      They treated us like queens!

Left on 05/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Ventana a Las Olas is a wonderful and incredibly unique experience.

We had our eyes on Nicaragua as an alternative surf destination to Costa Rica which we have found after multiple trips, to be too crowded. The Ventana all inclusive package of transportation, meals, luxury accomodations and daily surf guides is impossible to beat. We would not have done this trip any other way-especially being two women surfers traveling on our own.

We had expert surf guides who encouraged us to push beyond our limits and improved our surfing abilities. The surf photography sessions we were provided were priceless- we both improved elements of our surfing just from looking at photos. There are so many surf spots in the area, without the guides, we would have wasted finding the right spot on any given day. The boat trip to the left point break was off the charts fantastic!

On top of that, we were treated like queens to indulgent service and hospitality, topped off with a large dose of charm and humor. Todd and Tom maintained the highest standards of excellent service, let there be no doubt. We both enjoyed our time with them and getting to know them as individuals.

We will be talking about this trip for a long time and we will be back
      soon.

      Exceeded my already high expectations!

Left on 05/14/2013 for a stay in November 2012

Our stay at Ventana a las Olas was nothing short of amazing. We really tested the limits by having an all dude group of 8 surfers ranging in age from 13 to 50. Tom, Chico, Julian and the rest of the staff did an incredible job making sure everyone was happy. Thanks to Julian's excellent fuel-filled food along with Tom and Chico's knowledge we were able to surf 3-4 sessions per day. These guys have this place dialed in. Nothing beats surfing great warm waves with your friends, coming back to the house where an awesome meal is waiting for you, taking a little nap in your private room with aC then waking up in your boardies ready for the next session. I came into this trip having read every review on here so my expectations were set pretty high. I thought I'll check Nicaragua off the list then on to the next destination. Now I'm having a really hard time convincing myself to go anywhere else. In fact, I'm ready to bring the wife back. Although we never got a chance to meet Myles, he contacted us via email long before our arrival to find out if there was anything we would like to have. I made a request for plenty of Coke Zero and another guy in our group requested Peanut M&M;'s. There's was enough Coke Zero to last me a year and there was no shortage of M&M;'s, among many other snacks. Keep it up guys and I will definitely be seeing you again soon. Chico Rocks!

I have now visited Nicaragua 5 times, 2 of which I've had the pleasure to stay at Ventana a Las Olas. I have to say there is no better way to do a surf trip. You get anything and everything you could possibly want. Great meals, exceptional service, super comfortable rooms, and great waves are what you will be greeted with. Thanks so much Miles for another fantastic time, can't wait to get back soon!

Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Ventana a las Olas was much more than I expected. From the moment my boyfriend and I were picked up in Managua we felt incredibly safe and were treated like friends. Miles and Tom were so accommodating in anything we wanted to do, including tours of the surrounding cities and educating us on the culture and community during the largest holiday in Nicaragua. The 3-4 meals that were prepared daily for us (at a time we dictated) were healthy, delicious and always more than we could finish. The cabana was beautiful and we often awoke to see amazing wild life right outside the window! Since they never mix groups, it was just my boyfriend and I in the large and lovely Ventana a las Olas with all of the friendly staff available to help us. The weather was lovely every day and we took full advantage of drinks and pool in the sun at the clubhouse down the street.

My favorite part of the whole trip was learning to surf. We showed up as non-surfers that wanted to learn the sport, and through Miles and Tom's patient efforts we were both able to not only stand on the boards, but catch bigger un-broken waves. The waves here are big though, and there will be more options for where to surf when we return as competent surfers. This vacation was the perfect way to relax and get away from work, worry and stress. This vacation is unbeatable, and this price is so reasonable. We are already planning our return, and we'll be bringing friends!

Imagine you had a really cool friend with a great pad in the most beautiful place in the world. Imagine that he was an awesome host that enthusiastically wanted to show you very cool stuff and take you to do anything you might think of that you wanted to do. Imagine that all this made you really happy, relaxed and feeling amazed at how lucky you were to find this place. This is close to what a visit to Ventana a las Olas is like. Miles and his crew were attentive and fun but also gave us ample space to relax and enjoy the hammocks, yoga, sunsets, pool, games, guitars and each other on our honeymoon. We relaxed, surfed daily and saw some of the most pristine nature the world has to offer (monkeys, birds that are hard to believe exist in real life, and tropical fish in rock pools to name a few). This is not Club Med or some such, if that's what you are looking for than probably this venue isn't for you. This is an authentic, fun place with cool people that will take great care of you and where you will have the time of your life. We have traveled the world and this is one of the best places we have found, hands down...I have already recommended Ventana a las Olas, Rancho Santana to, oh, everyone I know that will listen, and now I am telling you--this place rocks.

Absolutely First Class Stay In Nicaragua

Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Firstly, let me say what an amazing time we had at your place. It was
      absolutely first class.

We have been to many places in Central america with Waterways Surf Travel but you have
      exceeded them all.

Your staff made our stay all the more enjoyable, especially Tom with his
patience, professionalism and knowledge of all the surf breaks, and we got plenty of waves and a fun boat trip to playgrounds too.

You have a fantastic location with so much wildlife to see on your
property alone. Your team was discrete, quiet and very helpful and they
always had a smile. The food was delicious and plentiful and we loved
      Yolandas too.
Thanks again for the upgrade to the suite upstairs. The balcony was my
favorite place to read and nap and truly relax.
We are in El Salvador at the moment and wishing we were spending more time
in Ventana a las Olas instead.

Thank you and your team again for making our trip so memorable.

You will be seeing us again for sure.

Big Thanks to Miles, Tom, Chico, Julian & the rest of the team. You guys have it really dialed in! - - Unsure of what to expect, you guys were beyond accommodating on every level from arrival to departure.

Your knowledge of the area/region was not only educational but yielded awesome surf at multiple local breaks throughout the week. Taking into account swell direction, periods, tides and winds all factored into scoring a wave every day.

      Amazing, healthy meals geared towards a super active day was enough to keep me happy but there was so much more including your extra friendly staff (I'd call it family), clean living & plenty of living space to enjoy with friends or escape for some R&R.;

I'd list more but going to Ventana a las Olas is the only thing that will really do these comments any justice.

Thank you and see you guys sooner then later!

This experience with Ventana a Las Olas far exceeded my expections. Miles, Tom, Chico and Julian did an amazing job making our trip fabulous. The food was abundant and unbelievably good and being chauffered via 4 wheel drive to every surf location was fun and informative. The accomodations and flexibility just can't be beat anywhere else. Do not make the mistake of thinking you can go to this part of Nica and just "wing it"- it really is not possible. This is a very remote area with roads that are not marked and require expert drivers and guides. The surf here is also different and it is helpful to get an insiders input on the nuances of each break. The daily flexibility of arranging your agenda and activities and their ability to make it happen far exceeded any surf group I had researched and they definitely delivered. I can't wait to return !

An absolutely amazing experience and a true vacation! The Ventanas Las Olas experience defines what it means to be world class, all-inclusive and luxury. And the surf is epic too! The program the crew runs is exceptional - from the airport transfers to the knowledge of the surf, to the food, to the staff - it is everything you want in a surf vacation and we plan on coming back at least once every year! The property is breathtaking and exactly what you want in a surf vacation. Great view of the waves, pool with a view, rooms with views, comfy beds, and aC! And generators to back it all up! It truly felt like home. The food was delicious, healthy, and always ready when we were hungry. And the availability of drinks and snacks at any time made it feel like we never left home.We have never had someone load our boards in the car and hang our gear up top dry.Top notch service to say the least and we were truly able to relax at all times. Someone was always ready and happy to take us to check any wave, or show us around the ranch.Tom is the ultimate surf guide and has an extremely rare combination of traits that you seldom find in surfers. His knowledge is vast - surfing, life, health, the world. His surfing ability speaks for itself yet he is void of any ego.If the surf guide gig ever runs out he is probably a good candidate for the next Dos Equis "most interesting man in the world". The rest of the staff is nothing short of amazing as well. Chico is rad. Funny as heck and always smiling. He makes some great food too. You can tell that all of the staff enjoy their jobs and those good vibes show!
And then there is the surf! It's insane. So many breaks, so much variety and power plus all day off shores. The respect the locals have for what you guys do for the community is really cool. Great waves, great people, and truly relaxing. Ventanas Las Olas is far and alone our number one recommendation for a surf trip and/or a vacation. Still smiling from all those waves.

      Made my year!

Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012

How Miles and his wonderful staff seemed to mix five days of "go-go" with "slow-slow" I'll never know! My husband and I traveled with a diverse group of 8, some dynamite "surfistas", others looking for pure R & R, ranging from the mid twenties to late forties. Falling somewhere in between all of that, I have to say my personal experience was...epic!

The service was spot on. Who doesn't love to be offered a cold Tona as you walk out of the Managua airport as your surf bag is swept before you notice and loaded onto an air-conditioned van? Who doesn't love breakfast #1 (pre-surf) and hot breakfast #2 (post-surf) waiting on the table. Who doesn't love the morning greeting of a Nicaraguan smile like Maribel's as she goes about her happy day sweeping the floor you walk on? Who doesn't love cooler bags packed with Papaya trail mix, Nutter butter cookies, and tastes just like your mom just made 'em sandwiches by future med student Mark. Who doesn't love a Toyota truck driving guide, like blue eyed Mike, who answers 21 questions in a row and translates the local Nicaraguan radio? And how about a surf guide-in-training, like little Michael, who gives you his waves wholeheartedly...really?!!! Yes, really. When you're in the hands of the staff at Ventana a Las Olas you don't have to worry about anything...they think of it before you do, whether it is water bottles to go, towels, surf wax, sunscreen, or the rash guard off their back (P.S. My husband thanks you!). Miles even fixed my surfboard ding! Can't thank you enough!!!

The property is beautiful, clean, and better than I expected. Lounging in the hammock when we first arrived was heaven and the place has a comforting feel that makes you just want to take a mid afternoon nap with the sound and feel of the gentle breeze. The grounds are colorfully landscaped and a dip in that infinity edge pool overlooking a sky of clouds and lightning and fireflies at night was a treat! I can't wait to see what the finished Yoga spot is gonna look like! Every day I would think, "The pictures just don't do this place justice." Aside from all the basics the little extras like the guitars and fake books, a variety of magazines in the room and common area, the modern flat screen TV, and daily brewed yummy coffee made me feel at home.

The quaint but spacious villa is a perfect 5-10 minute drive through canopies of trees with sounds of birds (and sometimes even monkeys) on dirt roads that lead to quaint beaches, horse stables, beautiful beach side resort pools with made to order cocktails, and local hot springs. Yet it's just as close to real village life, full of kids walking to and from school in uniforms, locals sitting on the porches of their dwellings, the "biblioteca"(library) and salt fields, and the occasional pig, dog, or steer crossing.

My favorite thing about Ventana a las Olas is that it offers the perfect mix of culture, relaxation, and adventure. You need locals to navigate the area, and the knowledge and work ethic of all of the staff are well worth it! They know the fine balance of taking care of a group while at the same time allowing them privacy. I am thankful to all of them for openly sharing with me a little about their families and life in Nicaragua. Chico (our sun up to sun down chef extraordinaire and divine creator of homemade breaded Red Snapper sticks and key lime graham cracker crust pie) went out of his way one night to introduce us to his precious five year old daughter. Roberto, the NSR photographer arranged for our group, took surf pics of us mid day from a spot that is only reachable by a rather long walk (considering the climate) and got an awesome shot of me and my husband that will be hanging on our wall at home for years to come! Miles, although not a native Nicaraguan, has a heart for the people. His work is rather a way of life, one that he enjoys thoroughly and speaks about with pride. I wonder if he knows, as I learned, that the surfers out in the water call him "abuelito" (grandfather).

"Salud!" to Miles and all the staff at Ventana de Las Olas. Thank you sincerely for a wonderful stay. I wish you and your families the very best! From beginning to end, thanks for a fantastic trip!

(My husband goes every yr and stays at Ventana a las Olas, but he finally brought the wife and 5 yr old.)I was a bit nervous about everything (country, food, etc). Turns out that was a big waste of time- The house was beyond beautiful, the food fantastic(thanks Chico!) and the guys (Mike, Mark & Chico) could not have been more accomodating with whatever we wanted to do. Our 5 yr old developed a huge crush on Mike & Mark and they indulged her every whim - she wants to know when we can go back! The club at Rancho Santana was a gorgeous place to hang out when we did not want to go surfing with the boys. The food there was wonderful as well as cheap. Everything we did from Zip lining, volcano visits, and sight seeing in Granada was done first class all the way. We will be making this an annual trip and can't wait to go back!

      Miles,
I just wanted to thank you and your team for everything. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. You really do have a wonderful staff working for you. Having someone like Mike taking us around and getting us to the right breaks during the right tides is truely a wealth of knowledge that adds so much value. Give our thanks to Chico, he really is a wonderful cook and a very helpful guy. I must also add Mark was relly good to us too, packing lunches for the boat trip, wow they were really needed! Thanks again for a great vacation!

      The Perfect Mix

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Being a Surfer it has been a challenge to mix both a family vacation and a surfing trip. I could not have imagined a better setting. My daughter, 5 years, happily played at the club house pool while I could strategically hit the waves in between playing her. My wife was happy reading in her private cabana. Chico, Mike and Mark were excellent hosts. They were able to cater to all of our needs, e.g. evening sunset on a private beach, family day site seeing Granada and zipline, to starting a band with my daughter while my wife and grabbed a little alone time.

In short, I can't say enough about the quality of accommodations, the Staff, and the waves. We are already planning our next trip back. But this time, we hope to bring down a few more families.

Great Last Minute Escape From Winter In Nicaragua

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012

My wife and I had an opportunity for a quick trip to escape from the cold in Canada to the warmth somewhere and we chose Ventana a las Olas. Nicaragua turned out to be a great combination of friendly people, colonial cities, beautiful beaches, birds and monkeys. There was some surf for me and my wife learned to surf and has the pictures to prove it. The house, food and hospitality was great and Chico, Mike and Miles took us to all the best Nicaragua spots in Granada, Rivas and the Rancho Santana area. It was definitely a relaxing trip - we hope to return soon and are recommending it to our family and friends.

      Rest, relax, repeat forever

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012

I never want to leave! Vacations are super important to me but most of the time, for one reason or another I'm kind of ready to go home when that time comes, but not the case here !!!
Although the surf looks great, there are tons of stuff to do for the non-surfers, friends and family including nature walks, horseback riding, little tours to Granada and Rivas and especially sunset massages.
I always wish I could stay longer and this trip I could! I was originally coming for 9 days then my plane got cancelled, there was a vacancy and I upped it to 14 days. Well let me tell you when the 9th day came I doubly enjoyed the next 5 days. I took advantage of every moment. Got up at 5:00am ( not my usual ) and just breathing in the air is delightful. Rest, relax, repeat is my new motto. Special thanks to Chico for making my third trip even more special than the first two.

I can not say enough good things about our recent trip to Nicaragua and, more particularly, our stay at Ventana a las Olas. No longer do you need to travel 20+ hours and stay in some shanty to score uncrowded, super fun waves in warm water. Miles, the owner/host/surf guide, has the program down to an art form and will do anything and everything possible to make sure his guests are constantly entertained and having a blast. Chico's cooking is insane, the accommodations are top-notch and the waves and weather are incredible. Every aspect of the trip will far exceed your expectations - it did mine! We are already planning our next trip back and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Relax and Surf, whichever order you choose

Left on 10/04/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Right from arrival the service was better than expected. Chico and Mike took great care of us. The accommodations were awesome, we had the best room with all the ammenities, plus upgrades we just learned about. The food was great and at our schedule of hunger.

The waves were consistent and Mike took us to wherever he felt would be best for our skill and wants (2 different aspects on one's point of view :} ) So the we got lucky and scored plenty of waves and from awesome conditions to good conditions. I didn't mind relaxing if the waves were too big or not to my liking because I was usually surfed out from an earlier session.

Other activities were simple to set up and Chico and Mike took us to horseback riding and the other facilities whenever we wanted, even at the last minute. We had private massages on our deck with a view you don't have to envision, just look up from the table occassionally. We also enjoyed wifi and football games on wide screen televisions.

We also saw the towns, local people, culture, shopped in the markets and saw the monkeys in the trees!

We were able to enjoy two restaurants, one more "local" style and the other upscale and high end in every aspect except the price, 2 lobster tails for dinner at $15.00

Driving to the surfbreaks was a bit tough, but for a true surfer, it gave us much more options than any other camp in the area. If you don't want to drive around, there is one close break on a large secluded beach.

I didn't take advantage of the fishing, but will next time.

I fully recommend Ventanas for the "whole" package because you just need to sit back and enjoy or get up and surf.

      Best Trip Ever

Left on 08/23/2011 for a stay in August 2011

My vacation at Ventana a las Olas was the best trip I have ever been on. The trip started out with the unthinkable--airline lost my surf bag! Thankfully owner/guide Miles (immediately) assured me upon my pick-up from the airport that I could choose a board from his quiver and if he didn't have what I was looking for he would get it. Was probably for the best, there was a big swell and he had the perfect board for the condition! I didn't think about the boards again. Miles' right-hand man Chico got them to me by the next morning. Incredible. The surf in Nica is legit. You can see a handful of breaks from the house. Miles and Mike know what breaks are working based on tides, swell, wind etc. You will get great waves. Miles gave me a quick tutorial at each spot on where the reefs were, where to line-up and any other useful info to maximize my wave-count, safety and fun. He gave my beginner surfer girlfriend tons of lessons and got her so stoked on surfing (thanks Miles!). I've been to Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, Peru, etc. for surf--trust me, Nica has great waves. The scenery is stunning. I can't tell you how many times my girlfriend and I looked at each other and said "wow." Sunsets, coastline, jungle, mountains, all visible from every spot in the house, even your bed. We couldn't believe that Ventana a las Olas was even more breathtaking in person than in the photos! The accommodations were incredible. We were so comfortable. Ocean views from everywhere, even the pool. Beautiful hand-crafted wood furniture. Massages. Fans and a/C if you get warm. Every meal was deluxe. Every detail was attended to. Miles and my girlfriend played duets on guitar. You feel more like a guest in a home more than anything. The entire staff is awesome. Thank you to Miles, Mike, Maribel, Chico and Yolanda for making us feel like family. Look out for Chico in the water if its 3x overhead, he is basically the Nicaraguan Laird. A great vacation for romance, the family or even the boys. A+

My wife & I wanted to take a trip someplace different to relax. Even though we are not surfers, we felt we could have a good time in Nicaragua at Ventana a las Olas in Rancho Santana. But, we ended up having a fabulous time with lots of entertainment to keep us busy.
Thanks for the great time at Ventana a las Olas- the staff was super nice- Michael, Marabell and abe. A special shout out to Chico-a great chef, translator, tour guide and proud ambassador of the Nicaraguan culture.
The food was excellent- distinctive but not too exotic. The fresh fruit was a real standout- I never knew that plantains were actually good to eat.
The local people were warm, friendly , quick to smile and made language differences unimportant.
Some of the highlights of our trip; looking into a live volcano, horseback riding along the beach and into the local village ,1/2 day sailing cruise , beautiful beaches with unique stones, driftwood, shells and sand dollars to collect and an abundance of wildlife to observe.
We still found time to sit back at the house to relax and enjoy the view of hills, valleys, beaches, occasional exotic birds flying by, sunsets transcending into stary nights and the local fishing boats.
The vacation lasted all the way to the airport. After leaving the house we stopped at a huge market to acquire souvenirs made by locals. We decided to skip the scheduled zip line and instead took the 365 island private boat tour of Lake Managua. We were thoroughly impressed by the tour. It included fantastic island estates, natural wildlife, locals fishing & commuting by boat and an island full of monkeys. And the knowledge that fresh water sharks and swordfish were lurking underneath us. Only in Nicaragua does this adaptation exist.
Supposedly this is a destination for surfers but my wife and I couldnt of had a better vacation and we are not surfers. We strongly recommend this haven for anyone- surfers or not !!!.

If anyone is looking for an all inclusive surf vacation, Ventana a las Olas is the place for you. Everything is covered!!! After an easy flight from the East Coast, a driver greets you at the airport and the relaxation begins. Ventana a las Olas has everything , incredible private rooms all with unbelievable views, an infinity pool, a comfortable lounge area, great meals, snacks and appetizers. The meals were fantastic with very generous portions and always second helpings, (very important for a surfer who hasn't been 150lbs since the fifth grade). Ice cold "Tona's” and plenty of "Flur de Cana”. The surf was unbelievable, off shore winds and 10+ breaks to satisfy any surfer's palette. The staff was wonderful and eager to make sure everything was just perfect. All you have to do is show up and enjoy!!! I happily give it 5 stars for an inexpensive, fun, no brainer trip. Gracias Mile'!! Gracias Chico!! See you soon!!!

Rancho Santana Nicaragua is amazing and we will be back asap!

Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in November 2009

In the fall of 2009 myself and a few surfing buddies needed a break from the grind and chose to stay with Miles at Ventana a Las Olas in Rancho Santana Nicaragua. We had been told what a nice place it was and had seen pictures but were totally blown away when we arrived. The house itself and the experience of staying there was beyond words. The food was great, the staff very friendly, and the Randho Santana subdivision is a very nice and very safe community. Miles and his staff wined us, dined us, got us to the surf, kept the jokes coming, and the week went off without a hitch. It just seemed like everytime you started to think of something you might need or like to do, it would just happen. I highly recommend Ventana a Las Olas / Rancho Santana to anyone who likes surfing quality waves in warm water, is just looking for some quality down time, or possibly looking for a destination for a yoga retreat.
Another nice thing about the area is that the surfers that live there seemed genuinely glad to meet you, were friendly and helpful, and we were not nervous about paddling out at the local breaks.
We were a bit unfortunate with the surf because a tropical depression formed in the Gulf of Mexico and the normal (300 days a year) offshore winds died and we experience glassy or light onshore conditions for several days. But even though it may not have been classic for a few days we could watch the conditions from the house, run down to Santana's or Colorado's when the wind would die, and find ourselves scoring fun surf and a nice barrell here and there.
I have done a lot of traveling, surfed all over the world, and am calling Ventana a Las Olas a "must see" / "must do" for everyone who likes to travel.

We couldn't of asked for a nicer place to go. Miles, Chico, and the entire team there made us feel like part of their family. It seemed like anything we wanted or requested would magically appear.
Neither of us are surfers but we had the time of our lives regardless. We walked, road horses and collected shells, fossils, rocks and starfishes on the gorgeous beaches. We saw monkeys galore, exotic birds, iguanas and much more wildlife. We saw a volcano, we zip-lined, went to the oldest city in Central america and we even went to the Nicaraguan version of a rodeo/bullfight .Best of all, Miles took us to Yolanda's for a surprise birthday celebration with cake and ice cream for everyone--just awesome and all this was included as part of our package!

+-5 hours from lax. Land in Managua; had boards in 20 minutes. All boards on-time and safe. Cleared customs in 5 minutes. Pick-Up: ride was at the front door of the airport waiting. He had a sign with our names on it and we loaded boards 2 minutes later. Van was clean, roomy and was ready. Drive to the House: The drive was about 2 hours or so. All paved roads except for last few miles. Local police never stopped us for the Central america shake-down. But driver was prepared to throw a twenty at the cops.
House/Villa: 8 BRs. All w/private bath and individual a/C. Infinity pool rocks. Surf for hours; hit the pool and keep your eye on the conditions for the next session. Gourmet kitchen. Flatscreen TV w/satellite. Watch NFL in Nicaragua! Service: Miles knows all waves (see below), has everything you need, and is a renaissance man. Chico: the guy is awesome. He cooks all meals and takes pride in presentation. Loves practicing English. All fresh food; well-prepared. Never open your wallet until you hit Yolanda's for the feast. Endless Tona (local beer) and rum. 6 thirsty surfers every night and couldn't kill beer supply.
Surf: got a "bad" week. It was still good. About head high when we got there. By the 3rd morning it was a few feet overhead. Backed down the rest of the trip. Scored a ton of really fun and empty waves. We had 3 sessions completely by ourselves. Miles knows every wave there and will take you to what you want to surf. From a heavy slab to firing beachbreak (think Black's) and solid thick reef setups. Some tame waves for kids and beginners too. Plenty of other stuff to do, tourism, etc. Fellas... you can go horseback riding with your girl down the beach. What do you think happens after that? Exactly.
Absolutely coming back. Definitely haul my wife down there. All guys, all girls, kids, or mix it up. We got CDs with over 1,400 pictures (surf and nature pics). Thanks to Miles, Chico, Lucha Libre, Yolanda and the whole crew.

Just wanted to take a moment to write you, and let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Ventana a las Olas, Rancho Santana, Nicaragua. Chico and Mike are a perfectly matched pair that made every effort to make sure our stay exceeded all expectations.

Chico's friendly and fun demeanor, along with his home style comfort food, made us feel at home in a foreign land. He kept beautiful house flowing at a consistent, enjoyable pace, all the while with a warm friendly smile.

Mike's laid back and knowledgeable style took away any uneasiness we might have felt about surfing new and challenging breaks in the Popoyo Surf Zone. Mike made every effort to find the best waves and the most beautiful beaches for us to enjoy. He did it all while imparting tons of information about the local people and culture making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

We all still like to surf the best waves we can and Miles and the staff did their best to put us on good waves daily. We got to surf as much as we wanted sometimes getting 3 good sessions in a day. The food was great, plenty of it and the beer was always cold. If you wanted a side trip to Rivas or Granada the staff was there to help with that also. I would highly recommend staying here and we will all surely be back to stay again in the future.
