4th time to stay in Crystal Fountain. As always the welcome from Teresa was warm and friendly,and she is always at the end of the phone for any queries. The houses are bright and spacious, spotlessly clean and ideally located. Dingle and Killarney are less than an hour away and there is plenty to do in Tralee also, with the new wetlands centre, the dome swimming complex, crag caves, the fabulous museum and so much more. A lovely treat for the family.

Surprised there are not more reviews of these houses. I stayed with my daughter, son-in-law and their two kids in late august, the week after the Rose of Tralee festival. The price dropped dramatically after the festival and they were good value for a holiday before kids returned to school. We were in a three bedroomed semi-detached. It was very well laid out, spacious kitchen and dining area with a downstairs master bedroom ensuite while upstairs had two good sized bedrooms both also ensuite. It had all modern amenities plus multi channel television and dvd. Location is good about, ten minutes walk from centre of town. Tralee, while not having the tourist attraction of Killarney, is quite central but needless to say a car is a must. It is the gateway to the Dingle penninsula, just half hour from Killarney and twenty minutes from the lovely beach at Ballyheigue. Overall we had a really enjoyable holiday and would recommend these houses as a good self catering option.

We, a family of five two adults and almost three teenagers rented this house for the third week in august which coincided with the Rose of Tralee Festival (we didnot know this when booking). There was plenty of atmosphere and nightly entertainment in Tralee as the festival attracts a lot of visitors and investment. Even without the festival Tralee is a great location to spend a week in as it is surrounded by class golf courses especially Tralee Golf course itself which is a must play for all Links golf enthusiasts. Keep a look out for open events there though as this way you will get great value as we did. It is a bit expensive otherwise. We also played Castlegregory 9 hole links which is close by. Very unique and enjoyable course also. For the non golfers we also took the oppurtunity to do some surfing in at the fabulous Inch Beach on the Dingle Peninsula about 25 minutes drive from the house. The lads in the offshore surf school there were great help and very good value I was told. The houses are also very close to the aqua Dome which is also a great fallback option if the weather is not suitable for anything outdoors. The houses are in a very quiet small estate and are very well equipped (ensuite in each room), well maintained and very clean.Only negative comments are that the couches in the sitting room were a bit uncomfortable and could do with a bit of an upgrade. They should look at having Wifi available and TV setup as referred to in other review was fine but not great. We would definitely return to Tralee and would stay here again without a doubt.

Trident Holiday Homes who run Crystal Fountains Holiday Homes site in Tralee Co. Kerry ,have only contacted us once in nearly a year since our property was invaded by thieves on xmas eve night, who stole cash and goods to the value of nearly six thousand Euros. Thier response was we had no claim against them at all, even though thier office where they kept the keys to all the properties ( in a shabby litttle cupboard that was easily forced open), this office or any of thier properties dot not have any security. With guests carrying expensive laptops, cameras, cash and documents you would think some provision could be made. The second part of our complaint is there was no water or saitation on site due to the frost but the management didnt inform us in advance and when they were finally confronted they told us to drink from the hot water tank (open tank in the loft), they didnt even clean away the snow and ice from the front door. No Health and Safety for these people. A very shabby xmas break made worse by even more shabby holiday let company. My wife is still suffering from nightmares and anxiety and we are still awaiting a full refund if nothing else. Martin Loftus and Family,never to be guests of Trident Holiday Homes again.

What a great and economical way to stay in SW Ireland. These homes are built for efficiency. Very private. Three spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Great kitchen and living area. Had trouble with the TV in that there are a gazillion satellite channels. Wish it simply had the 5-10 most commonly watched ones. But I didn't come to Ireland to watch TV. Great fireplace, perfect for peat or coal fires and a cup of tea in the chilly evenings. Very comfortable accommodations. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. It's right on the Ring of Kerry and walking distance to downtown Tralee (a true Irish town, not full of american tourists like nearby Killarney). So nice to have a full kitchen to enjoy some home meals rather than eating out all the time. What a bargain!!!
