I love staying at aspenwood because everything is so new, clean, and untroubled. This condo has lots of sweet spaces ... gorgeous wood kitchen table overlooking the miles-long lake view ... bedroom with giant lake-facing window and view of the evening moon on the water ... comfy TV room downstairs with a relaxing feel and even more lake view ... glimmering clean bathroom and tub with jets. Highly recommend a visit.

I rented this townhome with my adult children, so the extra space was wonderful. Loved waking up to the view of Superior, and the lights of Grand Marais at night. Very relaxing. My only issue was not understanding how the heat worked and the delay for warming up the condo.

I had a nice stay at aspenwood 6540. It was quiet and roomy, and close to the Lutsen Mountain Resort, which was the reason for my stay. My major issue was the kitchen. Though the appliances and dishes were provided it was not quite what it could have been, or like what I have experienced at other ski and stay places. There were no mixing bowls, and the biggest issue no spices or cooking essentials like oil. I live out of the country and so I did not want to purchase these things just to have them thrown away at the end of my stay. Please consider providing cooking essentials like salt, pepper and oil at minimum for future guests. Unless these things are provided I will not return, as there are plenty of other facilities that do provide such things. Little issue: no heat in the bedroom! A plug in heater was provided, but because of the room layout, was only affective for one side of the bed.

Thanks for your review of Aspenwood 6540. We are sorry that no food items/cooking items were provided in the kitchen, but we are not allowed to have anything in any kitchen which is mandated by the MN Department of Health.
We also apologize for the bedroom heat issue - we do offer a 24 hour line for rental emergencies (like your heat being out) which you could have called to resolve the heat issue.
We will contact the owner about the kitchen mixing bowls and the heat issue.

This three level condominium is very nice. It looked brand new and was very clean and well laid out. The lower level has access to the back of the unit, a living area with couch and TV and a bathroom with shower. The middle level has a small front living room, half bathroom, and kitchen with a small deck (no grill). The top level has a master bedroom, guest bedroom and full bathroom, along with a washer and dryer. The unit could use some more furniture in the lower level (has a couch and one chair) but it also has a gas fireplace unit that was very nice after skiing. The view is gorgeous of Lake Superior but be aware that access to the beach is extremely difficult and requires climbing down a very steep iron staircase and then over some big and small rocks. I would not bring small children here and leave them unattended. Once you get down to the beach it is beautiful and secluded.
