Very nice house layout was great

The house layout was very nice and spacious the 1/2 bath downstairs was a added benefit adjacent to the kitchen. It was on a fairly quiet street but closed enough to grocery stores. The only things I would recommend would be to supply a potatoe peeler and a gridle. I made mashed potatoes and it was a real chore to peel them with a knife. We had french toast bacon and eggs and would have been alot easier with a griddle. Also a crockpot would be a benefit I'm glad I call ahead of time to find out so I could bring my own.

The house was clean at check in, and was situated between the Donner Beach marina club and the pool, allowing good access to both. Perfect size house for 8 people. Relaxing neighborhood and a great value.

Solid house

We love the Tahoe Donner resort area. This house was solid. We expected it to be larger. They said it slept 12. We were 8 (2 families) and I would not have wanted more. It was well-equipped, great hot tub, wifi (and it worked). It was $500 per night all-in and I thought that was a lot for this house. It was a holiday week however. The Pullen Group was very helpful and attentive.

Wonderful space for our big group

Our grown family - my husband and myself, three adult kids, a fiance, a friend and our grandpuppy - thoroughly enjoyed Justin's playhouse. Due to a New England snow storm we had a couple extra days and Pullen Realty was extremely accommodating. The discounted lift tickets at Squaw, left on the kitchen table, were a delight as was the lovely welcome basket.

We did a lot of cooking and kitchen was very well equipped, spacious and well set up. The center island/table was a great hangout for the kitchen helpers. The hot tub was a great draw both in morning and evening for the skiing crowd and it was the perfect temp. The beds were extremely comfy, the entire space very clean and nicely arranged. The location is great, just minutes from Truckee and close to all the ski areas. We didn't check out the Tahoe Donner ski area but it looks like it could be great for new skiers. We did have some trouble controlling the thermostat which kept resetting to 55 degrees and the ceiling in the living room had a small leak but overall we loved it!

Beautiful home in a fantastic location

Justin's Playhouse is an excellent location for a family on a skiing holiday. Near to Truckee and many of the ski resorts, we had a great stay. The hot tub proved a real hit, especially after a day on the slopes. A few general points if you are skiing, especially for the first timers: get lessons at Tahoe Donner - good value in the $75 day package, teenagers only need one lesson, then they can go on the bigger resort runs;
rent ski equipment from a local supplier, not the resorts;
there are ample supermarkets in the area but they do get busy late afternoon - no different than the rest of the USa I suppose;
buy car wheel chains before you get to the Tahoe area, and practice putting them on yourself before you get there, it will save you at least $50 - they were charging $120 for chains and fitting, bit of a rip off; there is inexpensive ski clothing available in the supermarket towards Incline Village - get you pants there, there is nowhere to hire ski clothing; and if you are staying over Christmas - bring a few decorations (we put up a little tree) as the owner and Pullen Rentals (who quoted us $500 for a Christmas Tree) do not put any up - humbug !! Apart from that, great location, we had a great time.

Cozy Retreat

The house was very comfortable, clean,
well-equipped and located close to grocery shopping, golf course, and downtown Truckee where we went to a craft fair. The backyard is very peaceful and relaxing and we made use of the hot tub and the barbecue. We had a couple of issues (refrigerator would not get completely cold and queen air mattress deflated in the middle of the night) but the Pullen Realty Group and owner satisfactorily resolved the issues.
We have a couple of suggestions that will help make the stay of the next large group an even better experience. We could have used a second frying pan and the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed needs a curtain to shield from the sun.

Well equiped and Clean!!!

We totally felt comfortable in Justin's playhouse! The house was impressively
clean with nice furnishings and all the conveinces one would need to feel at
home. We were two couples so didn't fill up the house but it was perfect for
us, I could easily imagine a few children in the mix with still plenty of space
for all. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and easy to
cook in.
We had a great time and would definitely rent this home again
thank you!

What a great experience!

This was the first time I rented from Pullen Rental Group. The experience started with excellect customer service during the reservation process, followed by an easy process.

The property is the perfect size for a group of 8-10, and "cozy" if you are going to have up to 12. Hot Tub fit 4-5 and was in excellent condition. The kitchen was great for group cooking and well stocked with knives, pans, wine glasses, ect.

I have bookmarked Pullen and will be sure to use them in the future.

had some issues

When we arrived the dryer did not work and the hot tub was not heated. We
had 5 children and a storm hitting , a dryer was necessary. We ended up
hanging clothes in front of the fire on a metal rack. It wasn't ideal ,but worked
out ok ,until the metal rack fell and went through one of the glass table
panels. We specifically chose this home because of the hot tub. It was
something that the adults were looking forward to on both nights.
Unfortunately ,we were only able to enjoy it one night ,because it wasn't
heated enough on the first night. And finally , on the day of our departure
,while we were packing up, the roof started to leak in 4 different spots.
When you take the time to research and find a home with everything you
want ,and mind you there are plenty of choices, It's really disappointing to
arrive and have these kind of issues. Especially when your paying over $500.00
a night. I think these things should have been taken care of before we arrived.

An appliance repair company was contacted immediately as soon as the owner discovered that the dryer was not working properly and the guests were notified prior to their arrival. The appliance repair company was not able to service this dryer until after the guests reservation was completed although every attempt was made to make this happen. This dryer is inspected frequently and vents are checked on a regular basis. A hot tub breaker was accidentally found in the off position and the owner walked this guest through the process to reset the breaker. The hot tub began to warm up immediately however may have been too cool for the guests during their stay. The hot tub is working fine. This home has beautiful cathedral ceilings and there are times when the ceiling collects moisture which causes a drip. The ceiling is simply "perspiring" not leaking. The owner has been researching this and has plans to make adjustments as soon as the weather warms up. This home is one of the "favorites" and is very popular. Of course all of us want guests to have a wonderful and favorable experience. We do apologize for the unforeseen issues that took place during this guests' stay.
