It is nicely decorated, with a beautiful view of the tranquil Euro-style courtyard and lush tropical garden. It has high ceilings and 2 fans. Well equipped kitchenette with quality dinnerware and silverware, a luxurious bathroom with hand tiled hot water shower and glass block design. Posada Yum Kin is located in a very quiet area, just a 10 minute walk to downtown or a 10 minute drive to Tulum's world famous beaches, the Mayan archaelogical site or the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
Please drive along Carretera Federal #307 from Cancun, approximately 81 miles or 130 km and once in Tulum turn right on Avenida Cobá, at the street lights, you'll see San Francisco Supermarket on your right. Drive half a mile and turn left on first paved road, you'll see My Bodega Aurrera Supermarket on the corner, drive 0.6 miles until paved road, turn right, make 1 block, turn right again and drive 3 more blocks until you see Yum Kin's white facade on your left.

  Pyk is a gem! I stayed for a week with three girlfriends and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The rooms are unique and lovely; clean and simple, with thoughtful touches. A spiral staircase and little bridges wind through lush trees, plants and flowers, so each room feels quite private.
  
  Pyk is located in a neighborhood which is an 8 minute walk from town and a 15 minute bike-ride (or quick cab-ride) from the beach... though we white girls definitely stood out while walking on the dirt road to the main strip, we felt completely safe and, in fact, welcomed by locals. The beachfront scene is fun, however we believed we got a richer experience by staying a bit off the beaten path. It is so easy to get around Tulum (by foot, bike, or cab), so we were grateful to see it all and to save a buck, too.
  
  The PYK staff is so kind. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning (coffee, fresh-squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, toast and honey) and came home to a clean room every day (they even washed our dishes!). We hope to return next year!
