My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights in late February. We were met by Julie on the highway and led down the road to this amazing home on the beach that was to be all ours for the next 4 nights! We walked in to the sound of crashing waves and the reflection of moonlight on the surf, breaching whales and were enchanted. We rented the Casita which is an open concept livingroom, bedroom, bathroom and deck on the second story of this home. We met Bogie, who was to be my beach companion for the trip, settled in and were served an amazing dinner with wine on our deck. It was splendid.
The casita is classy, comfortable, clean and modern. There is wi-fi, satellite tv, games, books, toiletries, beach towels, coffee maker, bar fridge, beach chairs, cooler, sun umbrella - everything you need. There is a/C but it was unseasonably chilly this visit so we never used it. The Casita feels much bigger than it is as the windows are huge and bright. I wish there were cooking facilities in the Casita as this location demands you drive somewhere to eat. I also wish there was a door on the bathroom instead of the weighted curtain - just for a little privacy while on a romantic holiday.
What you need to know:
- You must rent a car ... we rented from Dominic which we highly highly recommend..cash deal, no contracts, no waiting at the airport ... perfect! dominicloscabos.com
- Bring warm clothes for night
- You cannot swim off this beach but walk 20 mins North, there is a surfing area or drive over the beachside rd (fascinating) South to Cerritos Beach
- Take Bogie with you on your walk - I fell in love with that dog
- Have a beach fire one night
- Have Coffee at Baja Beans and dinner at & less than an hour to Cabo.
- You are 90 mins or less from the airport
- Ask Julie for recommendations, she's a wealth of information
We loved this place! Later that week we stayed in Cabo at a B&B; and then in San Jose at the Westin...we wished we were at CasablancaResponse from julie oneill - 03/17/2013

We found this casita and it's owner to be one of the best finds in the Todos Santos area. The room was exceptionally cleaned, decorated with class with a view to die for. Large windows let a wonderful breeze and the sounds of the ocean waft through the room. A simple walk to the shady palapa to read a book with a margarita. walk through the gate and you are on the beach. Not a soul in site for a week.
The owner Julie knows all the places to dine locally and romantically. Todos Santos is a short drive away to see the art gallaries and meet the wonderful people. Surfing beach is about a 10 minute drive on the back road. Julie offered in room wonderfully prepared and presented meals when requested and is a warm, friendly person. We will definately be going back to enjoy this casita again. Sammy and Jimmie

Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed in the Casita (which is the private 2nd floor of this beautiful villa) for 4 nights and it was truly a treasure. Julie and Deacon were wonderful, non-intrusive hosts, full of great local information which made our trip absolutely special. The location is stunning- completely private beach, which we walked along everyday accompanied by the darling dog Bogie- had great breakfasts at Rancho Pescadero an easy 15 min walk away, so we never felt guilty about the calories:-) A short drive over dirt roads to Cerritos Beach brought us to the swimmable parts of the beach, and all amenities of Surf Colony etc, but at night we had our private hideaway, no one else around. The Casita itself is charming- incredible balcony, comfy bed, fluffy towels- what more do you need- oh and the Full Moon showed up every night!
Thank you both for a magical intro to this part of mexico- we will be back to see the turtles, maybe this October!Response from julie oneill - 08/13/2012

The pictures of the guest casita, while accurate, can't capture how warm and luxurious the appointments really are. The views of the beach and the sounds of the surf make the casita heavenly. The sitting area is spacious; the deck is a special place to spend hours; the bedding is comfortable; and the bathroom is stocked with soft towels and toiletries.
The villa is perched above the beach. The yard slopes down to the beach, which is a minute or two walk away. It's not a swimming beach, but it is a great spot to plant an umbrella, a blanket, and chairs (all provided, plus a cooler), and sit for hours reading, drinking, or sleeping. Very few people use the beach, so it feels very private.
Julie met us on the main highway and led us to the villa, which is located about five minutes off the main highway, along a somewhat bumpy dirt road. The villa is very close to Los Cerritos beach - probably the best swimming beach in the area. The villa is about a ten minute drive to Todos Santos. The villa is very private (not crowded on all sides by other houses). On the highway, there's a pizza place, a laid-back bar, a coffee shop, and a couple of little of markets.
Julie cooked and served us several meals - two dinners at sunset, and a handful of breakfasts on the main house deck. All of the meals were delicious and interesting. The breakfasts included juice, a hot dish, and fresh fruit. The dinners were amazing - one was chicken enchiladas and chile relleno; the other was sea bass, coconut shrimp, and sushi rolls; both included salads. Note that Julie can't serve alcohol, so you have to plan to have your own alcohol (there's a mini-fridge in the casita).
Julie and Deacon's dog, Bogie, loves visitors. She spent time with us on the beach and loved to mingle with us while we were down on the main house deck and around the property. She's a sweetheart with a lot of energy, who gave us lots of affection and laughter.Response from julie oneill - 08/13/2012

DenverWonderful Getaway
Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had an excellent time at Casablanca. We stayed in the Casita, and as mentioned, the suite provides plenty of room for a couple. The suite was furnished with everything we needed for our stay, including sundries, dishes, towels, etc. The deck is wonderful and the view is incredible. The sound of crashing surf fills the room! The constant sea breeze kept the suite comfortable - even in mid-July. The home is quite private, and felt extremely secure. One note...the ocean immediately in front of the home can be too rough for swimming. The nearest swim-beach is Playa Cerritos - a short (5 minute) drive down the coast. Thanks for a wonderful time. My wife and I will surely return.

My wife and I wanted a romantic place to stay to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were looking for a beachfront location that was far removed from the typical tourist scene, and somewhat secluded. Although we weren't sure what to expect in Mexico our stay here was more than we could've hoped for. We rented the Casita which proved to be more than adequate, and Julie, Deacon, and Bogey (the dog) were gracious hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. We planned on spending the weekend on the beach but Julie recommended some amazing places to eat and explore which we couldn't pass up. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer.

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. It has the perfect position on a stunning beach, you fall asleep to crash of the surf every night. The hosts are very warm and helpful and their crab-hunting beach dog was an added bonus for morning strolls along the sand.

My husband and I have travelled frequently to San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. This time we were looking for something a little more low-key and privat and we found Casablanca! We spent several days at thecasita. The casita was the perfect size for the 2 of us. The whole vibe of the villa and casita is calm and relaxing. Julie is wonderful! Deacon is charming and Bogey is the best beach buddy.
We wanted a place that was private and where we wouldn't be bothered and we certainly found it! There were several days when we had the entire beach to ourselves. Julie prepared a wonderful breakfast for us and had a delicious surprise dessert (tapioca pudding!)
SJD, CSL and Todos Santos areas are all fun and safe places to visit. Lots of culture and history, especially away from the tourist areas of CSL. Great restaurants (both low and high end) and we sampled some wonderful local wines as well. Take time to explore the local culture, many surprising finds! La Candelaria was a treat.
No problems with airport (arriving or leaving) nor any problems with car rental. Road from CSL to ts was being widened from 2 to 4 lanes so expect delays, although at the time we were there (late april, early May) road work was about 80% complete and we did not experience any delays.Response from julie oneill - 05/29/2012
