  We felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our view of Lake Superior with the waves crashing and sounding against the shoreline and a fire inside. Being able to use the walking path was appreciated for convenience & safety. Extremely comfortable for 2 people. The Keurig coffee maker was a definite plus. Just a few appliances need updating.

  The Best of Bluefin, but needs a few things

  One of the best units at Bluefin, we have stayed here several times. The owners provided a very nice well stocked coffee and tea service. The cleaning this time looked rushed: there was a gross food mess inside the sofa bed and the fireplace was not cleaned. We use both of these amenities so it could have been better. Also, it's time to add an Ipod dock music solution, even a nice iPod ready clock radio would be nice. With internet access available it would be perfect to stream music from an iPhone.

  Bluefin Bay resort offers 3rd day free thru mid-June. Cascade Vacation Rentals does not. We will look elsewhere next spring.

  Great Condo Rental On Lake Superior @ Bluefin Bay

  We decided to celebrate our 42nd anniversary on the north shore of Lake Superior, as we usually do. I discovered 3 privately owned condo/townhomes @ Bluefin Bay Resort. The reservation was handled by Tala @ Cascade Rentals. I booked #56a, the "Pet Friendly" condo that was more in our budget. Tala assured me the unit was well cleaned and wouldn't have pet ordor or stains. Upon check-in we found we'd been upgraded to the higher priced end unit, a wonderful, unexpected surprise!
  The condo, as advertised, was squeaky clean and decorated with flair and a lodge-style theme. Included was all the wood we could burn, specialty coffees and gift coupons. My husband now wants a Keurig coffee machine. I don't like cooking on an electric stove and the kitchen could have used a larger skillet, but these small things in no way changed our opinion of this great condo. We can't wait to return! The reduced rates, at this quiet time of year, are a great incentive to do just that. We usually book rentals through another company, but we will happily deal with Cascade Rentals, again.
