This newer, extremely private, all-year home is located in Tofte on the Leveaux Mountain hillside. You'll enjoy easy access to hiking and cross country ski trails on both Leveaux and Oberg Mountains. The tastefully appointed home features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, lovely southern yellow pine floors, bedroom and bath on each floor for privacy, a wildlife pond and views of Lake Superior. The hiking trail is located right off the north end of the parking area. It's minutes from the Lutsen ski hill. This property is perfect for the discriminating vacationer.

a beautiful, welcoming, well equipped home. Meals on the deck were a highlight. The accordion and board games provided hours of unplugged family fun. Registration, check-in/out was fast and convenient. We'll be back!

Lovely place to stay. House is well kept and stylish, very comfortable. The yard has a fire pit, picnic table, little pond. It's just minutes from Lutsen and 30 minutes from Grand Marais. We would definitely go again.

This was a perfect place for a weekend get-away. Lots of room to roam (both inside and out), fully furnished with everything you need, with a view that is amazing.

The lodge had a great cabin feel from floor to ceiling, with lots of interesting antiques and momentos. The location is very private and the different views of the lake during the day were awesome. We loved it!

This house was fantastic! My parents were here visiting from Wyoming and we drove up the North shore on our motorcycles, so we didn't want to stay directly in a house on Lake Superior. The view was beautiful. The craftsmanship inside the house was very detailed and the deck was a perfect spot to get together at the end of the day. As a last minute booking I think we found a little piece of paradise!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. We were very grateful it was offered up for free for active duty military service members for one weekend. The setting was perfect. It was off HWY 61 far enough so we didn't hear any road noise. Very secluded and had fantastic views of Lake Superior from the decks. We loved all the northwoods decor. It is also conveniently located just 2 1/2 miles from the Superior Hiking Trail. The Oberg Mt. loop trail is a must! The views were unreal. The only downside was that I had to give the cleanliness category only 3 stars because the counters, table and floor had a lot of crumbs all over. I ended up vacuuming right when we got there. There was also garbage left from someone else in the closet which we had to take care of. So housekeeping needs to pay more attention to detail. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay.

We arrived late Friday night. We loved the setting but were unable to use the firepit due to rain over the weekend. The home is very inviting, comfortable and nicely decorated. The couch isn't the most comfortable but loved the jacuzzi. Really had a nice time and would come back again. Thank you for the great experience.

I stayed during the off-season for the North Shore but had a wonderful time in this beautiful, yet not-over-the-top home. This place must be absolutely gorgeous in the summer and fall. The views of Lake Superior are great and you're a good distance off of Hwy 61, so there is minimal (if any) traffic noise. Grand Marais is an easy half hour or so away and there are several state parks within easy driving distance. I was trout fishing for the weekend and the location was ideal for access to many beautiful streams with brook and rainbow trout. The location of the home on Leveaux Mountain was described to me as "in a gated community without a gate". True, the area is being developed with other vacation homes, but many/most of the lots are still empty and there is a decent amount of distance and birch/aspen forest between properties to make you feel rather secluded. One day on my way out, I saw a red fox with his afternoon snack trotting down the road. I loved having a nice kitchen (new and beautiful gas range) to prepare delicious meals in. The master bedroom had a comfortable bed and the whirlpool bathroom off of it was a lovely treat. My only complaint is that I was not a fan of the full white wolf hide hanging on the wall - it was shocking to see and I had to take it down during our stay because I found it too disturbing. Otherwise, I had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It's a great retreat for a couple looking to get away and hole up for the weekend, or a family (there is a 2nd bedroom downstairs and a futon in the living room) wanting to explore North Shore recreational opportunities. I loved my stay and would definitely stay again.

I would definitely recommend this house again! I was amazed as to how big, clean, easy to find and how central it was to everything we wanted to do. It was a really good value for what we got. I'd even say cheap. Because it is still being developed, we didn't have a neighbor in sight. The check in/out was really easy as all we had to do was drop the key off when we left.
