Romantic & charming, this beautiful Bed & Breakfast is a perfect hideaway retreat for writers, lovers, good friends,anyone wanting the perfect spot to unwind and get away from it all. The Chianti Life B&B;, offering Private Yoga, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, Private Massages-all body work, including deep tissue-Swedish, Shiatsu, Rheiki Energy and Crystal healing, Acupuncture and Meditation sessions. Chianti Life opened 'Cibo Vero!-Dining-on-the-Bridge' in July to rave reviews, offering elegant 5-course private gourmet dinners for 2-4 in either Italian or French Country. All food is organic and handmade, including the handmade ricotta, brea...ds, pastas, etc.... by Chianti Life owner, Ciel, who is a gourmet chef well versed in both French & Italian cuisine. A stay at the Chianti Life includes a full gourmet breakfast each morning with Ciel's handmade breads and pastries, our fresh hen eggs, the Chianti homemade granola, steel cut oats, French Press coffee, fresh fruits of the season, and more...served ...weather permitting...on the decks under a canopy of oaks in the woodlands, surrounded by private meditation areas, rose gardens, woodland walkways, and beautiful dining bridges that span a bubbling spring-fed creek. There are multiple hidden areas to sit, write, picnic, read, meditate, or simple enjoy a peaceful vacation away from the city. Within walking distance from the Topanga State Park, this lovely cottage location offers miles of mountain-biking & hiking trails, and is a two minute drive to local restaurants, charming bistros, boutique shopping, country general stores, and our local farmer's market held every Friday morning. A short drive will take you to the local Santa Monica or Malibu beaches.

The enchanting cottage is graciously decorated in a European-living atmosphere and includes beautiful linens, a step-down spacious master bedroom set high over the spring-fed creek with gorgeous woodland views, a master bath with claw-foot tub, large mirrors & cozy soft bathrobes, living room/sitting area, small amenities kitchen and French doors that lead to a private outdoor breakfast area, and on to expansive decking under the oaks. Try your hand at a game of chess, take a walk through the woods to one of the many meditation areas, or have a picnic on one of the bridges that span the running creek.

Our beautiful B&B;/Retreat, offering private massages, Reki Energy Healing, Yoga classes, Meditation sessions, Acupuncture, and private dining for 2-4, is located ten minutes from the ocean between Malibu and Santa Monica in gorgeous Southern California. We are in a canyon once inhabited by the Native American indigenous Tongva tribe that later became a weekend getaway in the 1920’s for Hollywood stars with many cottages built for that purpose. Over the years our canyon has attracted many famous artists, actors, and musicians such as Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Etta James, the Beach Boys, Will Geer, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Della Reese and Burl Ives, to name a few.
We have the 3rd largest watershed entering the Santa Monica Bay, which is a spawning ground for steelhead trout. We have our own outdoor Shakespeare theater with seats built into the canyon walls and plays performed under the stars. Request a picnic and we’ll pack one for you; Price upon request.

Our B&B; is within a 3-5 minute walk to one of the largest open space preserves surrounded by a city in the world with streams, waterfall, and cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a view of the mountains, offering miles of bike and hiking trails, or a 2 minute drive to adorable boutiques, bistros and our own farmer’s market held every Friday. The two cottages are surrounded by thirty-five old California oaks, several fruit trees, 85 old fashioned roses, pathways, walkways and foot bridges, intermingled with a lovely spring-fed creek that runs through the middle of the property. We have a beautiful large dining bridge complete with a fireplace stocked with wood, and willow seating with pillows and blankets to curl up in under the stars. We offer private dinners to 2-6 on the bridge; price upon request; weekends only, and reservations must be made in advance. All food is organic and freshly made on the premises, including the breads and pastries at breakfast. The private dinners offer a choice of French or Italian cuisine with 4-6 courses for the French and 4-8 courses for the Italian. Breakfast is served free of charge on the private deck outside the master suite.
We offer private Yoga classes and/or private body work/massages on the expansive and private decking that surrounds this unique retreat. Please request at time of booking; price upon request.


We are a short 15 minute drive to Malibu & Santa Monica and 30 minutes to Beverly Hills, offering extraordinary beaches and water sports, or exclusive dining and shopping. A 1 ½ hour drive south to Orange county (depending on traffic) will take you to Disneyland, 40 minutes to Knott’s Berry Farm, or 30 minutes to Universal Studios in Universal City.
