What Past Guests Are Saying
We loved the flat sooo much we have booked to go back again this year. Our teenage daughter had space to be on her own when she wanted. The balcony is massive and we spent many an evening playing cards and enjoying a drink. Main bedroom is large bright and airy. Stunning views over Torbay. You can see Paignton and the pier. Short walk to all the amenities. Only one thing I would ask for please - WiFi.
Rex enjoyed the secure parking :)
This is the second wonderful apartment in Torquay we've bookd through Blue Chip Holidays.
B5 Masts is total luxury. The apartment is very modern with high end fittings throughout. We loved the wooden floors and granite kitchen surfaces, and the fact that everything you'd ever need and more is there. The master bedroom has a luxury en suite shower room and the family bathroom is also absolutely luxurious. There's a massive balcony with a table and chairs for four peopel and the views from all windows to the sea are breath-taking. The apartment we stayed at last year was lovely but this trumped it. The location is excellent too, as it's situated near the harbour and shopping centre. You'd never really need to use your car unless you want to travel around the area, as there are tons of very good restaurants and bars nearby. The seafront can be reached via the road at the back of the apartment block or through the well manicured gardens at the front. Be aware though that there are lots of steps, so not so good if you have mobility issues. There's a safe gated underground car park with parking for one car, and you can also park on the street for free if necessary. If you are a smoker don't book this place; it's totally non-smoking throughout including the balcony (thankfully), so taking your own ash tray as suggested by a previous reviewer is not a good idea. Little bit of footfall from the apartment above but nothing major and the double bed seemed to have a hard matress on one side and a soft one on the other, a minor detail but if you have back problems this could be an issure . We had a marvellous week here, would recommend to friends and family and will be going back. We'd also recommend eating at the Elephant Restaurant, pricey but very good. A good and reasonably priced meal can be had the Beefeater attached to the Premier Inn on the sea front; excellent customer service there.
Wonderful views - great apartment
We used this apartment last year and still could not get over the views when we entered it again this year. The apartment has everything needed for four people to stay and is clean and comfortable. There are picture windows in each room and there is alaways something to look at.

Stains on bedding are not acceptable!
Red stains on the flat sheet (not blood according to the management company) of the bed in the main bedroom. Large red stains on the duvet, found after removing the cover at the end of our stay. We contacted Blue Chip Holidays about this but got no satisfaction. Our advice check the bedding on arrival and get on the phone to the management company if its still stained.
Pricey, but nicey
Its not cheap, but it is an exceptionally nice service apartment (all mod cons including quality stereo, tv, dvd, etc) with a lovely spacious terrace overlooking the bay (beautiful view, and sunny all day long)
I booked this apartment as I needed to be in the Torquay area for a mini-conference, wanted somewhere nice where I could have a small meeting (eg not a hotel room), wanted easy parking (underground car park) and I'm a smoker (you can smoke on the terrace which is accessible from both the sitting room and the master bedroom - note: you need to take your own ashtray)
I have a minor disability, so the underground parking and lift (elevator for our us friends!) were a boon (many apartments in Torquay have no nearby parking, and therefore getting luggage in and out of the flat can be a painful trial). There are a variety of chairs/sofa so all back-comfort-levels are catered for. The bed is medium firm and I had a lovely nights sleep.
The apartment was not noisy
The Property Mgr was very nice and accommodating, and allowed a late check-out as they didn't have another client booked-in for the following day
Only negative point is that the lights in the main bathroom are a little dim for shaving
Note: though it is apartment B5, its actually on the 4th floor (this confused me at first...)
