My wife, infant daughter and I stayed in this great new 2BR place for three nights and it was perfect for a relaxing break. Both bedrooms are reasonably generously proportioned - plenty of room for port-a-cot etc. While Torquay itself is quite bustling, the property itself is located in quiet pocket. Bring tennis racquets and balls so you can use the free tennis court - we forgot. It's also part of a fantastic golf course for those who like having a hit. The paperwork to book this place was reasonably minimal and the key collection process was easy which was nice; I've stayed at places where you need to email copies of your licence and it can be a huge hassle. I'd hugely recommend this place to others.

The place was very nicely set up. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The location was perfect.
Only improvement would be the kitchen was not verry well equipped and the cupboards were not clean.Response from Retreats Victoria - 01/26/2012

We had a great time. This apartment was excellent it was very modern and we loved the design. If we have anything to mention is that the Balcony and the windows weren't very clean.

Hi Erin, We are happy you had a great Melbourne Cup weekend. Thanks for the comments re windows, we have the scheduled cleaning in place though out the year. It is due to be done again late November. Windows are tricky as the moment you have them cleaned it rains!!

My son and I traveled with friends each of us staying in units at the Sands Resort. Number 28, where we stayed was well equipped and comfortable. The kids had a very good time.
