My partner and I have traveled extensively to coastline Mexican villages/towns, but none can top Casa Mujuhua. As soon as you walk through the front gate you will feel like you are on your own island, no neighbors in sight. You will never get a feeling of being indoors as there is a constant warm ocean breeze running through all quarters of the property. The grounds are beautifully kept by Poli, who is simply wonderful, and Gui makes sure the interior is absolutely immaculate at all times!! Gui's cooking cannot be surpassed by any nearby restaurant.
You are always just a few steps from a beautiful beach, where rarely a soul ventures, so essentially it is all yours, and the water's temperture is simply divine.
If you wish to stroll or take a run on the beach, you have miles of virtually uninhabited terrain in all directions from the property.
The local people could not be sweeter, and you need not worry about your safety in this quaint town, especially at night when you are protected by absolutely precious Don Tino.
The property manager alejandro is always just a phone call away, and is readily available at all times to meet whatever needs you may have, and do not forget to take his amazing kayak tour to take in the beautiful local ecosystem.
The only way we could leave behind this hidden treasure is to know we will return within the next six months, and plan to make this our home away from home for many years to come.
This has by far been the most splendid vacation we have taken in Mexico, we left without a single complaint from start to finish, and are counting the days until we can return!!

We arrived at Casa Majahua and were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff who toured us around the vacation rental and got us situated so we could begin enjoin this phenomenal location. One of the services offered and we took advantage was hiring a chef to prepare 2 meals a day (we did lunch and dinner). We sat with the chef and selected a menu – they next day and for our entire stay the meals were out of this world and the cost of this service was so reasonable – I highly recommend folks take advantage of this.
Every morning the staff was out early setting up coffee and ensuring the pool and grounds were pristine – it was amazing! The properly itself is like nothing I have ever seen before – beautiful free standing casitas which were roomy, comfortable, cool and relaxingly. The open air casita which houses the large kitchen, dining room, upper and lower decks – right of f the infinity pool allowed my group to enjoy each other, be alone when we wanted to just read or nap and enjoy the scenic few of the ocean which was always in our view point.
The owners of this establishment also helpful ands booked little get aways which were again amazing: 1) a canoe trip with a guide that was so smart and taught us all about the area we were in, got great sun and had so much fun 2) we did a fishing boat/scuba excursion that was amazing…it was also a guided scuba tour with an expert diver and person who knew just where to take us to see the best fish etc
Everything about this vacation was awesome: the location and vacation home, the service & owners, the the people within this town are amazingly friendly, it was relaxing and the views were great. Within the town and close to Casa Majahua are amazing mom and pop type little stores, a great yoga studio and the best little restaurant that cooked food brought from the local fisherman and ocean we were swimming in – it was so yummie!

Casa Majahua is great! I can only recommend it! The booking process was smooth and easy. The arrival/welcome was absolutely perfect, with drinks and food waiting for us. The cabañas are very comfortable and nicely decorated. The guest house was great for the kids (it was a bit hot and the guest house has aircon).
The breakfast was cooked on site and it was Delicious. Unfortunately i cannot remember the cook's name, but i have to say she is great!
We went to eat to the nearby restaurant and it was also delicious. Another day we bought lobsters (next door!) and grilled them ourselves! Great!

The check in process could not be better. we arrived at the tail end of a hurricane and ran into the home and were greeting by Don Tino and Poli. We popped a few glass bottle cokes and watined for the property managers who stopped by, gave us a little tour and took off. Thats what I call checkin.
Prior to the start of the trip I was dissappointed that there wasnt a gas grill but a wood fueld grill on sight. Now, after eating off the wood fire grill for a couple of days, I am dissappointed I only have a gas grill at home.
I travel too much for work, so my time with family is everything to me. we all reconnected that first afternoon as we watched the rain drizzle down the palapas while eating sweetcorn and continued to enjoy quality time and seize each passing minute.
What did we do? chilled.
smelled the flowers
threw the ball with my dad
swam in the pool with my grandma
walked on the beach with my mom
enjoyed each moment with my wife
tip, dont forget to hit up the aTM in town during your first and probably your only trip to town (as you will not want to leave). -

There really isn't anything other than good things I can say about Casa Majahua. It's amazing!
I've traveled plenty, staying at many places around the world and this place, the beauty of the architecture, the location, the beach, the people and all the little details just made this a perfect stay.
We rented it for a week for our wedding. Many parties, many times, night after night until the big day and we couldn't of picked a better place. Casa Majahua was the place everyone wanted to come to and not leave.
The peaceful beauty of the location is rare...it's a gift if you get to stay here. For a wedding, it was perfect. Great for group to hang out, spread out and enjoy it all. We had our ceremony on the beach and the reception in the garden, the decor was amazing thanks to the manager marianna who offers this as an additional service. She also offers to buy all your food and drinks in Zihua which was a huge plus and most other places in troncones don't offer this.
The photos do not do it justice...it is a gem! -

Looking to get away from ... well ... everything? Casa Majahua is just the right kind of getaway for friends and family of all ages.
Its beautifully appointed guest quarters, lush landscaping, and stunning views of the central Mexican Pacific coast will infuse your spirit with a sense of well-being, relaxation, and happiness. Whether finding a quiet nook or hammock to read that novel you've been waiting to get to or watching the sunset from the infinity pool with Marguerita in hand, you're covered.
There are so many more ways to enjoy the Casa and the area: Long, gorgeous walks on the beach, board games in the dining area, lawn games in the yard, sunning on deck chairs with fruity drinks, local restaurants, yoga at the retreat nearby, trying your hand at crafting local culinary dishes in the kitchen. It's all there. You can even bring your own music and dance 'til dawn because with the sound-system and no neighbors, you can definitely let your hair down.
I wholeheartedly recommend to any group of fun and recreation seekers the marvelous and magical Casa Majahua. -

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Majahua for a full week in July 2010. I was there with my partner and a group of friends (there were between 10-12 of us staying there at any one time).
Words can't describe how great this place is. The majority of the property is open air, so you really get to hear the waves, feel the ocean breezes, and enjoy the amazing location. I was afraid that it would be too hot and muggy in the non-AC rooms but that was not the case at all, and the breeze was great.
Everything about the whole property is top-notch -- I am very finicky from a design point of view and I really loved this place. Very beautiful and natural, and fits into the surrounding environment perfectly.
There is not much to do in Troncones itself, so visiting this place is all about enjoying the "compound." The amenities were awesome -- gorgeous pool, boogie boards, bicycles, etc. Everything we needed was there. We spent an amazing week just swimming, relaxing in the hammocks, walking on the beach, playing games, reading, making margaritas... This property is especially good for families or groups of friends who primarily want to spend time with each other, having fun around the property, and making the occasional excursion or day trip around the area.
I can't rave enough about the staff, from the local property managers Mariana and alejandro to the extremely friendly folks who cooked and cleaned. For a very small fee we had 2 amazing meals prepared for us each day -- I definitely recommend this, it made our trip so worry-free, and her food was fantastic, especially the chile rellenos! The staff also arranged trips into Zihua/Ixtapa and a day-long snorkeling boat for us, both of which were great.
We had such an amazing experience at Casa Majahua. I really have no "criticisms" at all and would not have changed a thing. We will definitely return again soon! -

We were married at Casa Majahua in June 2010 and had an amazing week. From the beginning Denni and Moira were extremely helpful with our wedding planning and put us in touch with some local contacts to assist with the planning. They were always available for support and questions as we moved through our planning process. The staff at the property were amazing as well from offering general day to day assistance to putting in the extra time and effort to make sure the property was picture perfect for our day. We couldn't have asked for more.
Our friends and family were stunned by the beauty of the space and the attentiveness of the staff - though the pictures posted are beautiful it is only once you are at Casa Majahua that you can truly appreciate the beauty of the home, its amazing location on the beach, and the awesome staff. The comfortable rooms, lounging space, tips for surrounding activities, games and pool toys to keep us entertained, and amazing kitchen where we could cook together with our family and guests all contributed to an outstanding week.
After a few days of clouds and light rain showers our wedding day brought us clear skies and a beautiful day for a ceremony just adding to an already perfect week. We can't wait to return for future vacations and celebrations and would highly recommend Casa Majahua to all! -

We just returned from a 10 day stay at Casa Majahua. This was our 4th time in
Troncones but our first time at Casa Majahua and we will definitely rent this
property again. We had 7 adults and 4 kids in our group and everyone
thoroughly enjoyed the vacation. The staff were there for anything we needed,
meals, shopping, babysitters, dinner reservations, surf reports, eco tour(my 7
year olds highlight of the trip) and fishing trips. A great place to chill out and
not feel the need to go anywhere. A group of us went to yoga everyday at
Present Moment while the rest went surfing. The accommodation is perfect for
large groups and families, there are lots of quiet reading/napping areas when
you need some time alone.
Highly recommended! -

I had the privilege of staying at Casa Majahua last July...and words just cannot express the beauty of this place. Everything was top notch...and it truly was the best vacation I think I have ever had (and I've been lucky enough to have traveled quite a bit around the world). The accommodations, grounds, scenery, location, staff, etc. were all fantastic. If you're looking for a vacation of a lifetime, I would highly recommend this. It is close enough to cities, yet secluded enough to enjoy peace and privacy if that's your goal! I do not hesitate to give Casa Majahua my highest recommendation!

We stayed at the amazing Casa Majahua and found it to be an absolute slice of heaven. It is everything described and more. They have done a beautiful job with all the custom details and layout of the property with a view of the ocean from almost every angle. It is very comfortable, open and airy with lots of room to roam. The staff that greeted us and cared for us during our stay were delightful and helpful. Casa Majahua is a spectacular piece of property with beautiful landscaping, infinity pool and sandy beach as you step off the deck. We have nothing but positive comments and good memories with Casa Majahua. Our visit was a very memorable experience that we will always carry with us.

This was our second year staying at Casa Majahua. We just love it. The setting is fabulous, the house just perfect. The entire staff are warm, capable and accommmodating. Lots to do in the area, fishing, long beach walks, horseback riding, whale watching. Just a perfect spot to relax, read, swim. We've been away for 11 years over the holidays, this is now home! Fantastic.
