Great weekend get away!
The condo was very clean and well equipped . The location was very convenient . Would stay there again.

Cozy & Comfy
The Gilbert Condo was the perfect place to stay with four kids...two girls and two boys. The girls shared the queen bed, the boys took the room with the twins, and we had a queen to ourselves. Everyone had their own space so sibling bickering was non-existent. Heaven!
Because the heat was controlled by only one thermostat on the middle floor, however, the downstairs can get chilly (even when you keep all the doors closed). A good excuse to cuddle up under the plentiful blankets on a cold winter's night.
Also love the fact that the Northstar shuttle stop is right off the entry pathway to the condo...quick trip up to the mountain and you're skiing in no time.

Nice place - great location
The location of this condo is great - walking distance to the village which we loved. It was very clean with comfortable furniture throughout the home. The beds were also very comfortable. The biggest problem we had was the heating. You can see this comment from many renters. This is obviously a big problem that needs immediate attention. The bottom floor takes about three days (in the winter) to heat properly. My children were forced to sleep on the floor upstairs two nights because it was simply too cold. I have older teens and believe me they are very tolerant - I would not have slept down there either... I left a message at the agency about the heating and never heard back from anyone and actually we ended up leaving a day early from our stay due to this problem. I would also rate the electronics in this house as below average. The TV is basic cable (not good during football season) and the bedrooms have outdated or micro mini Tv's. Sincerely, you cannot consider a 10" screen a TV... If those two items were resolved, I would definately stay again. In the summer, the heating issue would not be present so I would rate it very good for a summer condo and just average to below average in the winter.

Great Value and Location
Very comfortable condo for a group of 6 with terrific location. The shuttle bus stops right outside the unit. Three levels of living space affords privacy and a sense of spaciousness, but without negatively affecting the coziness of the place. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Family Ski Getaway
We enjoyed our stay in Northstar this January. First time skiing in 5 years and our kids all learned to ski. The condo is in such a great location and so easily accessible (2 min shuttle drive) to the village. The village has changed so much! It has everything.
The condo was pretty well equipped with everything we needed in both kitchen, laundry, linens, etc.. The main floor was comfy and spacious for our family of 5.
However, the rest of the condo layout was a little awkward with master on top floor, and no bathroom on the main floor.
The primary disappointment was the downstairs rooms where the kids stayed or 3rd guest room was at least 10-12 degrees colder than upstairs. There was no way to monitor the temperature unfortunately. And the doors needed to remain closed to keep all heat in, which was frightening for my kids, being in a strange place and having us 2 floors up.
My only other recommendation would be to upgrade the shower heads. Uneven water sprayed in a mist and it is at shoulder height.
The kids used their saucers on the snow piles right out front. Shuttle picks up at the front door which was nice and convenient. And we used the hot tub and game room which was a bonus activity.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Tahoe!
