Description from the owner
This comfortable house is a former girl's school of the little village Troche. The house was recently fully renovated. The result is a beautiful mix of modern comfort and authentic elements. The house is surrounded by an enclosed garden on the south with stunning unobstructed views in all directions.
The recent pride of the house is the Living Lounge. Because wheather can change and it is not always sunny in the Corrèze, we decided to convert the attic to a Entertainment Lounge where you can watch movies via Apple TV, or satellite dish or XBOX360 on a large screen. Complete with a great collection of DVD's and games. Heated or cooled...Read more

Additional Location Information
You find no mass recreation in the area, although Pompadour (7 km) is known for its horses, the annual competition hippique, splendid stables and its Club-Med facilities (at 3 km , with a large 15 x 7 indoor pool, tennis courts, competition hippique).
At the other side, approximately nine kilometres further, lies Vigeois (where you drive through when you depart the A20) and there you can canoe in the small savage mountain river or you can picnic and paddle at the small beach near the river in the valley.
Near that same village Vigeois (10 minutes drive) is a wonderful lake with an elongated sand beach: The Lac the Poncheral. A perfect spot to spend the day with playing children.
You can also visit castles, lakes, caves, several medieval towns or the special zoo in Limoges here in this area. Quarries, porcelain factories, there are many things to visit or to do. But especially: nature, nature, nature...!

's-HertogenboschSuper verblijf!
Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012

's-Hertogenbosch"never a dull moment"
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in June 2012

AmsterdamWonderfull, welcoming, lovely home away from home!
Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The ancienne Ecole is a place i will defenetly return to. The house feels very friendly yet is full of comfort. The garden with sunny and shady places is lovely. Extra is the "stable", where you sit and eat even when the weather is going bad.The living room with kitchen area is very spacy...fully equipped, a very nice place to sit and sip some wine by the fireplace.
The masterbedroom is an absoluty delight with its attached bathroom. All beds are really comfortable. The rooms are nicely dressed, and all have shutters. It feels very 'countrylife' to open them in the morning!. The attick is the biggest surprise of the house. Around 80 square meters of home-cinema/gamecenter and playroom for children. Best place to be when the weather goes down.
The village of Troche is charming, lots off flowery gardens, only one bakery, but they do carry a little more then croissants. Overall I woul,d recommend this place for lots of groups, with or without children. If you look for a place to relax, this is it.
