Durham, North CarolinaNice stay a block or two from the shore

We stayed here for 3 nights. A nice relaxing stay. The cottage was well equipped with kitchen stuff - toaster, blender, microwave, utensils, plates and linens and towels. Rather musty when you open the door, but it airs out quickly and I imagine this is hard to prevent in a place that is foggy nearly every morning. The company was very organized and the contract and pay schedule was clear. There is a 60$ cleaning fee and 25$ processing fee that significantly adds to the per night cost, and you don't see this when you are comparing prices, so not as good a deal as I thought at first, but still was a nice stay on our own terms. Also note that as a rental, we had to pay the full price before ever seeing the place, which made me a bit nervous - this leaves the renter with little negotiating power if there is a problem, but all worked well for us. The wine left for us was a thoughtful touch. WiFi worked fine also. Nice easy stroll to the coast.

I am sorry that you felt that way. We specifically list the sq. footage and the kitchen is fully stocked and the living room is comfy. We feel it's a great deal, on par with local hotel rooms, close to beaches, and a good size for 2 people or a small family and have many repeat customers. Next time book one of our larger places that are just slightly more expensive if you need more size. Also, the yard and new grill are things you don't get at a hotel.
