This is a lovely cabin, in excellent condition, just as described. My party consisted of 2 adults and 2 tween boys. We enjoyed the wifi, hot tub, screened back porch (where we ate each of our dinners), and the dvd player (for movies we brought and a nice selection at the cabin). Plenty of room for down-time in the mornings and evenings. Townsend is a great place from which to enjoy the Smoky Mountains. The cabin was secluded, but near town, so close to the Little River and Park entrance. It couldn't be better. We had a great vacation. I definitely hope to return and will recommend the rental to friends and family.

We (family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 teen boys) stayed for four nights and very much enjoyed this cabin. We had plenty of room to spread out which is always so much nicer than at a hotel. We made good use of the fireplace as it was pretty chilly during our stay. We ate 3 out of the 4 dinners at the cabin, packed picnic lunches, and ate all of our breakfasts there. The kitchen was well equipped, Wifi worked great, washer and dryer were fairly new and also well used during our visit after several muddy hikes. Beds were comfortable too. Robin was very pleasant and flexible. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Left on 09/30/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This is our 2nd year at the "Appalachian" and we have already booked our 3rd week visit for Sept. 2013. Love the privacy of the cabin and location on the "quiet side of the mountain". For those that want more action, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg are just a short drive away.
We spend our days hiking the Smoky Mountains and then retreat to the beautiful and tastily furnished cabin. The highlight for us is to soak our tired muscles in the private outdoor jacuzzi. We also enjoy the free WiFi to keep in touch with our family. We can't think of an additional amenity that should be added...this cabin has it all!!

We had a lovely 2 nights here in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin was very nicely decorated and furnished. We cooked dinner and breakfast which was a nice treat after travelling and eating out all the time. The hot tub was lovely too. The lady who owns the property was also very helpful, booking us in short notice and advising of good things to do in the area.

We have satyed in the appalachian for seven nights, with our two boys. The cabin is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and very well equipped. We even had a full size washer and dryer, plenty of games for the kids and Dvd's for both kids and adults. It is close to everything you might want to see in the Smokey Mountain National Park and area; but it is tucked away just enough that you can really enjoy your mountain getaway. Robin is great, and very responsive with whatever you need. It was truly our home away from home for a week. It was hard to leave, and we hope to return one day!

30709Wonderful Cabin - Great Location
Left on 12/27/2011 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed in the appalachian 3 nights the weekend before Christmas. The cabin is in a quiet area just a few minutes drive from the main road and it is near the Townsend entrance to the National Park, approx. 20 minutes to Cades Cove. We found the cabin very easily with directions from Robin and the GPS. There is a cabin directly across the street but no others within sight and it is very quiet. I have to say that this is the best rental we have ever stayed in. It was absolutely spotless (and I look very well), the furnishings are really nice and the kitchen is very well stocked. It was very nicely decorated for Christmas with a tree and mantle decorations and other decorations throughout. The Hot Tub was very nice on the rainy evening that we had and the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was great after a long day exploring the park. If you need something you will probably find it if you look. There is a nice washer and dryer in the cabin. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this cabin or other ones belonging to Robin.

I'm so glad I checked Trip advisor for reviews on cabin rentals in the Townsend, TN area. We have traveled to the Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley, Townsend, and Cades Cove area for the past seven years and this was, by far, the most comfortable and cleanest cabin we have stayed in. Robin made sure we had everything we needed and she even brought us a delicious chocolate pound cake. Everything was great! We will definitely return to this cabin.

Great cabin in the forest. We stayed for a week with two kids, and we will certainly come back. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We also loved WiFi which allowed us to work and check the trails, etc.

Left on 03/07/2011 for a stay in March 2011
I found this cabin by searching on the internet. The website was very inviting and informative. Once reserving the cabin, I received our rental agreement very quickly and was given great details about the cabin. We told Robin that we would be arriving after dark...and guess what? She left the porch lights on for us!
The cabin was very very clean and well decorated. The hot tub was in perfect condition as was the jacuzzi. After a 22 mile run in Cades Cove, these were welcome treats! The location of the cabin was only about 1 mile or so from the main road. The tall pines surrounding the cabin made you feel very secluded even though there was a cabin directly across the street. Since this cabin was not located in one of those large cabin communities, it was very private.
We loved the location, the decor, the cleanliness and overall experience. We will certainly come back and will recommend to family and friends. Robin even called us on Saturday to make sure things were going well. Now that's service. The only complaint we had at all is that we had to leave!!! -

Left on 03/02/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Robin's cabins have always been top notch, but this one was by far my favorite.
My BFF and I came to Townsend for a Girls' Weekend, and this was just what the doctor ordered! The cabin was stocked with chick flicks! We were able to relax in the living room and just watch movies and read.
The hot tub and fireplace were perfect and really the cherry on top of the sundae!
I live in the city and have become use to hearing city noises. I was in awe of only hearing silence and nature at this cabin. It was like no one else was around!
The kitchen was stocked beautifully. We both love to cook and had every cooking utensil we needed!
I can't say enough about Townsend, the appalachian Cabin or Robin! -

The cabin is beautiful and the location is breathtaking. It was very clean and nothing like the cookie-cutter cabins we previously stayed in in the Gatlinburg area. It was very private, well stocked with supplies and conveniently located. We enjoyed our visit so much that we have booked our next getaway to the cabin for October 2011.
