Experience peace and tranquility and stay in one of our eight, tastefully furnished, one bedroom apartments. The design is traditional West Indian, the colours are tropical and it is all nestled within lovingly landscaped grounds, rock walls and lush vegetation. An easy three minute stroll through a coconut palm grove brings you to Tortola's premier beach, Cane Garden Bay, where we have beach chairs, loungers, floats and kayaks for our guests to enjoy. Cane Garden Bay is a lovely traditional fishing village which is now very popular with tourists who have had the fortune to discover the British Virgin Islands. Cane Garden Bay is a white coral sand beach where you can swim, snorkel, windsurf, paddle board, fish, kayak or relax...and sometimes surf...A variety or restaurants/bars, convenience stores, laundromat, bakery and night time entertainment are available in the Bay, all within easy walking distance of Mongoose Apartments.

Mandatory 7% government tax per apartment per night. If you choose to use the air-conditioning in the bedroom there is an additional charge of $10 per night for this luxury. Maid service and amenities are free - no service charge added to bill.

I have stayed in Mongoose apartments several times over the years. The last time in august 2011. It has not changed in the time I have been going there - and I mean that in a good way! It is at the best (quiet) end of Cane Garden Bay but still close enough to walk to local restaurants and the stores for supplies. There is just about everything you need in the apartments including very good cable TV and Wi-Fi. Sandra is the perfect host and will help you out with any information or other aid. I got caught in an Impending tropical storm / hurricane on the last but one day of my vacation. Sandra was very good at keeping me informed and giving me options (get out early / stay/ fallback plans, etc. Thank goodness these are a rare occurrence in the B.V.I. so don't let it put you off. I can't praise Cane Garden Bay enough for being quiet. laid back and still surprisingly unspoilt (but yes there is some Caribbean "clutter" around). The sea is gorgeous, clean and calm. You can swim out quite a way and still sea the bottom easily. Cruise tours do visit the Bay but they are not there for very long and the visits are not very frequent. In any case very few people get up the end of the beach close to Mongoose. They mostly stay near the bars / restaurants at the other end.
Do go to Cane Garden Bay and support the local economy and please do stay at Mongoose. -

In October 2011, My husband and I stayed at the Mongoose apts. on Cane garden bay, Tortla, BVI..The owner, Sandra, was the one of the nicest and most helpful person that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting during our many travels!! Her apts were clean and very spacious and had everything we needed during our visit..We were only steps away from one of the most beauitiful beach in the BVI..Restaurants, grocery store, and beach bars were all within walking distance of our room. Sandra had a small little beach house on the beach where she let us borrow kayaks , floats, and beach chairs..It was great..If you need a cab..she would get one for us!! We saw lots of fish and coral snorkeling right off the shore there!! A great place to lose yourself from the stress and hectic world and enjoy some of the most peaceful sunsets you'll ever see!!
