This 3 bedrooms bungalow with private swimming pool, is at 30 meters from the sea, spacious, tastefully decorated, highly maintained and offers comfort to couples, families, corporate bookings also accepted. Have a special time in this well equipped self catering. The house is located in Trou aux Biches on the sheltered part of the North West coast of Mauritius where a 3 km beach of white fine sand within a short walking distance offers excellent snorkeling and swimming as it slopes gently into the warm azure blue ocean protected by the c...oral reefs. Beautiful sunsets at 30 meters.

Trou aux Biches once a peaceful fishing village and a school has expanded into a busy tourist resort with all water sports and other facilities. Within walking distance you will have Scuba doo, primary school, Atlantis diving center, Popo Supermarket, a chemist, restaurants, 4 stars hotels, pizzerias and bus stops. dodolidays offering excursion tours such as La Vanille Crocodile Park. , Casela Bird Park, Chamarel coloured earths, Catamaran, Golf, Tennis, Fishing, Hiking, Water Ski, Valley de Ferney, Nature reserve Aquarium. Ile aux Aigrettes (Mauritius wildlife sanctuary, bottle diving. Trips to outer islands, Ilot Gabriel, Ile aux cerfs and Ile aux Benitiers. Dolphins watching, on the west coast. and seaplane in the north of the island.

Further north at 5 minutes drive or bus ride there is the sea resort town of Grand Baie with charming shopping boutiques, restaurants on the water edge, bars, night Clubs, banks, supermarkets, doctors, tour operators.

The beautiful and famous tropical garden of the Indian Ocean “Le Jardin de Pamplemousses” is situated at 20 minutes drive from Trou aux Biches , with its unique Talipot palm tree that flowers every 100 years and where giant Aldabra Tortoises, can be observed.

The busy capital Port Louis is 40 minutes drive away with its museums, market and China Town, elegant Caudan Water Front and “Le Champ de Mars” with its colorful horse racing.

  We stayed in Bungalow Forgetti in May 2012 for 6 nights and enjoyed every second of it. Although the bungalow is not directly on the beach it is only 20 meters to the sea and only a 3 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius - the Trou aux Biches beach. The bungalow - actually it is a huge house - has really everything needed for a perfect stay. And I mean Everthing. You have the feeling that people actually live in the house and it is not only equipped for a stay lasting only couple of nights - especially the kitchen is fully equipped. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the patio is ideal to have a breakfast or sit in the evening and relax. The pool is not suitable for swimming but more than adequate for kids or a cool-down. One of the best thing are the owners Dominique and Gilbert. There where incredible friendly and very helpful. They both made an already very good stay perfect. We really feeled like home and would stay there anytime again.

  Fantastic Spacious accommodation

  We were welcomed by the Forget family at the Bungalow with absolute warmth and friendliness at 11pm on the Saturday night! Dominique had been a gem in preparing salad and chicken for our dinner and had purchased some groceries for us until we could get to the shops the next morning.
  The accommodation was wonderful, really spacious and comfortable and the pool proved to be a blessing that we took full advantage of especially in the evenings. The Bungalow is very close to a grocery shop and a number of restaurant/eating places and within a few steps of the sea. Although the Bungalow is not right on the beach, we found this to be an advantage because it was quiter in the evenings and during the day you were not competing with other holiday makers to get out the door. Close to main shopping areas and very safe to walk around, in fact our sons (aged 19 - 26) & their girlfiends went out to the hotels for coctails in the evenings.
  An amazing holiday that was made better by the quality of our accommodation and a wonderful family in the Forget's who were always just a phone call away. Dominique also assisted us in hiring a car which was fantastic.
  As a family we would really recommend Bungalow Forgetti for your holiday in Trou aux Biches, we'll certainly do it again.
