      Sonoran Desert Splendor

Left on 04/18/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Simply a beautiful home in the most convenient, yet private and quiet setting we've ever stayed in over the past 10 years of vacationing in Tucson. From the roof top deck, overlooking sunsets over the Tucson mountains, to the screened porch for morning coffee and sunrise, this house is perfect for vacationing. All the amenities one could need with comfortable beds, private guest suite with bath, attentive owners and southwestern beauty in every corner of this fabulously decorated home. The owners have carefully provided detailed instructions for every operating system and they themselves are available at a phone call as is their property manager. Adding to the experience is a private, walled backyard with beautiful cactus plantings and a sunken hot tub for those cool desert evenings and mornings. The location is as convenient as could be, with ready access to the highway for day trips, 20 minutes to the heart of downtown, 15 minutes from world class shopping and dining, and best of all, great access to hiking in the Catalinas as well as the Tucson mountains and surrounding desert. We will definitely be returning to this home again.

      Fantastic

Left on 05/19/2010 for a stay in May 2010

This home is a destination in itself, a desert oasis, couple that with all that Tucson has to offer, there is not a better place to vacation!! Next time we are planning to spend more time there, with a few days just to unwind in the backyard! I only hope someone doesn't take it for the whole season... Thanks Gary for allowing us to stay in your home

      Desert Retreat

Left on 04/09/2010 for a stay in March 2010

This lovely home was comfortable and functional, with an especially pleasing southwestern decor. We took advantage of every porch, deck, comfy couch, and the hut tub; as scuh, we had a very relaxing experience. It is a quiet setting that is literally moments from every amenity. When we needed an iron, the owners were very responsive and made sure we got one the day we asked for it. It would be nice for them to keep a blow dryer in the bathroom since one night it did get cold and we would have liked to dry our hair after bathing- but this is minor.
We loved it and recommend it.

      Casa Encantada

Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We very much enjoyed this adobe home. From the moment we walked in we felt "at home" and relaxed. The interior is wonderfully bright and the art work truly amazing. The beds were very comfortable and there were several spaces to have a quiet time, from the various outdoor areas to the comfy den. The sound system was able to be heard throughout the house and exterior areas. The owners were very helpful and even left a bottle of very nice wine for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Enchanting Magical Mountain and Desert Experience

Left on 03/13/2010 for a stay in February 2009

What a fabulous time we had at Casa Encantada! Everyday was full of
adventure, color, and excitement as we watched the wildlife and desert come
alive in this beautiful setting. Loved our margaritas on the rooftop deck as we
were surrounded by those gorgeous sunsets and mountain backdrops. Casa
Encantada is as beautiful inside as it is outside, fully equipped kitchen for all
the creative cooking you desire for entertaining or just relaxing yourselves.
We loved the colorful decor and attention to detail in every room. Would
return here anytime! The owners made us feel completely at home with his
welcoming and gracious assistance in making this a dream vacation. Even
though Casa Encantada is surrounded by magnificent open space, it is an easy
commute to great restaurants, shopping, and the thrill of discovering Tucson.
      Loved this place!

      A perfect desert retreat

Left on 03/11/2010 for a stay in April 2009

If you want to retreat to the desert, Casa Encantada is where you want to
go. You drive up a dirt driveway through cactus along a wash to a precious
adobe home which has everything you need. The rooms are colorful and
filled with original art of the Americas. The beds and showers give you the
comfort you want away from home and the kitchen is graciously and fully
      equipped.

The house sits up above Tucson at the base of the Tucson
Mountains across from the Catalina Mountains to the East. You have
wonderful choices from which to take in the unobstructed views. Watch the
sun rise as you sit in a screened-in garden room looking across the valley.
Go up to the comfortable rooftop deck for sunset. Or, sit in the sun in the
cactus garden or the shaded patio during the day.

If you can get yourself to leave, look through the book of suggested
destinations and take the owner's advice. They have explored the extended
area for years and can direct you to out of the way places or send you out to
shop, eat or wander locally. They can direct you to anything from Native
American pictographs and ruins to the best buys on anything Southwest or
      to high-end art and dining.
Enjoy your visit, we loved it.

Splash of Color in the Desert

Left on 03/11/2010 for a stay in March 2009

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa Encantada. This home is a tastefully decorated, colorful oasis. It was our first time to visit Tucson and the location was a perfect base for visiting the Desert Museum, the downtown art district area and Mission San Xavier del Bac. We're not foodies but the kitchen is obviously very well-equipped for anyone who does love to cook. The highlight moment of our stay was watching the sun set from the rooftop with icy margaritas in hand.

      sunsets from the rooftop patio

Left on 03/09/2010 for a stay in March 2009

My husband and I just had one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a
long time. Your home is comfortable both inside and out, especially with it's
lovely south western decorative and landscaping touches. We really fell in
love with the regional ambience from here with it's spectacular mountainous
backdrop. On our first day we sipped margaritas on the roof top patio while
watching the sun set over the serenity of the desert surrounding us - an
exceptional memory we share with our friends .

One of the best things about this home is how well it is taken care of by its
owners - clean and with all the amenities one would need for relaxation and
entertaining. This is a house and vacation spot that we hope to return soon
      and often. Highly recommended!

A wonderful get-away in a lovely, serene home set in a beautifu

Left on 03/01/2010 for a stay in March 2007

Surrounded by the desert, this very special home is a beautiful place to enjoy
the amenities of the quietness of the desert, the amazing Tucson Mt. and the
gorgeous Sunsets from the patio. This Casa has the character of Arizona with
beautiful, comfortable furnishing and an updated, well equipped kitchen. We
were amazed how close we were to downtown Tucson and many special sites
      of this area.

This is a perfect place for a romantic interlude, as well as a ideal home for
families. Casa Encantada has everything for a wonderful vacation. We look
forward to returning in the near future.
