our stay at Maritas Casitas still coursing through my veins, I want to tell all of you to come stay here. The location of their place is perfection. From the top deck sunrise coming over the Sierra de La Lagunas to our east, accompanied by Doves, Orioles and Woodpeckers, to the sunlit sea, white-spray waves crashing to the west, the tranquility of this location cannot be surpassed. Morning yoga on the top deck, followed by walks along sandy roads with delicate desert plants, to the sufing/swimming beaches just south at Cerritos, to some of the best food you can have in Mexico, particularly at Las Casitas in Todos Santos.
Did I mention, after traveling in Mexico for 30 years, hands-down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in this country.
And, there is another vital component to your stay here: Aldo and Bequia, the owners. There are people in this world who you encounter and walk away from with the most lovely, warm feeling of mutual love of all things great in the world. They are the kind of people who you feel as though you've known for a very long time. They are most gracious, accommodating and helpful hosts. They are like the icing on the cake.
Come see this special place, Todos Santos, and stay in the most comfortable, inviting place. You will be so glad you did.

Casitas Maritas is a humble but comfy place to stay. The view from the roof is sublime, especially when the sun sinks into the Pacific Ocean. It's a very short walk to miles of sand beach. The cactus garden is a fine place to spend time, as is the roof patio. Owners aldo and Becqui are super welcoming, attentive to their guests, relaxed yet responsible. There are bigger, more oppulent rentals near Todos Santos, but I can't think of a reason I'd prefer them to Casitas Maritas. It has everything we wanted!

Our brief stay at this location gave us a taste of what it would be like to live in mexico on a seasonal basis. The unit is convieniently located just outside of town and very close to the beach. The upstairs provides a distant view of the surfers beach where you can monitor the conditions from about 1 mile away. The beach is endless going north and very sparsely used. The townsite is a real treat with things to see and do and plenty of decent places to eat.

We just got back from 9 glorious days at Maritas Casitas. Aldo is a wonderful host - great directions to the unit, local markets, restaurants, beaches (w/ surfing ratings for beginners), ice cream, shopping, etc... My husband, 6-year old daughter and I staying on the garden level. An inflatable mattress was provided and fit easily in the sleeping area of the studio. We loved the indoor and outdoor showers, outdoor dining, palapa w/ hammock, and exploring the desert garden w/ numerous cacti and succulent plants. The 3rd Floor deck was a great spot for sunrise smoothies, sunset snacks, shooting star gazing and whale watching. Martias is located in a very quite spot, just a 100 yard walk to beach combing and the Turtle Sanctuary... We'll be back.

Maritas Casitas is the perfect place for a couple to enjoy Baja and stay out of the tourist traps of Cabo and La Paz. The Casita was clean, well equiped and walking distance to the beach. Several little neighborhood grocery stores are nearby. A decent surf spot is a short 5 minute drive down the road. Downtown Todos Santos is 5 minutes the other direction.

The casita is a little slice of paradise that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all... but not too far away. The beach, just a block or so down the road, was beautiful with very few other people, yet the vibrant town of Todos Santos is only a 10 minute drive away. We stayed in the upstairs unit which was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the rooftop deck was amazing for sunrises and sunsets. The town of Todos Santos is extremely charming with friendly people, great food and a very positive energy to it. We hope to visit again sometime soon.

Our stay at Maritas Casitas was awesome. Close to the beach, the place is much larger than in looks like from the pictures and it is very affordable. The Casita is located in a residential area just north of Todos and away from any touristy places. Aldo was very communicative and made the whole process of booking and renting simple. Do yourself a favor and stay at this awesome get away while you are in the Todos area

Recently stayed at Maritas Casitas- we stayed in the garden view unit. The casita was spotlessly clean, everything functioned including the wifi which was robust and fast. The location of the casita is great- about equidistant to the surf spots and to town a bit off the main dusty road so noise and dust is not a problem at all. My girlfriend enjoyed her stay as well and I'm certain we'd rent from aldo again- stay at Maritas, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed from Christmas till New Year's, had a fine time. Very close to the beach (5 minute walk) and you could hear the surf at night. The house is very pleasant and convenient; the third-floor deck is the cocktail spot of the gods. Saw whales every day we were there. The upstairs where we stayed is perfectly suited for a couple. Overall a great experience.

Marita's Casitas was a wonderful vacation. It's a short walk to the beach, and they were releasing baby sea turtles the night we arrived!
The place is very true to the description, which is refreshing.
Aldo is very helpful, and gives great tips about the area. Would definitely stay here again.Response from Alan Cooper aka, - 02/01/2013

Left on 12/22/2012 for a stay in December 2012
My boyfriend and I stayed at Marita's Casitas for just a week this December, and it was not long enough!!! The Casitas are ideally located just North of Todos Santos in a quiet neighborhood, and walking distance from the beach. With the center of Todos Santos so close we were able to shop daily for the freshest sea food and vegetables without any hassle, and prepare amazing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. From the rooftop we were able to enjoy our coffee/margarita and watch the sun rise/set. We were able to see the whales breach as they migrated south from the Casitas as well, but wih so many beaches so close we had our pick of the best viewpoint at any time. As a surfer, the Casitas were ideal for my boyfriend- you can actually see the waves as La Pastora from the Casitas- but it's only about a 15 minute drive from Cerritos and a few other local surf spots. All in all- I can't say enough about aldo and Bequia's hostpitality and the Casitas. It was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to go back!

When I booked Maritas Casitas for my husband and me, I thought it looked charming and perfect for us. I was right. We stayed 15 days and loved every minute of it. Alan and Bequia have thought of everything to help their guests feel at home. The little kitchen was stocked with everything a person might need/want, and they provided books and personal recommendations of things to see and do. Did I mention location? Lovely spot within access to the places we wanted to see. We celebrated our anniversary during that vacation and will always remember how special it was. We have since made this area our home, and we continue to recommend Maritas Casitas to others.
