Three bedroom, two bath cabin on Lakeview Creek and Donner Lake. Newly renovated property! Water access from the property. Covered access into the cabin for snow months. Level parking. RV permissable. Beautiful lake views. Wooded area, very quiet, except for babbling creek right outside master bedroom. Perfect location for skiers, boaters, mountain/road bikers, outdoor enthusiasts, or someone who just wants to get away. Modern ammenities, but a real "cabin" feel. Perfect for two couples with kids, Sleeps up to 8 people, using the pullout bed, but most comfortable for 6 to 7 adults , or 4 adults and 4 children.

The cabin is on South Shore Drive, Donner lake (Truckee, Ca). This is a quite neighborhood. Wade into the lake from the property or walk down the street to the beaches (private or public). The area is renown for outdoor activity. You can ride your bike right from the property and be on epic mountain trails within minutes, or take a lap around the lake, or up Donner Pass Road. You are 4 miles from Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, and 4 miles to Truckee.

We kept calling the owner on the way due to a very bad weather, but Jim (the owner) was so nice and patient on giving us directions leading us to the house. The house was very cozy and get everything you need. Everyone likes it! (including my husky)

Stayed last summer then again this winter. Major upgrades between stays have propelled this cabin with an excellent location to my new favorite mountain retreat.
Sites at Donner are generally very close together but this one has more elbow room and privacy than most. It is located on the quieter side of the lake and there is a nice mix of sun and shade at this particular location. My dog loves the creek that runs adjacent and also allows access to the lake. We will be back! -

We had a great time at beautiful Donner Lake. This beautiful little cabin made our stay super enjoyable. We were only 15 minutes up Highway 40 to Sugar Bowl where 2 feet of light powder waited. I loved that we didn't have to shovel our way out of the driveway. The hired snow plow was in and out clearing our way.
The views from the deck were spectacular, and can't wait to enjoy the lake on our return this summer. This cabin sits right on a stream that runs 30 to 40 yards into the lake. I hear it's a local fishing hot spot on the lake. Not to mention how nice it is to sleep to the sound of running water.
We loved the comfort of this cabin, and it's pet friendly. -

I recently stayed at this great cabin. Close to skiing and biking right outside the front door! Excellent place for winter or summer!!! I'll be there again, soon!

Ride from the cabin to the State Park at the east end of the lake to access a network of trails the Truckee locals don't talk about. Better yet, get dropped off on Donner Summit and ride the rim trail back down to the lake. Enough options for a week of riding, but stay off the PCT. I enjoyed a sunny October weekend at the cabin with a group of dusty riding friends and a very tired dog.

Well, I spent the night this weekend and it snowed 24" and was able to sleep in have a nice breakfast and still make first chair at Sugar Bowl, how nice is that! The cabin is very nice inside we love the pellet stove and the big flate panel TV with internet so we can listen to Pandora radio and surf the next for current weather conditions. I can tell we'll be back soon.
