      Vacation of a lifetime

Left on 06/03/2013 for a stay in May 2013

We had a group of 12 friends (age 26-33) that traveled from all over the USa for a 1 week stay at CBS . It was the vacation of a lifetime. Our stay far exceeded all of our expectations. The house and property are absolutely amazing. We took full advantage of all of the amenities including ping pong, kayaking, hammocks, board games, rooftop patio, and more. The pool was always clean and refreshing. The beach is very pretty but a bit rocky, so I would recommend some water shoes.
I can not say enough about the staff. Hugo, the house manager, was very attentive and an absolute pleasure. His smile and positive demeanor are infectious. He made sure all of our needs were met. He arranged transportation for us for a couple of excursions and also arranged massage services at the house for several of us that were interested. He always offered to pick up any miscellaneous items we may have needed when he went into town. The chefs, Jose and amalio, were incredible. The ceviche, fresh salsa, and chile rellenos were some of our favorites. I find myself missing the food every day. The chefs will make whatever you request, and you will not be disappointed.
I would recommend Casa Buena Suerte to anyone looking for a more private retreat. It was like having a resort all to yourselves! We would love to return someday for a Casa Buena Suerte reunion.

Left on 05/29/2013 for a stay in May 2013

I spent 1 week at CBS with 10 friends and my wife in may of 2013. I speak for us all when I say we had a blast. The grounds are extremely private and quiet with a view of a small bay that you only share with a handful of locations along the beach. The house is spacious with a great set up and nice rooms. We took advantage of exery square inch of the grounds, from the rooftop deck to the pool and beach.

The staff is amazing. Hugo the property manager was an absolute blast. He was also extremely attentive and always made sure to ask that we had what we needed/wanted. The chefs were outstanding. They made us everything we asked for and the food was incredible. (i reccomend chillis rellenos, they were my favorite).

I have never been on vacation in another counrty and felt contect to stay in one spot. Besides 1 day to Xplor we spent every minute at the house enjoying its peace and comfort.

If your considering going, dont consider it anymore, book the trip, you will be glad you did. I know that I speak for all 11 other members of ours when I say it was a 10 out of 10.

      Wish I was still there...

We arrived at Casa Buena Suerte with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids ages 6-9. As we were treated and shown around by the lovely Hugo we couldn't get over how beautiful and well thought out the whole property is. The staff is fantastic, the chef service and food was well worth the expense of not having to cook for a large group. Delicious. Just as important was how much fun the kids had in the pool and in the bay. Iguanas and various types of crabs added to their fun. Each bedroom was so comfortable with with its own lovely bathroom. I cannot say enough about this special place!!

Left on 03/31/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Casa Buena Suerte in person is better than the pictures as others' have stated. The house is 5 star with a wonderful staff and fully loaded with amenities to keep you entertained. Splitting up for activities, we had people hanging at the house everyday to enjoy the beautiful space and atmosphere. The bedrooms are spacious and inviting. The common areas are plentiful so that everyone can find a nook for themselves when they want some personal space but large enough when everyone wants to be together. And really nice to be able to utilize different parts of the property for meals and cocktails etc... The meal planning was easy and food delicious (still miss the fresh guac and salsa) We planned for chef service of all meals, but upon arrival decided that breakfast was easier and more fun to do on our own. (the staff arrived by the time we were done each morning so clean up was on them- very nice!) We also decided to have dinner out one night as well some lunches - so plan accordingly. The staff was accommodating to all of our requests, especially on the night of the 50th celebration which was a formal multi-course plated meal.

The location was terrific for everything we wanted to do on this holiday. mayan reunions, snorkeling, great golf course within 10 minutes, shopping, dining with live music and dancing and of course beach time with the private beach perfect for just lounging in the hammocks and beach chairs with Tulum beaches nearby much recommended for a day of swimming. We had the yoga instructor to the house as well the luxury of the masseuse. He was better than the service provided at a near by resort spa. The cove has a great boutique hotel with a good restaurant and there is a fish shack dive down the beach as well.
Note the house is 1 1/2 hours from Cancun and you will be so happy to be away from all the tourists and cruise ships down there!
We had lots of options when planning this celebration and I am so glad that we found Buena Suerte!

      Beautiful house, great vacation

Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We just spent a week at Casa Buena Suerte. We were a mixed age group: from 70+ to a 10 month old. We all had a great time. The staff is extremely attentive and willing to please, and that is a lot to say with so many different wishes. Hugo solves every wish you come up with, José cooks so well, you never want to go elsewhere. Sofia made our breakfasts perfect: from freshly pressed orange juice to real "huevos rancheros" with freshly made tortillas (Hugo again, he finds anything you want) plus she kept the house perfectly clean. Aurelio kept the grounds spotless, from sunrise to sundown, no matter how strong the winds. He also got fresh coconuts for the youngsters. In one word, this was a vacation in paradise!

      An idyllic experience

Left on 02/22/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We stayed at CBS for a week. My wife and I brought our two children with their significant others and our grandson. From the enthusiastic greeting by Hugo and the entire staff until our somewhat sad goodbye, it was a superlative experience. We have rented properties all over the world and I can honestly say this was the first place that had absolutely everything I desired without compromise.

The house and grounds are wonderful, relaxing and idyllic. The are immaculately maintained by the cheerful, helpful and gracious staff. We hired Jose as our cook and everyone agreed we should try to get him to come home with us! Hugo went out of his way for us.

The Bay is quiet and beautiful. There is a small but very pretty hotel a short walk away with a very nice bar extending out to the beach. There are many activities to be pursued in the area (within a drive) but, to be honest, I never actually even made it to the front yard during our stay. I was perfectly content with the house, the grounds and the bay.

      Casa Buena Suerte
Our extended family of nine had pleasure of staying at Casa Buena Suerte for the first week of December. Words do not do this exceptional villa justice. Casa Buena Suerte is truly an incomparable paradise.

The ocean at Casa Buena Suerte is brilliantly-colored, warm, shallow and inviting. There is excellent snorkeling just offshore, which is literally at your backdoor We saw several turtles, colorful reef fish and rays every day. It was serene and safe. An added bonus, the multiple house kayaks that are provided are perfect for exploring the beauty of the bay.

Equally impressive is the villa itself. It is an amazing and luxurious house by any standard, yet it was still comfortable and approachable enough to completely feel like "home" for our all too brief stay. It is also immaculately maintained and leaves nothing to be desired. The many gorgeous bathrooms and bedrooms with high-quality linens and bedding are very tastefully designed and decorated. The thoughtfully provided poolside closet is expansive and contains many essential items you may leave at home such as beach toys, water shoes, life vests, pool rafts, and much more.

Casa Buena Suerte has many incredible outdoor seating areas. There is the outdoor table area where we sat every night to play games and talk; there is the beachside patio outside the palapa suite where we had our coffee and breakfast every morning; there is the rooftop deck where we had cocktails and watched the sun set over the bird sanctuary behind the house every night; and then there is the private hammock palapa on the beach where everyone fell asleep at least once listening to the quiet rhythm of Soliman Bay.

How can it possibly get better one may ask? The villa's exceptional staff are amazing assets.

Casa Buena Suerte is clearly in a league of its own.

      Perfect Beyond Expectations

Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in June 2010

This review has taken too long for me to write. We actually were there during the "Swine Flu" pandemic in 2009. There was supposed to be 12 of us going and at the last minute my family wanted to back out. I called Marc and discussed the situation with him. He said that the locals needed tourists there, as this was there main source of income. He was wonderful to work with and we eventually came to an agreement that worked for us, him, and the locals. I read one review, or forum post, about the deposit. Have no fears as Marc is fantastic to work with and we had no issues with the deposit!!! We were excited to go!!

Upon arriving we were blown away at the immediate beauty of Casa Buena Suerte!! We beeped the horn and the gate opened and out stepped Hugo, the property manager, to greet us and lend a hand unloading. When we walked through the gate we all started laughing as we couldn't believe that his place was ours for the week. It ended up that just the four of us (My wife, our two teenagers, and myself) in this enormous estate. We walked the grounds and were in awe of everything. From the outside dining area, to the infinity pool, to the gorgeous beach looking out to Solomon Bay. Everything was perfect and we hadn't even entered the house.

Upon entering the house, we again started laughing at the fact that there were only four of us in this enormous house. Hugo showed us around and the first thing he showed us was the fully stocked kitchen. My teenagers went crazy as they have never come to a rental house that already had food :) We went upstairs and the kids started picking their bedrooms. Everyone got a King size bed and the kids were elated at the room selection. My daughter chose the room that had the en suite bathroom and my wife chose the bedroom en suite with the soaking tub. Every detail in this house is perfect!! Marc has done an incredible job of decorating and making it feel homey and not pretentious at all.

The kids were excited to hit the beach!! We suited up and slapped the sunscreen on and ran to the beach. The fantastic thing about this place is the fact that there are toys there. We grabbed the sea kayaks several times and paddles out the the buoy. Once we tied up the kayaks, we jumped in and snorkeled around the reef. The snorkeling is amazing out there and we saw sea turtles, rays, and tons of fish!! We couldn't believe this was right outside the house. The one thing is the turtle grass and it is a little rocky. I read somewhere that they are cleaning the water access up a little and this would make a huge difference for family's with little kids to play in the water.

All-in-all this area is a great area for everything. We are scuba divers and found Maya Diving at the Dreams Tulum Spa and Resort down the road. Great shop and super friendly staff. They certified my daughter while we were there and did a great job making sure she was comfortable in the water. Of course the Tulum ruins are within a close proximity as well. Great location for a family vacation!!!

I can't sign off without mentioning Hugo. He has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is there for you every step of the way. We were eating dinner one day and he came in and said that there was an aardvark running along the wall. Sure enough, the kids got a kick out of seeing an aardvark up close and personal. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and Hugo shows up with a cake and started singing happy birthday. That was priceless!! He will get groceries for you, he will arrange for the chefs to come in and cook for you, he will...well pretty much do anything within reason. We had a great time with him and treated him like part of the family.

      Hidden Oasis

Left on 12/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Europe and recently vacationed at Casa Buena Suerte. We were immediately enchanted by stunning surroundings of the beautiful outdoor spaces and breathtaking views from every angle of the property. The villa is decorated with an amazing combination of class and sophistication yet warm and comforting. From the time we arrived we were greeted by the endless breeze and impeccably attentive staff. The infinity pool melts into the spectacular beach. A step down from the pool area, is a pristine cove perfect for sun bathing, swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. We felt as if we were on our own private island. The water was calm for snorkeling with great visibly and countless variety of sea life. They have one man and two man kayaks available for guests to explore the coves edge or the open water. The Palapa was our room of choice with an endless breeze and sounds of the ocean just feet away.

We agreed that Casa Buena Suerte has been our favorite beach vacation. It is a gem and we cannot wait to bring friends and family to share this hidden oasis.

      Just Fantastic - Unique Experience

Left on 07/29/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We just returned from a two weeks family vacation at Casa Buena Suerte (3 kids and infant, with spouse and extended family).

The Villa is unique and situated in a calm and private bay (Soliman Bay). The house is recently build and modern with an amazing infinity pool. With all the comfort that a villa should provide, the staff is great and welcoming. Hugo the manager loves kids and does everything he can to make the stay pleasant and easy. Jose and Philippe are extraordinary chefs. If you like to eat well and are used to European cuisine, I am sure you are not expecting a fine culinary experience in Mexico. Well, you will be wrong, as the chef prepared typical Mexican dish with refinement, freshness and details. They will care to all of your preferences and dietary needs. Every night they prepared something simpler for the kids and refine meal for adults.

Each room is well decorated and luxurious, the beds are comfortable and house cleaning is well done everyday. ( except Sundays)

The sea is beautiful and with 3 kayaks, you can go out in the bay to do some snorkeling. As the bay is a mix of sand and rock, while the beach is nice, you can not expect to go into the sea bear feet on sand. In front of the Villa, the bottom of the sea is rock, so shoes are required. The infinity pool certainly compensates for that and if you go further out in the bay, with water to your hips, the bottom is sand.

We will go back and I would recommend this villa to anyone.

My wife and I got married at Casa Buena Suerte on March 17, 2012, and everything about it was absolutely amazing. The premises are beautiful, the house is very spacious and nicely appointed. The outdoor space and pool are particularly special, and we enjoyed much time relaxing out there with our guests. The roof deck is very cool as well. As for the staff, I can't emphasize enough how incredible they are. The level of service was first class and everyone was so friendly and helpful, often going above and beyond what was expected. The food was delicious and we found ourselves wanting to stay at the house and eat rather than go out. In short, the villa and it's staff exceeded our expectations and we can recommend it highly without hesitation.

      Great Vacation Spot!

Left on 03/11/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Right from the beginning we knew that this trip was going to be spectacular, not only because of how awesome the place looked from the website but by how much care and attention Marc put into ensuring we were going to be looked after while on vacation!
From the moment we stepped off the plane we were welcomed by David from Motmot tours, who suggested to us by Marc and I think this was truly the way to go. We arrived late that night to CBS and were welcomed by Hugo the house manager. Aside from the obvious beauty of the actual home our group immediately took to Hugo's contagiously happy personality! Upon the sun rising the next day we actually got see what paradise really looked like in the day light, breathtaking! It did not take our family long to get on the kayak's to explore Soliman Bay and be astonished by the marine life only a short 5-minute paddle to the reef. The snorkeling at the reef was amazing, how often can you see sting rays, turtles, and multiple brilliantly coloured fish and a barracuda, 5 minutes after getting out of bed?
The house, staff and location was why we booked this trip we still had to venture out to see some sights, which having Hugo to arrange it and David to pick us up made this effortless. We took full advantage of Cbs's great location to enjoy the fantastic beaches and activities suggested by Marc and the CBS staff. One of the excursions included a day trip to Cozumel to do some sightseeing and diving for a few of us. After our first wall dive we were headed back to the beach club and on the way our guide at Scuba Tony's noticed a pod of Dolphins. They got the boat near them and we were able to jump in and swim with them. Seeing the visible excitement from our dive master and her explanation of how rare this occurrence was that we were swimming with "wild” dolphins, actually one of them even was playing with us, what an experience!

Marc the owner was very easy to work with from beginning to end. Set us up with cooks, drivers, recommendations for activities and dining, above and beyond what I expected. Have been a member of ER travel club and this was equal to service and amenities. Love the over all location but the mile and half drive off the highway is a little ruff, but worth it. Hope to return soon.

      The perfect Mexican vacation home!

Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in January 2011

We cannot say enough good things about our week at Casa Buena Suerte. It was fantastic. The house and the grounds were beautiful and immaculately maintained. The seating area outside on the lanai was our favorite. We would gather in the morning for coffee and usually for cocktails before dinner.
We were not quite sure what to expect from the food. Boy were we surprised. The food was unbelievable. Not only the flavorful taste but the presentation was always perfect. Even our lunches were gourmet. The salads and the home made touches were always a surprise. Did I mention the desserts. Wow! Jose and George were great chefs, met every need and exceeded every expectation. The Fish tacos for lunch were the best we ever had and were our favorite.
From David and his crew picking us up from the airport to our final toast with the house staff, we had a most enjoyable vacation and could not recommend Casa Buena Suerte enough. Thanks for the champagne and making the house so inviting. Can't wait to return!

14 of us stayed in the lovely Casa Buena Suerte this year. The services were those of an all-inclusive resort, including daily maid service and chef services. We love our time at CBS because we are treated as family, no request was ever out of the question. The property is beautiful and lovingly cared for. We are 15 minutes outside Tulum, close to the grocery store and restaurants, but no one ever wanted to leave!!! If you are looking for a laid-back, care free vacation this is the place to go!

Our third recent trip to Casa Buena Suerte was (something none of us thought possible) our best yet. The gardens have become so lush there are even more intimate nooks to escape to with a good book. The natural beauty of Soleiman Bay coupled with the grace and lavishness of the villa make one feel like you died and went to heaven! We ate in more frequently this time, (not wanting to leave even for an evening) and were impressed with the professional Chef Jose. He made a different meal every night and each one was delicious. To gather around the beautiful stone table inside or outside in the sunken dining room under the stars and arbor, after sunset cocktails on the roof deck, made the perfect finish to each glorious day. Hugo, the manager was there for any little thing our hearts desired, filling in the blanks discreetly and kindly, Sophia served us the best breakfasts and quietly cleaned and straightened up our mess, Aurelio watered and cleaned the infinity pool, raked the beach and fluffed the cushions!! We all agreed we had never enjoyed a week more. The Thorwarth clan, who never agrees on anything, voted unanimously to book for 2012. Thank you CBS, Mary Thorwarth

We stayed at the Villa with a group of 5 couples. Every day exceeded the one before. The house was beautiful from top to bottom. Meticulously cared for and decorated. Each bedroom suite was equally comfortable and enjoyable. The Property had all the benefits of an all-inclusive resort with the privacy and flexibility of being home. The staff was willing to cater to our every need and went out of their way to make a birthday celebration extremely special. Hugo was there to greet us with a smile and frozen pina coladas and continued to see that all of our needs were meet throughout our stay. Sophia started our day off right with fresh juice and breakfast. The crowning glory was Jose and his assistant who made each meal a 5 star dining experience. Not only were the meals delicious but they were prepared with love. Not to be forgotten was the beauty and serenity of the beach and surroundings. Having Massages on the beach in front of the palapa was a slice of heaven. We each left a piece of our heart at Casa Buena Suerte and took with us memories that will last a lifetime. Marc the owner is to be commended for his professional and courteous manner in which he handled everything from initial inquiry to departure day and check-in's during our stay. No detail was left undone. We can't wait to return someday soon.

      Indescribable...but I'll try

Left on 10/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Casa Buena Suerte in Soliman Bay is the perfect destination for a family vacation. We spent the last week here and we are just heartbroken to leave. We have enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling with the entire family; we have been exhausted at the end of each day and awaken refreshed each morning ready for another day of water and sun. Sofia greets us each day with fresh squeezed orange juice and pancakes or french toast - what a joy to have someone do this for us and with such a sweet smile. Hugo has made wonderful suggestions and is always there with whatever we may need. We rent vacation homes frequently but some of the amenities were an unexpected surprise; more typical of a boutique hotel than a rental home. The house itself has enough space for four or five families. The house would work well for children of any age; plenty of space for toddlers or young kids to play and enough rooms for older kids to find privacy when preferred. The palapa is the perfect place for a couple without kids who might be joining a larger group (or for in-laws who prefer some time to themselves). There's a lovely sea breeze so we can really enjoy the beach. It's like a private beach club where we are the only members and the weather has been perfect! Overall, I would say this has been one of the best vacations we have ever had and I look forward to coming back soon.

I was recently married at the Casa Buena Suerte and it was amazing. We stayed for the week in this beautiful home. Everything exceeded our expectations from the staff to the place itself. The beach was the ideal space for us to have the ceremony and the backdrop of the ocean only added to the beauty. The staff was excellent. All went above and beyond and treated us like family. Jose cooked for us during our stay and the food was great. My favorite thing he made was the ceviche but all of the food was fresh and delicious. He also prepared our wedding dinner and we received so may compliments from our guests. Hugo may very well be the best person I have met in a long time. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. He spent time with our family and friends and we really enjoyed getting to know him. The house was beautiful. There was so much detail in the decor and construction. The infinity pool was a definite plus and we spent much time in it. The snorkeling was also amazing. Many of us spent a good portion of the trip in the water exploring the reef and all of the marine life. Overall, we had an amazing trip and made lasting memories. I can not wait to return to the Casa Buena Suerte! Thank you again, Marc, Hugo, and staff for everything and making this the wedding of a lifetime!

Casa Buena Suerte undoubtedly surpasses most if not all of any upscale choice of a Riviera Maya villa experience. From the meticulous and artistic design of her architecture to the pallette locale of Soliman Bay, the oppurtunity of living this dream holds no contest for travellers to Mexico who want the best, and yet enjoy a natural and unpretentious getaway. It's true, the photos do not lend justice to being there. Exclusive and secluded, Casa Buena Suerte transports one to an incomparable and personalized paradise -- from the daily wake-up call of the black "mirlos" to the predawn tropical rain showers to the lulling breezes of the Caribbean sea and the quiet rustle of swaying palm trees -- each moment contained its own magic, each senses' appetite satiated in wonder and beautiful calmth and peace. The mission design of the building is like a painting in visual glances from up on the rooftop deck to peering down the walkways from the sea. Except you are in the painting! For those who prefer true beauty in art and culture, Casa Buena Suerte will not disappoint. We were mesmerized from the moment of our arrival by both the exterior and the interior design. Every room displays unique charm. Every bedroom suite retains its own flair where no one argued over which room to occupy as all of them are gorgeous and luxurious -- , and of course the palapa is a special place at the beachfront, perfected with true island feel. The cultivated yet natural landscape, and the accommodations allowed each passing minute to peel away the layers of the stresses of daily living stateside, -- and most appreciated, -- slowed the sands of time. The employed staff were gracious, always available and yet non-intrusive. We had many laughs and learned much from them. The amenities were top-notch, the food sublime. The views of the bay, and walks to the points enriched the experience. Along with kayaking and snorkeling, these were inspiring and invigorating activities without having to leave the bay. Needless to say, the infinity pool was simply divine and refreshing after sunbathing on the beach or the seaside deck. The property's owner obviously takes great care in providing guests with impeccable service, safety and comfort. The property manager/ concierge Hugo was protective, interpretive, smart, and ever-accommodating -- brimming with honest and value-conscious advice when planning excursions. Our delightful housekeeper, Sofia, provided a relaxing nuance while maintaining a clean environment and prepared simple, but wonderful, breakfasts. Her "cantarinas" were endearing to hear. The chef was both humble and masterful at preparing local and international culinary requests. His incredible pico de gallo was a staple at every meal. The Mayan Chicken was out of this world as well as his expertise at preparing fish dishes. The pool and beachman aurelio was dutiful and always had a smile in passing. With great thanks for a stupendous time, I have to say, the best vacations are the most diffiuclt to end and I admit a solemn tear emerged as we pulled away to leave this gorgeous paradise adventure. Thank you Casa Buena Suerte. Vamos a volver!

We just got home from a great getaway week at Casa Buena Suerte. My family and friends were completely overcome with joy as we
entered this fabulous property. The photos simply do not do it justice. The property is so beautiful and well maintained it takes your breath away.
We stayed in the Palapa Suite and that in itself was such a treat; each morning we awakened to the sea and the gentle waves at our feet. We had
coffee in our suite and then joined our group for breakfast. The staff is warm and curteous, the accommodations fantastic and the beach is total bliss.
We enjoyed visiting the Tulum Ruins and a sailboat ride on the Caribbean - the staff was very helpful in arranging this for us.
I would highly reccommend this villa!

My family and I experienced a private river cruise in France last year and much to my surprise, our week at CBS was just as enjoyable. Our biggest surprise was the private chef. We enjoyed fresh caught local fish and authentic Mexican and Mayan specialties, all presented magnificently and all delicious! The staff could not have been more delightful from the warm welcome to the spotless upkeep of the villa and the grounds. My wife is very conscious of cleanliness. Our kids are always crawling around, so we really appreciate when our environment is well kept. The overall experience was so delightful that we have already started to talk about our next visit. Fantastic Pool!

Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in July 2011

As a swimmer I have to say that the pool at Casa Buena Suerte is fantastic! I swim 50 laps every morning at home and I really appreciate a big swimming pool. The pool was great for my laps in the morning and perfect for our kids in the afternoon. The surface of the pool is smooth cobalt blue tile and there's an extended shallow end so the kids can feel safe while the adults enjoy the deeper end. We enjoyed going out in the kayaks; the sea is clear and blue and we were able to tie the kayaks up to a buoy to go snorkeling. The location is awesome -we saw squid, stingrays, barracuda and sea turtles. Back on shore, we appreciated the expert staff and the obvious planning that went into the creation of the villa.

There are areas for reading, relaxing, dining & entertaining and there's plenty of space so you can have a massage in total privacy. The villa has a great spa menu and the two massage therapists that we used were wonderful. We loved it and hope to return very soon!

Family Vacation at Casa Buena Suerte

Left on 06/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011

I can hardly express how much we enjoyed our trip to the Mayan Riviera and especially Casa Buena Suerte. It more than met our expectations. Each room in the common areas was beautifully laid out, the bedroom suites were luxurious and the outside of the property was the best. The kids lived in the pool. I'm sure, if there were neighbors, they had an earful of games of tag & 500. The website is very good and we had a good idea of what the place was like, but photos and descriptions cannot capture the essence of being there. When we entered the gate, we were blown away with the overall effect of the grounds. It was breathtaking!! But the very best part of the house is the staff. They were so friendly and helpful in every way. It seemed that we could just mention something and Hugo would be there to take care of it. He even arranged for a birthday cake for our son-in-law, candles and all. Sophia had her hands full with our big group, but shw did an excellent job of keeping the place clean. My daughter with the 16-month old couldn't believe that she didn't have to wash a bottle the whole week. Each staff member played particular attention to our little Carolyn, and she ate it up. Even Jose filled her bottle for her to her delight. Jose and Jesus became dear friends as well. We wanted to bring them home to Texas with us. The meals were so delicious and so easy. It's difficult to take 6 children out to restaurants. Having the chef service became the highlight of the trip. Thanks, also, for recommending David to us. We used his transfer service and also took a snorkel trip with him. He was most courteous and showed a lot of patience with such a large group. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Left on 03/01/2011 for a stay in February 2011

We stayed in this gorgeous house with our complete family of 11, 7 adults and 4 children in February. And no wonder that everyone enjoyed this get-together to the full! The house is a beautifully designed hacienda with spacious bedrooms and a large open living space, all furnished with an amazing attention to detail. There are so many different outdoor terraces that it is difficult to choose from. Lounge chairs are everywhere from the rooftop to the beach and the swimming-pool. The location is perfect directly on the bay. And then there is the real asset of the house, the staff. Housekeeper Hugo, who will go out of his way to make your stay unforgettable. Sophia who prepares your breakfast and keeps the house clean and aurelio who takes care of the outdoors. On top of that we had gourmet chef Jose preparing the most exquisite lunches and dinners. Apart from enjoying everything at and around the house we visited the Mayan ruins of Tulum and went to XelHa and Hidden Worlds which are all close by and very worthwhile to see and enjoy.
All-in-all a wonderful experience for the entire family, much better than any major resort can offer. It is easier for the parents to keep an eye on your children while they have plenty of things to enjoy: the beautiful pool, the beach, the bay, the kayaks or the hammocks. And it is so much more personal. We have seen many different parts of the world but this was certainly a dream vacation that has topped all expectations!

A few friends and I stayed at Casa Buena Suerte in February and it was a dream escape from rainy London! The house is absolutely beautiful and the amenities are of a 5 star hotel if not better. Each bedroom/bathroom suite was spacious, comfortable, peaceful and with fantastic views. The beach is calm, quiet and gorgeous, and there is tons of space both inside and outside to hang out with your fellow guests. I especially loved the awesome roof deck with lounge couches and hammocks.

The staff at the house is courteous and helpful, and the chef cooks delicious food- an entire lobster feast one night that was so fresh and so good.

It was absolutely perfect for what all my family was dreaming of. Perfect isolated secure bay, a lovely new large villa with everything we ever needed, and a perfect, wonderful, comfortable staff. We basically never left the villa. We did do the ruins, very nice. Otherwise never got out of ours suits. The bay and snorkling was fine for what my family needed. I liked the calm, very clear water. Beach is rock and shells, but we liked it that way. Sand very clean. Got lucky on wheather. Windy. Villa was 10++. Had chef service which was invaluable for 14 people, great. The manager on site became a member of the family. He was perfect in every way. For what we wanted it was PERFECT. We are ready to return today. RD

Casa Buena Suerte is a beautiful home on a quiet, lovely bay in the Mayan Riviera. It was a perfect place for our family of 8 to relax and spend the week together. The home itself is so gorgeous; beautifully decorated and has every amenity you could imagine. Hugo is there to greet you and he is available to help with anything for the entire time you are there. His "wife" Chubie, who is a sweet lab, loves to play with guests. Sophia and the rest of the staff do a great job to make sure that you never have to lift a finger during your vacation. You must get Jose to come and cook for you. He is not just a cook; he is an amazing chef and he will make anything you want and present it in a perfect way. You must try his lobster!!!! With Jose there, there is no reason to go out to eat. The bay is beautiful, the water is very shallow and clear, but you will definitely need water shoes, as it is quite rocky and there is lots of sea grass. The snorkelling out in the bay is good; our son saw an eagle ray, which is quite uncommon.
All in all, Casa Buena Suerte is a great place to go to unwind, relax, and be pampered for a few days. You will not be disappointed.

Terrifically Hospitable. Comfortable Hacienda. Well Planned Property. The Beach was great to walk along, there were very few people and I loved shell hunting. If you must leave this refuge during your stay, there is a short drive to shopping AND very kool Temples and ruins. I am not a spicy food person, the restaurants we went to were very accomodating to my sensitivity. All special requests at Casa Buena Suerte were handled with the greatest of ease, and the food was Fresh, carefully washed and prepared and it was delicious. Sunny Perfectly Warm Weather. Private Infinity Pool. Palm Trees. It was an easy drive from the airport. It is a perfect excuse for a decamp. BOOK IT! (Not when I want to go)

Solimon Bay hacienda experience worth stay at Casa Buena Suerte.

Left on 01/16/2010 for a stay in August 2008

It’s hard to enumerate the things that make Casa Buena Suerte so special. Is it the genuinely sincere and affable greeting you receive from Hugo (the house manager)when you arrive at this Soliman Bay gem? Is it the striking lush landscaping? Or perhaps the infinity pool with its the un-freaking believable view of the emerald blue bay? Oh, and then there’s the house.
The hacienda-style house has five bedrooms, all master suites, each as nice as the next. We stayed in the room above the casita and had a view of the bay and the cenote wetlands to the west. Watching the sun come up and sun set from the same room was ethereal. This room had satellite television, as did the suite adjacent to it. The other rooms were sans TV and frankly the tube was not missed.
We love the design, so true to Mexican architecture and culture. The outside of the casa is an alluring dark pink, almost magenta, and it is topped with a 360-degree rooftop patio. Enjoy your cocktails from here at sunset. The beach side of the property features an outdoor kitchen and living room, a palapa bedroom right on the water (the sixth BR), a fountain, and of course the stunning pool. Then there’s the inside.
The interior features a two-story living room with a huge flat-screen TV. There’s an ample DVD collection to choose from, or watch the Satellite from the wrap-around couch. The dining room table features a piece of local marble that is illuminated from beneath. Brilliant! Or you can watch Sofia or Jose cook from the marble counter in the kitchen.
We loved our visit to the ruins at Muyil, about 30K south of Tulum, and the ruins in Tulum, too. The town is quaint, the locals friendly, the restaurants ample and inviting. I’m glad I took the time to meet some local folks, all of whom are proud of this tiny Mayan village.

HOW MANY SHADES OF BLUE ARE THERE?

Left on 01/15/2010 for a stay in October 2008

The aqua blue of the shimmering sea, the sapphire blue blue of the sheltering sky, the cobalt blue of shadows dancing on the infinity swimming pool, the silver blue of the cascading fountains...the deepening blue of dusk descending like a dream into midnight blue. All set off by the brilliance of white sand and exquisitly tended green grass, tropical blossoms, welcoming hammocks, converstion areas, outdoor dining, sheer relaxation.
And this is only the setting for Casa Buena Suerte, truly a palatial paradise, a temple of luxury and exquisite design, craftsmanship and decor, where your every wish and whim is instantly gratified by a staff with one objective: your comfort and enjoyment.
Spacious luxurious bedroom suites with equally luxurious adjoining baths...balconies for enjoying morning coffee while gazing out to sea and planning the days activities... a rooftop salon for stargazing.
The perfect and perfectly stunning vacation spot, bound to elicit exclamations of "I can't believe how fabulous this is!"
      BELIEVE IT.

      Rest and Relaxation in Paradise!

Left on 01/15/2010 for a stay in January 2010

Casa Beuna Suerte is a luxurious home located in a little piece of paradise. what I like best about staying there is you get the amenities of a five star hotel without all the people. We got three meals a day, Jose was a wonderful cook and we got to sample lots of authentic mexican food. The 5 bedroom house was cleaned daily and they even had beach towels for us to use. The location is great you are close to lots of graet places: theruins at tulum(they have a beautiful beach too), Akumal for snokeling and diving, Hidden Worlds cenote park, Xel-ha, and next time we want to check out Xplore. There is lots to do but if you need to relax you can take your favorite book and a towel and head out to you private white sandy beach on the shores of the most beautiful blue water.

Prior to our stay we had spent 9 years vacationing in St Barts however after you experience this magnificent place it will become your number one vacation spot as well.
I have traveled the world and the attention to details at this villa are incredible. One does not know which part of the stay is better the outdoor living or inside. Casa Buena Suerte is truly a four plus star experience.

      LUXURY ON THE SOLIMON BAY

Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in May 2009

PART 1: Staying at Casa Buena Suerte was one of the best experiences of our lives. My husband and I spent our 10 year anniversary on Solimon Bay at Casa Buene Suerte (CBS).
We flew Jet Blue into Cancun, rented a car and drove to CBS. We pulled up to a gated home and were met by Hugo the houseman and chubie (the home’s sweet yellow Labrador retriever). Hugo is a warm sweet man that you will instantly fall in love with, who cannot do enough to make your stay perfection. When the gates opened, we could not believe our eyes, it was like a shan-gri-la! We saw a sumptuous swimming pool, and beyond the bluest water you can imagine, all surrounded by palm trees, fountains, and beautiful greenery. We went into the house, and were thrilled to see a giant open living space, a gorgeous (fully stocked) kitchen, and dining space – only to be surpassed by our bedroom. We entered a comfortable room with a giant vaulted ceiling, huge bed, big bathroom and dressing area – all with a large patio overlooking Solimon Bay. Casa Buena Suerte has all the amenities of a Four Seasons or a Rosewood, but the privacy of staying iyour own villa with a full staff.
We enjoyed breakfasts at the breakfast bar, with fresh fruit, pastries, coffee each morning. We then headed out to the beach for a long walk. We admired the bay, and enjoyed being together. We spent the days lounging by the pool or under the palapa reading.
Cocktails on the roof top deck were unforgettable. There are many things to do to fill your time during the days, from cave diving, to the eco water parks, to charming towns to explore. We had many lovely dinners. A couple were prepared by the chef at the villa, and we tried some terrific restaurants in the area. Every single day we had gorgeous weather, one day was more beautiful and perfect than the next. Not only the days are beautiful, but one of the most incredible things about Solimon Bay, and the surrounding areas, is the night sky. continued....

It was one of the most beautiful, relaxing, and unique vacations

Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in February 2009

I have had the fortunate opportunity to travel to some very special places in the world. Casa Buena Suerte is one of the best. From the moment we were greeted and walked through the front door of this magnificent house I knew we were about to start a most unique experience.

The open floor plan creates an atmosphere where the inside and outside flow seamlessly together. The beach and ocean are just steps away and if that's not enough, there's the awesome infinity pool. The huge outside patio has several different levels and areas to lounge about, cook at the outdoor kitchen, or swing in the hammocks listening to the waves and palm trees in the breeze.

Inside there is a very large gourmet kitchen where breakfast was prepared for us and served. My husband, who considers himself somewhat of a chef, loved preparing mid-afternoon surprise appetizers before heading to one of Tulum's great restaurants.

The bedrooms were more like suites; large, elegant and all with huge private baths. We had eight people in our group and each couple had their own private suite.

Hugo, who manages the property, was such a treat. He was there to help us with anything we might need or wish. One night he arranged for a private chef to come to the house and cook dinner for us. It was amazing. Fish caught that morning with local produce picked that day. And to finish it off,a coconut pie made with fresh coconut.

The views are spectacular from every vantage point but one of the best,is at the top of the house on the roof deck where you have a spectacular 360 view of your surroundings and the stars in the sky.

We stayed for one week, which wasn't enough. On our last day we were already talking about when to come back. We're hoping that will be this April. And we'll bring my 15 year old son this time. There's so much to do and see, he would love it!

I highly recommend Casa Buena Suerte. It's a place where young, old and everything in between will find a piece of heaven.

      Luxurious!!

Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in February 2009

What a wonderful week! We didn't want to leave.
This beachfront hacienda is everything a tropical vacation should be. From the beautifully designed outdoor living areas, to the interior spaces with high ceilings and contemporary decor.
Each bedroom is unique. Every one with great views, soft, luxurious beds, and large, contemporary bathrooms. Although each room is air-conditioned, it was so wonderful to open the windows and let the Gulf breezes blow through the room. We slept like babies, awakening each morning refreshed and ready for the delicious breakfast that awaited us in the kitchen. The staff was terrific. They attended to our rooms every day. Hugo was always available to assist us with all of our requests.
We arrived in the early afternoon, selected our rooms and went right to the infinity pool with a beverage to enjoy. Wow, what a pool. And what a great way to start a vacation.
If you can force yourself to leave this little piece of heaven, you can take the short drive into Tulum, where we found the most wonderful Italian restaurant. Some of the best Italian food you'll ever eat. We strolled, shopped, and absorbed the diverse Tulum vernacular. The nearby, beach-side Mayan ruins are amazing and definitely worth seeing.
Casa Buena Suerta is the perfect tropical paradise along the Riviera Maya. And while there was a lot to see and do within just a few kilometers, it was wonderful to spend our days just lounging by the pool sucking down tropical drinks and enjoying the best ceviche you'll ever have (made by a young couple just down the beach - ask Hugo about it).
Don't miss the roof patio. We did cocktails up there in the evening. Then after dinner it's the perfect place to gaze at the millions of stars. Amazing!
Be sure to have the chef prepare at least one meal for you while you're there. Although we enjoy cooking ourselves, it was nice to have a professional chef prepare a few native dishes.
We will be going back real soon.

      paradise

Left on 01/06/2010 for a stay in October 2009

Casa Buena Suerte was everything we expected and more. The house itself
is like a private boutique hotel. One bedroom is more beautiful than the
other. No one felt they had been shortchanged since all 5 bedrooms offered
something special, e.g bovida ceiling, individual terraces, shower under the
sky etc. The "public areas" are many and inviting. It is as easy to find a
shady corner with pivacy as it is to gather in either the comfortable outdoor
AND indoor living rooms with friends and family. Being foodies, we were
apprehensive about dining. The villa offers a changing daily buffet
breakfast, generous and delicious put out by the lovely Sophia who quietly
      appears daily .
A private chef is available for a very reasonable cost and cooked Caribbean
lobsters to celebrate our 60th birthday plus other delicious meals. It is also
easy and fun to go to Tulum where delicous and cheap restauants are open
serving all types of food from Thai to local Mexican; all offering great
people watching and beautiful views of the spectacular beach.
However, we were always happy to return to the quiet and privacy of our
own beach, pool, palapas & terraces from rooftop to beachfront and the
care of Hugo the concierge and manager. As a swimmer, I was blown away
by the size of the infinity pool. It is tiled sides and bottom in cobalt blue
against a beautiful earthy red wall. Undoubtely the most inviting pool I ever
experienced. Needless to say I spent many hours floating on the chaises
and sitting on the pool steps.
All 10 guests came away from this vacation feeling we had gotten more than
we ever expected for the price we paid. Our every need was anticipated and
the beauty of the villa and the surroundings all combined to make us feel
we were living like the rich and famous.
