With views over open countryside and fantastic sunsets. Trotton is a small hamlet with two historic churches and a good local pub serving good food and local ales. This location is great for all events at Goodwood and Cowdray park. Secluded and peaceful this is the perfect place to get away from it all.

Bognor RegisA beautiful countryside retreat with the perfect host!
Left on 06/26/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We were looked after from the moment we booked. Colleen was very friendly when I phoned to book our accomodation. We were looking for somewhere to stay for the night as we had a wedding to attend nearby. Colleen knew the places we needed to go to and reassured us that they were easy to get to. We had directions emailed to us that were easy to follow.
When we arrived we found the views were stunning and Colleen was a fabulous host, looking after us brilliantly. We were welcomed with homemade elderflower cordial, just delicious! Colleen made sure we knew where we were going and even helped my husband out when he realised he'd forgotten his cufflinks.
The accomodation is just delightful and so full of character. After a peaceful night we finished off with a fantastic full English breakfast with delicious sausages and homemade marmalade for the toast (made with homemade bread).
We really enjoyed our short stay here and would thoroughly recommend Spring Cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Sussex countryside. -

Dulverton, SomersetShort break at Spring Cottage
Left on 06/23/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We enjoyed a wonderful short break at Spring Cottage. Colleen & Charles are very hospitable and charming hosts. We had comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. I was particularly impressed as Colleen skillfully prepared a gluten free option for me - with no fuss! We loved the chickens and the private spring water to drink.
This is an excellent location to explore the South Downs with wonderful walks and pubs within easy reach. An added bonus is the super common land right outside Spring Cottage where walks (with dogs provided!) are just as good as travelling further afield. Midhurst and Petworth are worth a visit too.
We travelled into London from here on the Sunday which was a good option. With the Hindhead tunnel opening soon, it will be even quicker. -

First class service provided. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very at home. Set in a beautiful, tranquil location which we found very relaxing. Would highly recommend this beautiful cottage
