    Additional Location Information

Situated on the north coast of the St. Davids Peninsula, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Trefin lies between the villages of Porthgain and Abercastle Just a short walk from Aberfelin (Aberdraw) beach, this quaint coastal village, despite being small in size, boasts good facilities for locals and holidaymakers alike. Not only does it have a well-stocked village shop and a friendly pub and restaurant.

Trefin also has its own Art Gallery/Tearoom - Oriel y Felin which exhibits the work of resident St. David’s artist Pauline Beynon. It displays an ever-changing selection of paintings, cards, ceramics, jewellery and prints. The adjoining tearoomserves a delightful array of light lunches, soups, teas and coffees – a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing lunch.

The centre of the village has it’s own original roundabout, which has developed around the old disused village pump on the green.

Has potential but very disappointing for the price

Left on 09/25/2012 for a stay in August 2012

      Pros:
Very close to the coastal path and beach
      Reasonably comfy bed
Cottage does have character and with a few tweaks could be really lovely.
Some nice touches like the nice rugs and chairs in bedrooms.

      Cons:
The cottage was full of spiders! We must have got rid of about 20 and there were more we couldn't get to. Cobwebs everywhere. Seriously needed a good spring clean, vac and dust!
No instructions for the cooker. Had to use the microwave/electric hob or just go out for dinner. The Ship Inn is a nice spot for food.
Piles and piles of old tourist info leaflets. Needed a good clear out of old stuff and duplicates.
Furnishing, curtains and bedding were mostly a bit old and shabby. Is it too much to ask for cotton rather than polycotton bedding?
      No view.
Not much of a garden, dead plants in pots, rubbish lying around - needed a bit of work.
No ventilation in bathroom - gets very soggy after two people have had showers.
Shower head was broken - on the first shower it shot off the shower hose and nearly hit me on the head!
Lots of random tat lying round the property - again, it just needs a really good spring clean and sort out.
Information folder supplied not very informative.
