Great place to call your home for an extended stay in Toronto

Left on 02/26/2013 for a stay in February 2013

I rented the the Downtown Townhouse from Jerome for a month. I had four colleagues staying with me who flew in from various cities, and we made the Townhouse our residence and home office for the entire stay.

Things could not have gone smoother and the Townhouse exceeded our expectations in every way. Jerome was a great host and very accommodating - he even made sure the package on the internet service was upgraded to the fastest you could get prior to our arrival (we needed *fast* internet for our work, and we got it).

The Townhouse is exactly as it shows in the photos. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen / dining / living room areas. The decor was clean and stylish. It was a pleasant environment to live, work and hangout in. The beds were comfortable, and it was a quiet place at night. Everybody slept extremely well.

The location was superb for us. A Tim Hortons and grocery store are literally a 30 second walk away. We found some great restaurants nearby too - highly recommend House on Parliament, which we pretty much hit up every night. We stayed here in February -- one of Toronto's coldest/snowiest months -- but were still able to get by with no need of a rental car. We could walk down to Eaton Centre in 18 minutes, and when we'd just call a cab for when we needed to go further (cabs would arrive quick). If you're a swimmer, there's an excellent pool just a couple blocks away.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anybody staying in Toronto for any period of time. I'm sure it works great for families, but if you have a group coming in working together (tradeshows, filming movies in the city, etc.), it's absolutely perfect for that too.

Bottom line, I'll be renting this place off of Jerome again!

Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012

This was a really nice place with all the amenities that we needed. We didn't arrive until midnight, but the owners still met us. Easy to catch a cab from Parliment St. or you can walk to pretty much anywhere from there if the weather is good. Plenty of room and the place is clean and modern. Great place to stay if you are visiting Toronto.

Fantastic rental unit for short term visitors!

Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in October 2012

My family visited Toronto for my wedding last November and I put them in the rental home. All family members were extremely happy with the unit, which provided a fantastic value proposition versus having to stay in a hotel room, as it was able to house 8 family members for the price of a decent hotel room in the city. The house had modern furnishings, was very clean, and in the heart of city, just steps away from the downtown core. I would highly recommend the rental unit for any large group of visitors coming to Toronto.

      Best investment of our trip

Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in October 2012

We rented this townhouse to be our home away from home as our daughter was getting married down town Toronto. I was one of the best things we did. We were greeted on time, the town house was very clean, had more than adequate provisions (such as bedding, towels, even staples in the fridge and cupboards). It was spacious enough to accommodate the bride and bridesmaids the night before the wedding and a gift opening the day after. Parking was never a problem for guests and we had a garage. Everyone was trilled with our place especially us.

Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Jerome responded quickly from the time we made a request for this townhouse. He was flexible for the check-in time and met us accordingly. He gave us a tour of the house and his only request was to leave your shoes at the door. This was very reasonable to keep any house tidy and clean! This was my first experience renting a house and it was just like home...there were six of us and it was plenty comfortable. We were close to shopping and restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with previous pantry items for our use. We left items, too, for his collection. My only suggestion is that more lighting would be nice in the living area.(I light lots of light)but that's not a deal breaker. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in Toronto.

The Townhouse was exactly as advertised and suited my family perfectly. It is very conveniently situated with respect to restaurants, markets, theatres, athletic arenas, CN Tower, bus and boat tours, sightseeing, etc... The Townhouse was very clean, user-friendly, and spacious as there were ample closets and drawers to fully unpack our luggage during our stay. Perfect! host made us feel exceptionally welcomed, and was very pleasant and flexible as he accommodated our times of arrival and departure. As one who appreciates communication, organization and location, this transaction and interaction with Jerome and The Townhouse could not have been better!

Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We travelled to toronto as a group of five friends, looking for a house rather than separate hotel rooms. We were not disappointed with our choice of accomodation. The townhouse had everything we needed, and was close to supermarket, coffee shops, deli's and eating places,a 10 minute walk to Dundas Square, with frequent tram service if needed. Taxis were abundant with good rates. The distillery district is within walking distance and we spent a lovely afternoon there. The weather was good and we were able to make use of the outdoor patio, and the surrounding area is surpisingly quiet for a city!
We had a great holiday and could not find fault with the townhouse. Thanks Jerome and Kiran, and best wishes for your impending arrival.

Great accommodation for a Family or Group in a Very Convenient L

Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We stayed at the Toronto townhouse for 4 nights for a family get together and could not have found anything better to suit our group of 7. Kiran greeted us upon arrival at our convenience and supplied the extra bedding that we requested right away. All of the rooms were well supplied and we were even able to cook and serve a family turkey dinner for 9. The townhouse is located within walking distance of many of the downtown attractions and shopping. The streetcar is only a block away and there are several grocery stores and cafes close by. This townhouse provides an excellent opportunity for a family to enjoy the convenience of a home away from home when in Toronto.

It's not often that one can get the chance to be away from home yet have a home to go to. Staying here recently allowed us to have comforts just like home but with enough difference to know you were travelling. With shops, transport and a varied supply of restaurants close by all ones real needs are catered for. Close to the shopping distrcts of Downtown but not too close along with everything one really needs to have as a base to travcl from, the Townhouse of Jerome and Karins was everything we needed and then some. Highlight was the good mix of social groups all living among each other - genuine feel to everything Toronto. See you same time next year if we can get there.

Thanks for the great review! I just wanted to point out that public transportation costs quite a bit more in Toronto unfortunately. The adult cash fare is $3, and when buying tokens it comes out to $2.60 per token. You can find further informatio regarding fares and routes/maps on the Toronto Transit Commission website, http://www.ttc.ca/

This is the first time for me and two of my friend in Toronto, and when we decide to be together in same place we preferred this townhouse for some reason:
      1- It contains 3 bedrooms.
2- There is a big kitchen and it has all cooking the staff.
3- There is a high speed internet.
4- The location is near to Dundas Square from 10 min to 15 min by walk.

Also it is very cleaned and we like the deal with owner of the townhouse Jerome, he is very kindly.

      Fabulous downtown Toronto living experience

Left on 10/31/2011 for a stay in October 2011

This was the first time that we had booked accommodation privately using the internet and we were doing so from the other side of the world. I am pleased to say that the owners were magnificent in helping us with information and facilitating the booking. This made it much easier for first timers.

The apartment was everything that was advertised. It is a fantastic apartment and accommodated our whole family really well. The facilities are outstanding and it is beautifully decorated and furnished. All the modern conveniences of home were there. The kitchen was great and fully equipped so we could cook for ourselves. And we had family over for dinner one night. Cable TV was great for the children. But do note that the apartment is on three levels and you need to be able to walk up the stairs so wouldn't be good for anyone in a wheelchair.

The location is great and within walking distance of the Eaton Centre for those of you who like shopping. There are good trams and trains within close proximity which will take you all over the city. We walked down to the lake and the markets. We had a rental car and the apartment has a garage so that was good. There is also a BBQ and an outdoor area for al fresco meals. There is a Fresco supermarket nearby and a Tim Horton's plus many take out and eat in food businesses within walking distance. So if you don't want to cook then you don't have too.

We found the area very quiet and safe although it is located in a suburb of Toronto that is clearly experiencing a lot of redevelopment and refurbishment. The apartment has double glazing so no noise got in. The apartment was warm and cosy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would absolutely come back and stay again. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a most enjoyable stay in this apartment and would recommend it to other families travelling with teenagers and children. It all worked out really well and we had an excellent holiday.

Friendly & helpful service ... clean & comfortable house

Left on 10/19/2011 for a stay in October 2011

My husband and I stayed at the townhouse with our young babies. It was the perfect home base for our trip to Toronto -centrally located and very well equipped. Jerome and Kiran were very considerate and helpful hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed - we couldn't have asked for better service.

The house has everything needed for a comfortable stay - the kitchen was well equipped and the laundry, garage, BBQ etc were all helpful. The central location makes it easy to get around Toronto - and with small kids we made good use of the nearby Riverdale Farm. Definitely recommend this rental. If you do have small children, we took advice from a previous renter and got some baby equipment (travel cots, high chairs, stair gates & toys) from Baby Getaway who were fantastic.

We loved everything. Upon arrival we were unsure of the area. But after exploring and heading in various directions, we found it to be great. Donuts and grocery around the corner, although in Canada, stores are closed on Labor Day! Great little restaurants, and the children's petting zoo only a 15 minute walk. The condo was perfect for all of us, open plan so we were all together. Only suggestion, have a portable gate available for the top of the stairs in case renters have small children.

We had a great time at the townhouse. The house is equiped with all you need after a long day discovering Toronto and its neighbourhood. Washing mashine and dryer were also very helpful for a longer stay or round trip. The house has a small but nice garden which can be ideally used for a BBQ. House has plenty of space. We were there with a group of seven which was very good. The fotos in the internet really show the high quality of the townhouse.
Only small comment on a negative side is that there are some house construction works next to the house that create some noise in particular in the morning. But that should be history in a couple of weeks.

      Girls Getaway in Toronto

Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Traveled with four friends. We wanted a location that would allow access to downtown by walking...since we took the Megabus to Toronto and did not have access to a car. The townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from downtown center. This allowed us to get needed exercise. The townhouse is very nice, decorated in a modern chic style. There was plenty of room for all with the four bedrooms. The area is very diverse and located in the Cabbagetown section of the city. Jerome and Karin were easy to work with and very accomodating. Taxicabs were readily available when we did not want to walk. I would recommend this for location for families as well as couples...singles.

      Memorable Trip!!!

This was by far the best vacation rental my friends and I have ever rented. The owners were so friendly and provided everyone with excellent service. They made sure we had everything we needed through out our entire stay.

The townhouse itself was incredible. The townhouse was spacious and fully furnished. We did not have to anything but buy food and drinks. All of the rooms were a good size so we did not have to worry about storing our bags and suitcases. The location is great as well.

I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking to vacation in Toronto. You will have excellent rates, great service and lots of memorable moments!

Awesome Place for a Group of Friends

Left on 07/13/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Five friends and I stayed at this townhouse during our visit to Toronto, and enjoyed it very much.

The location is very convenient, with easy access to public transit and cabs to major attractions of the city. There are a few supermarkets and nice restaurants within walking distance. We especially loved House on Parliament located at 454 Parliament St. Of course, Liquor Control Board of Ontario (Lcbo), the government owned and operated liquid store at 512 Parliament St. also contributed to the enjoyment of our vacation.

The townhouse itself is newly built (not on Googel Maps yet), has everything we expected from a vacation home. There are four separate rooms with beds that can easily fit eight adults. A kitchen equipped well enough for us to make breakfast everyday and dinner for one night.

The owner of the townhouse is very attentive. When there was some problems with the aC on the first night when we arrived, they came over at the night to deliver a fan, sent over a temporary aC unit next day (since it was Canada Day, no technician was working), and hired someone to fix the aC as soon as they could.

Overall, we enjoyed very much of our stay at the place, and think it is much better option than stay at separate rooms in a hotel, so we will be able to spend quality time with friends!

Thank you so much for our lovely stay at your townhouse. The location was perfect. A good walk to the Eaton Centre but on a nice day, this was no problem. The townhouse had everything we needed and we enjoyed the fact that you met us on the first day to show us around. Thank you!
      We will certainly return.

      Vacation in Toronto

Left on 06/14/2011 for a stay in May 2011

This location is centrally located close to a lot of tourist locations. During our 8 day stay we were within miles of Toronto Blue Jays, Castle Loma, Museums, etc. We drove to Niagra Falls twice during our stay which was about an hour +.
The condo had all the needed accessories, a store and bank within a block. The bed was also firm which provided good sleep. Also, there is a fruit & vegetable stand about 150 yards from the front door just beyond a building. As far as our experience with the rentor, he was a very nice young man. He was very receptive to suggestions on making he stay more comfortable by providing a book of locations, etc. Also, you will get good exercise on the steps in the condo. At the end of the day, we didn't mind cause it provided us with a good night sleep after long walks and stairs. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Everything you need but a few small drawbacks

Left on 05/24/2011 for a stay in May 2011

It was nice to have a house in downtown Toronto and you really are downtown here. Although you should know that this is one of the less desirable neighbourhoods in the city. The neighbourhood is in the middle of a major rejuvenization effort so most of the immediate area around the house is a construction site. Another thing to keep in mind is there is no yard.

On the up side the owner is very nice and the house is new and very well equipped. They really make an effort to make sure everything is there.

I mentioned I think cleaning should be available more than once a week and they said they would look into that.

Thank you for the feedback. The area is under-going a revitalization effort that will make it one of downtown Toronto's most desirable neighbourhoods. In the meantime, the conveniences of having a grocery store and public transportation just around the corner and easy access to the highway, as well as the downtown location, far outweigh the drawbacks. Most of the construction around the townhouse is expected to completed in the coming months. I'm happy to report the rear laneway has been paved and the landscaping at the front & rear of the townhouse has now been completed.

Jerome's townhouse was great! A group of friends and I were headed to Toronto for the weekend and this was a much better option than several hotel rooms. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, as well as being close to everything! Would definitely stay here again if we go back. Thanks again Jerome!

      Exactly what we wanted

Left on 04/29/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We stayed for nearly a month at Jerome & Kiran's townhouse. It had all the space & accessories we could possibly need. Last time in Toronto we stayed at apartments on Bay (part of the Sutton Hote)l & I swore never to return to the place. This time we took a chance on a property rental & was Sooo happy that we did. It was a home away from home & had by far the best amount of household items that you could need. Jerome and Kiran have decked out their townhouse so well that you won't run out of cutlery before you need to wash & you'll have all the towels you need. The bedrooms are spacious, clean & the house is very nicely decorated. It also got the thumbs up because it is nice & new. We had a Dodge Caravan & managed to just fit it in the garage, so make sure you have a car smaller or at least no larger. It is located nice & close to the supermarket & Tim Horton's. If you are after a larger style supermarket with more selection & a bakery, there's a big Loblaws down Parliament & around to the right, closer to the bay- 5 min drive. If visiting from oversea,s like we were, don't overlook checking out The Distillery, great arrangement of eclectic stores & restaurants. Initially we were a bit dubious about the area, but there is a lot of new developments happening and it's a mix of ethnicities and cultures amongst the old & new. Even though there are quite a lot of steep narrow stairs in the townhouse we rented our baby equipment, cot, toys & safety gates from www.babygetaway.com & they delivered it all straight to the townhouse. We then felt safe with our 14 mth old daughter playing in the living room, knowing she couldn't fall down any stairs. Having 2 bathrooms upstairs & a wash room off from the kitchen & living room was very helpful too. The best thing was the quick access to the expressway so that you can travel anywhere with ease if you have a car. Much harder if closer to the city. If we are back in Toronto, we'll definitely stay again.

      Terrific Toronto

Left on 04/28/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Our first trip to Toronto was made more wonderful with our stay at this townhouse. My adult daughter was able to do her online work for school and my teenage son could watch TV or use his computer without disturbing her. We walked to a wonderful nearby Pub for our first night's dinner. I cooked dinner a couple of nights and made extensive breakfasts in the very well equipped kitchen. We were very thankful that the market was only a short walk from the townhouse. We fell in love with Tim Horton's, especially the maple donuts:) A walk to the Distillery was a good way to spend a late afternoon and grab an early dinner. We didn't use the transportation that was close by, but drove into downtown with no problems. With all we did, we left alot undone, maybe a return trip will be necessary! If we do, we'd stay here again.

We stayed at Jerome's 4bd townhouse for 4 days last week and was very impressed. The place is brand new, very comfortable, had all the amenities you could ever need. They have a detached garage which is great if you have a car. It is very close to downtown, walking distance to some coffee and food spots. The hosts where very accommodating on check in and easy going. I highly recommend this spot if you are heading to Toronto!
