The Tremezzo residence apartments were absolutely perfect for our holiday. We were a group of 11 and stayed in 2 of the apartments.
Everything about the stay was brilliant. I just wish we could've stayed longer.
The location was great, only a few minutes walk to the ferry and the most amazing wine bar/wine tasting at La Cantina. Can also recommend the pizza place up the road.
Mateo, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we were well looked after, and Brian at Italian apartments was also very helpful and accommodating. -

I really want to lie and tell you that this place stinks so that we can come whenever we want. But, to be honest we had an absolutely amazing time in Tremezzo Residences No. 5. The apartment offered everything we needed for our short but very relaxing stay.
I must say that the pictures are even understating the real case here ("No, I am not the owner of this property :)!"). If you wish to have nice dinners on your private terrace with friends, watching the scenery of the lake as the sun sets, this is definitely your place! We stayed there for 4 nights only, but we enjoyed relaxing days by the pool, sat in the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine watching the stars at night and talked and laughed among friends.
Also, Matteo the Owner/Manager was really helpful and friendly welcoming us to the estate!
All in all it was a perfect stay and we all can only recommend this place!

Kinderen vinden zwembad geweldig. Compound is goed afgesloten. -

Matteo couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived and we were delighted with the apartment. The view from the garden is beautiful and you can be as private or interactive with the guests as you want. The facilities were excellent and well maintained and with just a short pleasant walk down to shops and restaurants at the lake side it had everything we needed.

We went on holiday as a party of 6 (3 Generations of our Family)and had the most perfect stay at the apartment in Tremezzo. The apartment was absolutely wondeful, clean and well decorated/furnished. The garden grounds were lovely and the large swimming pool was very inviting to cool off on those hot summer days. There was also a lovely hot tub and a sauna situated in the gardens along with lovely sun houses where you could sit on comfortable seating in the shade of the sun. The views from the garden were stunning, in one direction you looked over the lovely Lake Como to the mountains beyond and in the other direction, more beautiful mountains rose steeply up behind you. The very pleasant owner meets you on arrival and is very helpful, he is available 24 hours a day should you require any assistance. The locals were very pleasant and the staff in the Restaraunts and Bars couldn't do enough to help you. All in all, we spent a wonderful week there and could have easily stayed on for longer. The only down side would be getting from the village to the apartment on foot for elderly people as it is quite a steep climb, if you have a car though, not a problem and the views are certainly worth the effort. Thoroughly recommended and a big Thank You to the owner (Matteo) and to Brian and Barry or all their organisation during the booking process etc.

Rotterdam, The NetherlandsLovely residence at excellent location
Left on 08/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012
It was the first time that I booked an appartment through Tripadvisor/Flipkey. It took some time before I could reach the property managers but when I did reach them they were very responsive and answered all my questions. The fact that it took some time to reach the property managers made me a bit apprehensive (I wondered whether the residence actually existed) but I had read all the reviews on Tremezzo residence which gave me the confidence to book the appartment. We were not dissappointed. Tremezzo residence has a good location on Lake Como - it was only a short walk downhill to the lake where you could get a ferry to all the different places on Lake Como. This meant that we hardly used our car during our stay but we were still able to visit a lot of places. This was lovely as this is e.g. not possible in the Chianti region where a car is a must have. The residence itself is very nice. It is clean and built in such a way that all appartments have a lake view. Even though there are 11 appartments the swimming pool did not get overcrowded as a lot of people are out for the day and only use the pool during a small part of the day. Matteo - the owner of the residence - was very nice and friendly and very helpful during our stay. We needed a couple of kitchen utensils and they were provided straight away. The residence has appartments on the ground and first floor. Ground floor has a small & nice garden, the first floors have balconies. Even though we were located on the first floor this was not a problem with children. It was easy to go to the pool and there was plenty of space to have dinner on the balcony with a view over the lake. The 1 bedroom appartment has a good quality sofabed so it is easy to use the appartment with 4 persons. I can highly recommend this residence.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. The apartment was clean, in good condition and exactly as described in the brochure. A beautiful location. A visit to the tourist office produced some local walks into the hills (which had to be done early morning before it got too hot), where we took in some amazing views. A hire boat for the day was pricey but well worth it. Relaxing in the gazebos around the pool was good too. Just what we needed, a relaxing break.

Great service from manager (owner?) Matteo. On the way from the rendevouz point, he gave us a short tour of the town with, tips on the what, where and whens.
The appartment was as described and very nice. Great pool, jaccuzzi and pavilions. Not crowded even though I think all appartmens were booked.
The view of the lake produced beautiful backdrops and views for breakfast, wine&dine;, bbq and sunbathing.
Steep hill and no supermarket in the town makes it semi-required to have a car. We were there on an unusually hot period and would have liked to have air condition, at least for the bedrooms. Considering we are Norwegians :-). The downstairs sleeping area was very comfortable even on the hottest nights.
A janitor/gardner was doing a lot of work to keep the place and gardens tidy, but if you dont enjoy watching people work when you are on vacation, it was a tiny bit disturbing. -

All info we received about this residence was very accurate, when we arrived we were not disappointed in any way. We especially loved the "shortcut", what a wonderful little alley, and it connects the residence to the lake, the ferries, the shops in a few minutes!
Also appreciated all the information available in the flat, and enjoyed the hike up the hill to the restaurants Rusall (what a view!!) and Fagurida.
A dinner on the 'cursed island' Isla Comancina was exquisite. -

We stayed in Tremezzo residence for a bout 4 days and it was great. The location is wonderful as it is just facing the Ballagio. The restaurants in the town are good all of them have great food.
The appartment is great with Swimming pool, Sauna and a whirlpool. There is a big garden and apartments are overlooking the lake and mountains. The manager was very kind and helpful, intact he showed us around and recommended places around. Grocery store is walking distance and the place is quite peaceful. -

View was not as anticipated from website photos as the outlook is now obscured by hedges. Apartment is clean but feels sterile and has zero ambience. Overpriced for what is on offer and charge for WiFi connection at 30 euros per concurrent user , regardless of length of stay, is a rip off. Enjoyed Tremezzo but will not be back to this residence.

Manager
Dear Robin, Many thanks for your comments.
We ask customers whenever possible to offer feedback during the stay to address any issues during rather after the stay. On another occasion a client kindly asked to cut the hedge and we immediately organised this (our gardner is on place everyday and is always very helpful) At present guests can see the lake also when sat on the table in the garden (it was possible when Robin was there to see the lake, but not if sat at the table) So a request such as this is not an issue for us, note to renters...please ask and we will always do our very best to oblige.
The apartments are exactly as they look on the websites ( clients often comment on arrival that the apartment is as they were expecting or better) They are modern style, so if client is looking for something different (rustic, classic, country, etc.) with a different ambience or feeling we can offer alternatives at www.italianapartments.co.uk
We keep the homes immaculately clean as i have 3 children i always insist on the homes i holiday in and hence my own homes being spotless at all times which customers often comment upon how clean and well presented the homes are so we do our best to avoid the homes feeling sterile as you mention.
Regarding internet connection, I always explain to every client that this is the cost that I'm paying to the company that is managing the service: sometimes for a short period (2-3 days) I am able to get a discount, but not always (in particularly when for 5 days as in this instance) We offer this service as a convenience to guests and always advise clients that it is plenty of wi-fi area for free in Tremezzo. Indeed all the users can use the same passwords (not simultaneously) and so the charge is not per user, but per group.
Robin, sincere thanks for your feedback and for booking with us.
Kind regards
Matteo (proprietor) -

The holiday experience at Tremezzo Residence was flawless from start to finish. Our pre-booked transfer was waiting for us at Milan Malpensa to whisk us off to the apartment complex which is beautifully kept with a lovely pool area which our children adored. The very courteous owner Matteo met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment and the grounds which both exceeded our expectations. The apartment is perfectly located for ferries and buses, which are all accessed down the fairly short, but steep cobbled slope (which helps to burn the calories on the way up!)
All in all a wonderful place to stay - but let's not forget Matteo who gives you 100% attention and offers a great wine buying service, which is of great quality but reasonably priced.
Here's hoping we will see you again.
Ciao for now! -

Tremezzo residence was great for us - good quality accommodation, nice pool and a really convenient location for seeing the mid lake Como area. We were able to pretty much abandon the car for the week which made it a really relaxing break. Matteo was brilliant for looking after us. Whilst the are a dozen apartments on the residence, it seemed really quite and the pool area never got overcrowded. Great views down across the lake.

As we were driving Matteo called to arrange the time for meeting us at the general store in Lenno and his brother Micheal was there to meet us and show us the way to the residence and then shown around the apartment after we were then met by Matteo and paid the balance and deposit. To be honest Matteo and co left us alone all week just poping in midweek to say hello and ask if all was ok. He did leave his number if we needed anything. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everthing we needed and of good quality. There patio was great and gave us direct access to the lovely pool with the bonus of a hot tub and sauna. The views over the lake were out of this world and even though walk down to the town was easy back up was exhausting but you get used to it and it beats driving as paking along the lake is at a premium. The town has lots of places to eat all around the same cost around 10-15 euros for a main course unless you push the bost out. The lake ferry service is at the bottom of the track from the apartments and serves the lake. Great day out to Bellagio a very nice place and worth a visit menaggio is also worth a visit. You then have the gardens at Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello is stunning but be aware that it was closed Monday and Wednesday's. To sum up it was a really lovely and relaxing week with stunning views and friendly locals. We will definately be back for another visit.

On arrival the apartment was everything as advertised, the location is not for everybody as it is a very steep walk up hill from the lake side. Parking very good, apartment clean and well presented. A car is a must to visit the other towns on the lake, Lecco is worth a visit, takes about one & a half hours on the slow boat from Bellagio, but isn't as touristy as Como with excellent shops. The garden areas were close to each other and a little disappointing. I don't think we would return because of the lack of privacy.

We had two weeks staying in Residence Tremezzo. The location is stunning with fabulous views across the lake. The modern apartment and surroundings were very clean and well-maintained. There is no air-con but the downstairs bedrooms remain cool and we made use of the shutters to keep the temperature down upstairs. Matteo (the manager) was extremely helpful, especially when our arrival was delayed by road closures. One point to note is that the local restaurants are all at the bottom of the hill and the quickest route is a cobbled walk, although only two minutes down it is quite steep coming back up. Not ideal for pushchairs or the elderly. All together the apartment is an excellent base for exploring Lake Como.

We were a party of six, and found the accommodations spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. The view of Lake Como is grand, and the proximity to the village and the ferry was very convenient. Matteo could not have been more helpful. He met us to show the way to the apartments, (even though we were delayed in Milan by several hours) responded within minutes to inquiries, and found us a driver for an early morning departure to the airport. Highly recommend both the apartment and the village for a getaway.

We got married on Lake Como on 13th July 2010. Our bridal party and close family booked Tremezzo residence. Hard to find as there is no sign on main road but when we got there it was well worth it. Amazing views and pool. Brand new apartment, very large. No air con but keep shutters closed and it is fine. Matteo and his wife so so helpful but I think poor Matteo is too busy, he needs an assistant! Would recommend that a large party like ours should be placed in apartments beside each other. This would mean non wedding party guests will not be disturbed. Highly recommend these apartments.

Great residence. Big, clean, modern and helpful management. We found it perfect for a larger family group with 5 small children. The location was marked down slightly only due to the fact the shortcut down the path into Tremezzo is quite steep and cobbled so not very buggy friendly - but that was the only niggle.
