This was our first visit to Jamaica in late august 2012.Our family loved the property with perfect ocean view and great swimming pool. Since the weather was a little windy we spend a lot of time in swimming pool.Marie was very caring and loving lady in making us wonderful Jamaican food.I definitely recommend this property to everyone!

treasure beach is off the tourist path, however for a perfect weekend of peace and perfection go to treasure beach. the staff of drfitwood were incredible, the house clean and in good shape, lovely pool and viewa to die for

The most beautiful property rented through TreasureTours.net is Driftwood. It is elegantly appointed, tastefully decorated with native art, cool and spacious, and set in the midst of a tropical garden that includes a plunge pool. The location is a short distance from town, so there is nothing but peace and quiet, sun and shade, breezes and the whisper of the ocean to hear. You will recieve the full attention and culinary expertise of Marie, who will ensure that your every desire is met. Treasure Beach is a close knit community and we have always felt welcome everywhere we went in town. It is very different from other cities in Jamaica such as Negril, that have become crowded with strangers.

My daughter said it was the best vacation ever. Keep in mind she has been to England where we rented a townhouse in a village that was built in the 1500's. She spent 6 weeks in France last year. We also have spent 3 weeks in a private home in Switzerland with friends. We have been to Mexico to see the Mayan ruins and we rented an ocean front condo on Kuaui for a week a number of years ago. So her compliment comes with a wide array of experience in foreign stays. My husband wants to know what it costs to buy a little piece of paradise like Driftwood! Not that we could do that but we can dream.
What made it so special you might ask. Well, of course location is part of it. We loved its location. Not actually on the beach so nobody was camped out right in front of us but the beautiful beach and coves were just steps away. The view was spectacular. Another key element is the house itself. It was comfortable and relaxing. The bed in the large bedroom was very comfortable! The porch, the pool, the gazebo! If I owned such a wonderful place I would consider screening in more of the windows, we were assailed by mosquitoes. I would also put a t.v. in the main living area. We didn't watch it much but when we did we didn't want to invite the girls into our bedroom to watch it too. I might also try to provide bikes for renters due to its distance from Jack Sprats, etc. We were not comfortable driving due to the fact we are used to driving on the opposite side of the road and Jamaicans drive much more enthusiastically than we. The last element that made this vacation so memorable were the people. Marie took wonderful care of us. Her cooking was fabulous, her respect for the money we spent on food and her efforts to be economical were very much appreciated. Her warmth and humor made us feel right at home. She takes wonderful care of the house and its occupants. Her advice was always helpful. It felt great to be able to put ourselves in her hands. We also loved Sylvan, I don't know if that is how you spell his name, from Treasure Tours. He drove us to several locations, YS Falls, Appleton Rum factory and Negril. The place he took us to in Negril we loved. Alberts was low key, on the beach, the food was good, it was uncrowded and the people there didn't hound us to buy, tip, etc. We rented jet skis and had a blast. He also took the kids to aTI and picked them up. It was a relief to know they were in his capable hands. While he is expensive it was worth it due to the safety factor and his knowledge.
For the first time ever I can see us returning to a vacation destination. There is still so much of the world to see yet very few places we have been to have offered Driftwood's unique combination of beauty, comfort, relaxation and warmth! -

Treasure Beach, Jamaica has been a favorite family vacation spot for 10 years. This time we stayed at Driftwood in the Great Bay area of Treasure Beach. The villa fully met our expectations.
Marie took excellent care of all us! She's a great cook and graciously made menu modifications to suit dietary needs. Love that Jamaican food!
Driftwood provides comfortable accommodations in a private setting. The villa is clean, nicely decorated and provides amenities we appreciate. The view from the long terrace is simply exquisite.
Good swimming is available within a short walking distance. It's an easy walk to the village.
We would definitely consider staying at Driftwood in the future.
