Description from the owner
Founded in 1832 by Brothers-in-law William Gooderham and James Worts, the Gooderham and Worts Distillery eventually became the largest distillery in the British empire. Set on 13 acres in downtown Toronto, the forty plus buildings constitute the largest and best preserved collection of Victorian Industrial Architecture in North America. The Distillery District is a national historic site.
In just the past few years, The Distillery District has become one of the most romantic and enjoyable destinations in the City. The Distillery District is Toronto's first pedestrian only village and the city's only historic district. From the brick li...Read more

Hamilton, ONGreat condo in great location
Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in August 2011
Eric did a fantastic job of keeping in touch with me the whole way through. He was polite and courteous and addressed all of my concerns. The location of the condo is great, close to fun sites in the Distillery District as well as convenient grocery, beer store, and just a short cab ride away from downtown attractions. Having a parking spot was a nice bonus since we drove there from out of town. The condo itself is clean and spacious in main area, but is more of a loft so although there are dividers, I would not recommend it if you want some privacy. The downstairs bathroom is the size of an airplane bathroom, but having a second toilet was a blessing with 6 people staying in one condo. Anyway, there is an excellent fitness center on the same floor with a locker room with nice showers and a sauna, which is what some of the guys used happily. The beds are also hard and fairly uncomfortable but nothing you can't make do with for a weekend, besides, all the other nice features of the place (such as the large sunny balcony) make up for it. The best part of the entire condo itself is the outdoor pool and patio area. Great panoramic view of the city with a lot of young good-looking professionals just hanging out. We Bbq'd, made new friends, and had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Great apartment with fab, big outdoor terrace. Pool, hot tub, BBQ area and gym on same level. Lovely location, view of CN tower from pool terrace, nice bars just downstairs, walking distance to mall and other bars and restaurants. Mr Pong was very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time.

we went to Toronto specifically for the red sox games June 10th week-end. The stadium is exactly a 40 minute walk from the condo or a $15 taxi ride. The a/c does not flow up to the bedrooms. The mattresses are so worn you can feel the coils and they make noises when you turnover. The sheets were stained and worn. The bathroom on the first floor is the size of a closet, you can't even turn in the shower stall or lift your arms. Not worth the asking rate.

Sorry for the long walk! However, we did not advertise we were next to the baseball stadium. I just did a check on Google and we are 1.75 miles away from it - this walk is an enjoyable one as you are going thru the heart of the city, the financial district and a nice beautiful park with lots of trees on the side! Also, we are right in the tourist and historical area with many gourmet restaurants, shops and galleries right in the same location :) The taxi rate could be cheaper during non-rush hours but we are right in the downtown area and traffic can be heavy at times. We do have 2 washrooms. The other one is a full size washroom with bath tub and shower also - if you need more space to shower, please go to the bigger one instead :) The thermostat controls the temperature and if you set at the right temperature, the a/c will start :) Bed-sheets are always fresh and clean before new guests come. If you make it really dirty, we have extra ones in the unit, free ensuite washer, dryer and even free detergent for your laundry use. We won't come to clean anything again until our guests leave the property. Thanks for staying with us and hope to see you again!

Me and my wife had an Excellent 2 week stay at this condo. Eric was great, he greeted us at our convenience, gave us a tour, and checked us in quickly. The stay was comfortable, the location is close to everything downtown, and the distillery district was fantastic. We woke up every day and had amazing coffee, chocolates, and breakfast by simply walking outside. The galleries were interesting for a day, and the couple of world class restaurants at our doorstep were absolutely wonderful. There is a small market in the building, and grocery stores mins away. We had a parking spot in the building and that was extremely valuable. We did not get to enjoy the pool due to weather, but it was on the same floor as the condo. My only negative is the lack of internet, but we were able to use wifi at some of the cafes at our doorstep. Eric was easy to reach if we had an issue, and he made checkout extremely easy. Pricing was fair and he was willing to work with my difficult schedule. He quickly refunded my deposit after checkout and was pleasant to deal with. The Condo is two floors, has a washer and dryer, and is on the sixth floor. I would certainly recommend a stay there and if you are considering this versus a hotel, definitely do the condo. If you are new to Toronto, check out Cafe Furbo in the distillery district. The owner made some excellent recommendations, from night clubs to sushi restaurants and was engaging and knowledgeable.

This is an amazing apartment with great amenities. We stayed here for 4 nights and found the location to be very central to downtown. The distillery district is a really nice area with cafes, galleries restaurants etc all very centrally located. The apartment itself is very big and spotless and has every possible appliance you would ever need. Also had great communication with the manager from the moment I booked it and he really ensured that there would be someone there to meet us and show us around and he made check out very easy. Overall a great place to stay!!

Sitting on the edge of the art-filled Distillery District, this condo has many of the perks of a hotel: excellent location and great security, but with the added benefits of home. The owner obviously values customer service and gave us a guided tour of the condo, parking, and facilities.
Our stay was fantastic. There is always something to do in Toronto: art galleries, festivals, music, beaches, concerts, great food, shopping, museums, hiking etc.. On the rare occasion that we were too tired to explore the city, we relaxed on the large private deck and admired the views of the hustle and bustle of the city with Lake Ontario in the distance. We were even able to watch part of the Parade of Tall Ships from the comfort of the condo. Far and away the crown jewel of this place is the pool and hot tub down the hall with the stunning city view (especially at night). There is also a game room downstairs with ping-pong and a pool table.
The only down side is there was no wi-fi or cable in the unit. However the t.v. does get local channels and there is an internet cafe right next door.
We plan to return to Toronto in the next few years to do everything we couldn't squeeze into this visit and we would definitely stay here again! -

Beautiful! This place is close to everything. It even has its own very upscale grocery store (Fresh and Wild) in the building. Theatres, Restaurants, Shops, Coffee Shops. Galleries and so much more are literarily steps from the condo.....just want to stay there for more time!
