New construction, new furniture, new everything in 2009! For 2013 we've upgraded and updated some items as needed, but it all still feels new.

180-degree view of the National Seashore Dunes and Pilgrim Lake from the huge front windows, deck and front bedroom. Enjoy your coffee or cocktails in the warmth of the sun on the deck. Watch the sunrise and sunset, count the stars. Catch a peek of the bay and Provincetown from the back bedroom and the kitchen porch.

3 miles to Provincetown center (MacMillan Wharf), 2-6 miles to ocean & bay beaches, 1 mile to free Truro public beach with free parking. Feel the salt air from the bay across... the street (sorry, private beach, but probably ok for strolling), fall asleep to the waves on a quiet night. Surrounded by sand, beach grass & beach plums.

Indoors: 32-inch flat screen HDTV with cable, high-speed wifi (wireless or connect with our 25-ft cable for speed), cards, games & books. DVD & VHS player and CD/mp3 player. Plug your laptop into the TV to watch your Netflix (bring a VGA cable).

The spacious, airy open floor plan allows everyone to do their own thing and hang out together without feeling cramped. Move the swivel chairs, bean bag chair and stools/tables around however you'd like to play games, watch tv or the view.

Loaded kitchen, full size everything: microwave, dishwasher, blender, lobster pot, coffee grinder, 2 coffee makers, and a crockpot. Dishwasher and hand dish soap and coffee filters included.

Fresh spices hand-selected (including many good for pizza toppings), and pans to make lasagna, cupcakes, cookies, whatever you're craving.

Paper towels, paper napkins, dish towels, pot holders, all sorts of gadgets to make your vacation easy.

Dining: the table seats four to six, with two expandable leaves. Tablecloths, cute serving dishes, and plenty of bowls and platters provided. Service for 12 (dinner & salad plates, bowls, flatware, mugs). Tons of glasses - acrylic and glass: wine glasses, beer mugs, pilsners, margarita glasses, kids' plastic cups. New this year: gel-filled glasses you freeze, which keep your drinks nice and cold (especially good for the beach).

One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has two twins. All have memory foam toppers that can you can remove if you prefer a firm mattress. The sofa easily pulls out to a full/double bed, with a mattress better than most sofabeds.

The cottage has 2 blankets/bed (including the sofa bed), bedspreads, 10 pillows, 7 beach towels, and a couple clock radios.

A full-size washer/dryer makes it quick and easy to have fresh clothes for dinner and nightlife in Provincetown or Truro, and clean beach towels for the next day. Wet bathing suits can hang on the drying rack or the extra shower curtain pole over the tub.

High ceilings with ceiling fans and central air conditioning, plus a standing fan you can move where you want, keep you cool. Separate heat in each room keeps you warm in the spring and fall.

The blackout shades on all windows (even the really high one) let you sleep in late, while the airy curtains let light in while maintaining privacy. Both doors have full windows (also with shades) and screen doors for you to enjoy the breezes and light the outer Cape is famous for.

The lock is a combination lock, so no need to fuss with keys; the combination is changed each week.

2 parking spaces; room for kayaks, bikes and beach toys around the cottage.

Smoking allowed outside only. Sorry, no pets allowed, but there is a kennel in Provincetown where your dog or cat can stay overnight, and you can take them out during the day.

Additional Location Information

This cottage is on a thin strip of land, with Cape Cod bay on one side, and Pilgrim Lake and the ocean on the other. It's the thinnest part of the cape, where it's about one mile wide. Close to lively Provincetown and quiet Truro, and lots of bay and ocean beaches. Smell the salt air, and on a quiet night, let the bay waves lull you to sleep.

Half of rent due with lease to hold the week, the other half plus $300 security deposit due 30 days prior to check-in. Checks and credit cards accepted. No cleaning fees. Sheets & bath towels not included, bring your own or for rent from a local company. Beach towels, blankets and pillows included.

  I loved staying at Beach Ball Cottage. The view is wonderful across route 6.
  
  The cottage has everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. The main living area is spacious and airy because of the high ceiling. With both doors open there is a great cross breeze. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms so if the air isn't moving there's always a breeze. The interior is clean and modern with an Ikea sort of modern feel. There are some games for the kids which I and my young guest had fun with. It's close to all the Truro beaches both bay and ocean, but you have to drive to them. The aC if necessary is extremely quiet.
  
  The instructions from the owner are complete and have everything you could wish for. I loved my stay and would go back in a minute. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because when it was cool enough to have the windows open there is a bit of a highway hum from route 6. If the windows are closed this place is a 7. One caution, I forgot to tell the owner - my garmin identified a site about 500 ft short of the actual address. Just proceed slowly and you will see the Sunrise sign on the right.
