This is one of the finest estates in Tofino. The property is directly across from North Chestermans and is surrounded by bamboo and palm trees. Inside is even better. Beautifully furnished with lovely wooden floors, a warming fireplace, tasteful local paintings and a well-stocked kitchen. A perfect place to get the authentic "cottage feel", without compromising upscale amenities and comfort. My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway during the middle of March Break- when usually all hotels, even upscale ones like the Wickanninish Inn, are crowded and expensive. The Nootka House was the perfect choice. My girlfriend absolutely loved the master bedroom and en suite bathroom. The ceilings are a warm mahogany colour and there are two skylights creating a lovely ambiance. I'm a surfer, so we were both stoked about the showers and dryroom for wetsuits right out back. It was stormy while we stayed and we cozied up inside with the fire and scrabble and cooked a delicious meal with local produce from town. The place definitely could have fit more occupants comfortably, especially since the other bedrooms are on a separate floor. We would certainly recommend Nootka House to other couples, families, or groups and can't wait to book another holiday here. Five stars!

This spacious home welcomed all seven of us adults plus our well behaved dogs. We cooked most of our meals in the well euipped kitchen and dining room. The gas fireplace was a welcome touch after a day of surfing. The bedrooms were spacious and private on the second and upper level. The deck was huge and wrapped around the home. The firepit was also a nice touch but the very best thing about this home is being to able to either spend a lovely walk with a coffee on the every changing Chestermans Beach or pack up the surf board and head out to ride the waves and then dry your suit in the dry room. It was a fabulous two weeks for all of us!

Three of us (girls) stayed here in July. While the house is in need of some updating, the proximity is great. You are less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean, well stocked for dishes and supplies, and the huge yard nicely kept. There is also another little housemate on site, named "Grice", who lives in the suite. Very friendly cat, who might just walk in and make herself at home. Enjoyed our stay.

The house was great, equipped for everything we needed, a short walk to the beach, between Tofino and Pacific Rim Park. Pretty much what we needed. There is an enclosed, well maintained yard with a community cat named Gricey.

The owner was very nice and made us feel comfortable immediately. This house is nothing rustic and accommodate a lot of guests comfortably. Also have the best location to enjoy all beaches and downtown Tofino. My favorite part is the shower, change rooms and dry closet for wet suite after surfing. I fully enjoy our stay last year and we are defenetly coming back this year!

Our family of 6 adults, 2 preschoolers and 2 very small dogs spent 3 nights at Nootka House and enjoyed the accommodation very much. The home offers spacious living and dining rooms, good u-shaped kitchen, front & back yards, barbeque, deck, 2 full baths & 1 powder room. Two parents, with their 2 children took over the upper level of the home. That level had 1 large bedroom with queen bed and fold out double and ensuite. There was plenty of room for the playpen, too. Second level had a shared bathroom with two bedrooms of standard size. The owner allowed use of his laundry facilities, which was appreciated travelling with small children. Another plus for this home was outdoor shower for surfers to rinse off wetsuits (nice for the rest of us to rinse sand off feet after beach time!) and the wetsuit drying room. We've decided it's a perfect family reunion destination and look forward to next year!
