SalisburyA Fabulous place , A Fabulous Region !
Left on 02/09/2013 for a stay in August 2012
Having been acquainted with Laurence and Sandy when they lived in the UK we decided to visit La Casa Degli amori for a much needed family holiday. We travelled through Italy, spent a week here and then travelled back to the UK. La Casa Degli amori was far and above the best place we stayed. Pefect for all the family. Our two children (21 and 15) loved sunbathing around the pool and chatting with Laurence and Sandy and the other guests over leisurely breakfasts which were truly scrumptious! The rooms are impeccably furnished in different styles with ensuite bathrooms fitted to a high standard. An outside stairway and a separate lounge area for guests on the spacious landings outside the rooms, mean that you can be self contained if you wish but who would want to with hosts like Sandy and Laurence. They both go out of their way to help you to settle in and relax and are happy to answer any queries, advise on places to visit or eat and even translate for those of us not fluent in Italian! We arrived in time for the last few days of the Treia festival which culminates in the final of the Disfida del Bracciale on the first Sunday of august. This extraordinary game, a bit like squash but played as a team and involving hitting the ball with a wooden bracelet strapped to the lower arm, originates from Treia. During the festival there are different musical experiences each night in the main square, free of charge, and the beautiful medieval town is lively and welcoming. The wider area offers much to see including beaches, the third largest caves in the world (amazing), Gorge walks, a wide variety of restaurants and beautiful hilltop fortress towns. Not forgetting the famous open air opera house in Macherata. In short the region of Marche is an unspoilt gem of Italy and La Casa Degli amori is the perfect base from which to enjoy it.

Casa Degli amori is a peaceful haven in the most beautiful Italian countryside with loads of places to visit and beaches within 45 mins. Just 45 minutes drive from ancona airport this is not just a B & B it is a five star country house which is also the home of your hosts Lorenzo and Sandy. The rooms are beautiful - all their own personalities, with ensuite and plenty of storage and views to die for! A separate staircase for guests to go to their rooms if they don't wish disturb their hosts.
Breakfasts served under the vines at a wonderful marble and ironwork table made by Lorenzo himself as is much of the ironwork around the house and garden. There are wonderful restaurants around the area but with Sandy offering Michelin star meals you can happily stay and enjoy bottle of vino or two and your own company or if you fancy hearing a bit about Marche chatting to your hosts who are so well informed about the area which is full of hilltop towns and villages most with their own beautiful theatre. With the Opera festival nearby in Macerata, a blues festival each summer and loads of music and theatre you can easily spend a week or two enjoying culture, good wines, lounging on the beach or just driving in the hills. Alternatively linger over one of Casa Degli amori's mega breakfast then tumble into the screened private pool surounded by herbs and lavender, followed by a good book and gaze and the views in all directions. We will be back again this year and again after that...

We are B&B; Travelers to everywhere,in our 60's. We stayed here a full week. The superlatives to describe this heavenly location and memorable experience is almost impossible. The Love's are loves themselves, who offer every comfort to return to after daily excursions, including delicious home made meals, in their comfortable, lovely home. From here, there are too may exciting sites accessible to mention. The rooms, accommodations and amenities are so very inviting and comfortable, it was hard to leave on daily road trips. Sometimes all we did is hang out by the lovely pool, surrounded by a glorious landscape and rose bushes, or enjoy a glass of wine lounging in the back yard. We could go on and on and not say enough. It was heaven. Let's just say, we'd do it again and again.

Bishops StortfordAn Italian B&B; that surprises and surpasses expectations

We have stayed at Casa degli amori in Le Marche a number of times over the last few years, indeed it has become a regular highlight of the year for us. Staying on our own or with family and friends, it just seems to get better and better. The house is set in a rural location and is beautifully renovated, the bedrooms are spacious, comfortable each having their own wonderful view. Nothing is too much trouble for Sandy and Laurence who are keen to make everyone's stay a perfect home-from-home getaway. Sandy's cooking is legendary, in particular her delicious breads and preserves made from home grown fruit and if you have room for Laurence's cooked breakfast you will be set up for the day. There is also so much to do exploring an area of Italy which remains relatively unspoilt and hidden from the normal well-worn tourist routes. Whether it is visiting historical hilltop towns, many with their delightful little theatres and annual festivals, the local caves which are the largest in Europe, enjoying a lazy lunch watching the world go on one of the many sandy beaches just a short drive away, a spot of outlet shopping or just relaxing in the sunshine by the pool at the house, there is something for everyone. Sandy and Laurence are always on hand to offer advice on where best to visit depending on the time of year. For evening entertainment you may be lucky enough to find an open air concert is taking place not too far away. There is always the chance to watch Laurence complete a unique ironwork commission in his forge. We have already planned our next visit this June and cannot wait to go back!

Last September my partner and I stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful B and B. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and like we had known Sandy and Lawrence for years. This lovely house oozes with their warmth, and that together with Sandy,s amazing cooking would prompt you to want to return, but the surprises kept on coming as we were shown our lovely room , well more like a suite, with views from every angle, and the stunning gardens with full sized swimming pool which guests are able to use.
On the days when we could tear ourselves away, we were able to visit the beautiful adriatic coast, and amazing caves both within an hour , as well as assisi and lovely vineyards all easily accessible in a day.
We will definitely be returning this year, and would highly recommend
to anyone who wants to experience real Italy.
