Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013
we highly recommend this rental for romance or family get away. We had our family all 7 of us stay for a week and the location was great for Cenote exploring, Coral Beach and sea shell searching. In 15 minutes you are in Tulum the Mayan ruins or go in any direction and there is activities for everyone.Swimming on beautiful beaches snorkling and diving. The delicious food we preferred to eat at our Casa del Perla cooked by there wonderful team of Italy and Elias. The house was decorated so tastefully and a beautiful breeze cam thru so we never turned the aC on. It is as my daughter said built and designed with fen Shey in mind . Everything flowed in the home and there was space to be alone or play games together. We are returning next year for sure but 2 weeks this time one week is not enough time when there is so much to see and do.

Left on 02/26/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Our family of 4 adults and tree kids had a great time at Casa Perla, form the beginning dealing with Victor it was a pleasure. The moment we arrived it was relaxing just to enjoy walking around the house, got there with no problems, we we're there around 8pm and didn't have any groceries we decided to have dinner at Casa Cenote down the road, it was very nice on the water, feeling the breeze.
The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need,my bed was so comfortable! Nice bedding too!.
We had an issue with one of the bathrooms but it was fix promptly, and I personally didn't mind at all, I know that unespecting things can happen. Ita and Elias are so nice I spend time talking to them and I enjoyed their stories, maybe I talked too much... But they were very nice to us, she made dinner for us one day it was delicious! We had so much left over that we had it the next day!
The children enjoy the pool so much, my ten year old didn't want to get out until it was no light! The two little ones had fun it was very safe to be in the shallow end.
Casa perla is across from the beach, unfortunately is not for swimming, is very rocky and waves were height, but once we knew were the near beaches are is just a few minutes drive and you enjoy beautiful white sandy beach for the whole family! We enjoy Tulum town had a few dinners there. We did go to the places some guesss suggested and they were all very good!
I can't say good enough things about our memories at Casa Perla! It was amazing and can't wait to go back next year!!
Thank you, To Victor and his wife!!! -

The house was amazingly beautiful with great attention to detail - right down to the faucets! The private location facing the beach made for a relaxing time. Watching the sea turtles lay eggs at night was extra special! We bought 5 kids so having the beautiful pool was much appreciated. The home was a short drive to town of Tulum and all the pristine beaches and snorkeling. Italy's food was delicious although we did explore several of the small local restaurants for many meals. The weather was perfect at 80+/- with a few welcome evening showers. We look forward to going back.

Beautiful home with ocean and jungle views within easy driving distance of all the things you go to the Tulum area to do. Very comfortable while very well appointed. Original, gorgeous artwork, great linens, well stocked kitchen and really comfortable beds - no complaints! There is so much in the area to do during the day - beaches, cenotes, bird watching, you name it. It's a lovely home to come back to at the end of a full day. Hope to go back.

Had an incredible week vacation at the beautiful Casa Perla del Mar. The welcome was warm and inviting and the hostess, Patricia is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The home is brand new and decorated with the touch of warmth and class, I especially loved the colors, tiles and artwork. The home is laid out perfectly for big groups, families or a couple. Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves! Loved the proximity of the house to local restaurants and sonote as well as to Talum. You must have one of Italy's delicious dinners at home. The view of the ocean at the front of the house and of the jungle at the back is awesome - great balconies for all views!

Right from the start this vacation rental was so easy and relaxing. From booking to getting there. The house is exactly what you see and read on the web page. We had two young children who loved this house and all the adults also. Very safe, very comfortable and even more beautifull than the pictures. We took full advantage of the roof top views. The only thing I regret would be that my spanish could have been better for communicateing with Italy the house keeper and cook. She was wonderfull. Most of the time you wouldn't even know she was there. We plan on visiting Casa Perla again in the future, and are thankfull of the wonderfull memories we had there.

Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Perla del Mar at the end of January. In a word it was a spectacular.
The home is comfortable, beautifully appointed with fabulous, local artwork, hand crafted furniture, colorfully painted walls and outstanding tile work. Also, there is a beautiful pool, two outdoor living areas and a roof top balcony for star gazing and evening breezes.
In terms of location, it is ideal. Casa Perla is across the street from the beach and is a few doors down from local restaurants.
Not to be missed is having "Italy" the housekeeper prepare a meal or two for you. Her food cannot be beat. This is a must.
Still, there is plenty to do nearby. Tulum's ruins and beaches are 15 minutes away. There you will find great restaurants, gorgeous beaches and it is a great place to get a massage, take a yoga class or just hang out. The Biosphere is also near Tulum. Don't miss their kayak and boat tours of the lagoons and wild life.

28970Gorgeous House in the Mayan Riviera
Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in February 2012
I and a group of friends (all in our 30s) rented this house for a week. It's gorgeous, with Mexican tile and beautiful touches throughout the house, and spacious--with 2 large levels, 2 full kitchens, 4 bedrooms, and 4 full baths and two half-baths. There are lots of balconies to bird-watch, listen to the ocean waves, or just chill out with a drink.
We loved our time there but just go into it aware of the location. We wanted quiet, safe, and secluded (and it is!) but know that it's a good few miles drive to town or to the nicer beaches, so a rental car is a must. The house is about 3 kilometers from the main road. Along that road, about a kilometer up, is a fantastic cenote (bring your snorkel!) and a couple of restaurants. Our favorite find on that stretch was Tankah Inn, where we went for breakfast several mornings. The food was great and the view is beautiful...
As for beaches, seek out the beach at akumal (15-minute drive) and El Paraiso. Both will take your breath away...Enjoy! -

Left on 02/18/2012 for a stay in January 2012
A total of six women shared an extraordinary six days in this fabulous, colorful, art filled two story home across the street from a secluded beach. But, if you don't want the beach, there is a gorgeous pool and lawn area to relax and enjoy what the home has to offer, which is everything. The house is spacious, well appointed and comfortable. It has two shaded, outside living areas. Plus at night you can catch the eveing breezes and stars on the roof gaden.
Also take advantage of "Italy", the housekeeper, who doubles as a cook, if requested. She prepared one meal for us and it was sooo delicious, we wish we had requested more.
Casa Perla is located just 15 minutes from Tulum's beaches, ruins and puebla, we had access to every activity offered in the area. The resorts and restaurants on Tulum's beach range from luxury to quaint.
Tips
Catch the Salsa Lessons at Zebra
a massage at ana y Jose's
Take a kayak tour or boat tour at the biosphere's ecological lagoons
Take a tour of the ruins in Tulum
Eat at two fantastic bakeries in Pueble Tulum
and, be sure to swim in the cenote just a short walk down the road from the house.
Also a short walk are two great restaurants.
In short, if you are going to the Yucatan Peninsula, I hight recommend Casa Perla Del Mar.
It has it all, comfort, class, color, art, well appointed kitchens and location. -

We just returned from a fantastic fun-filled week in the sun at the fabulous Casa Perla del Mar and cannot recommend it enough. The house is beautiful and perfect for multigenerational families. It is so comfortable and the housekeeper Italy took such good care of us, we are now spoiled. The location is very secure with grocery stores, Atms, gas and everything you can possibly need within easy driving distance. You can walk down the private road to two restaurants that have great food, delicious drinks and gorgeous views of the ocean, or you can cook yourself at home, or you can ask Italy to cook for you. We did all of the above! We had 8 in our party and rented two cars at the Cancun airport. The drive was easy and pleasant - a straight shot. We went to the beach by the house, as well as the gorgeous public beaches a few miles down the coast. We took field trips to the Mayan ruins in Tulum (10 minutes away) and Cobá (45 minutes away). All in all, we had the best time and will definitely return!

I agree with all of the other great reviews! The house was gorgeous!!! There was plenty of room for a group with many balconies/patios to relax and enjoy all the beautiful views. The house was very clean (I'm very fussy about that!) with higher quality linens and towels. Beds were so comfortable! The privacy was so wonderful after spending so many vacations at all inclusives. You could walk along the beach for miles and not see a single person. We had planned on staying at the house and catching up on some badly needed R & R but there were so many things to see and do that we were on the go almost every day. I'd like to come back for 2 weeks next time. I can't reccommend this house highly enough. You'll love it!!!

Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We so enjoyed our time at Casa Perla del Mar. The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. The decor is warm, inviting and true to its Mexican surroundings.
The private pool was a delight. We spent countless hours just lounging and swimming in our own private paradise. Being honeymooners it was especially nice to be able to enjoy the pool without the distraction of other guests that you would have at a resort or hotel.
The staff was wonderful. They were unobtrusive, but available, not to mention just downright nice. The house was well cleaned and taken care of each day.
We also truly enjoyed the private chef that Patricia and Victor suggested, Jose antonio. We had him come twice for dinner and he prepared superb meals each time for a very reasonable fee. He is a must have.
The house is located just a few miles from the city of Tulum which has two easy to navigate grocery stores, several really good resturants, adequate shopping, and of course the wonderful ruins. We stayed close to home most of the time, but the home is located so that travel to other ruins is an easy day trip.
The only thing that I would say is a negative and I am not sure I would go that far, is that the beach across from the house is not really swimmer friendly. It is a bit too rocky. However, not too far down the way is good beach and Tulum has some nice public beaches as well. We did however get to see turtles hatching and making thier way to the ocean on our very first night there. It was amazing. Last, but not least do not miss out on the beautiful view of the night sky from the roof. We saw countless shooting stars and it is just so bright without all the typical city lights.
Overall a great experience that I am sure we will repeat in the future with friends and family! -

Italy the house keeper was very efficient and unobtrusive, cooking us delicous meals when we asked her, which was a real treat, especially with seven youngsters. The location was very close to beaches and local sights, we would return at the drop of a hat!

They enjoyed everything and they were enough resting areas for everyone to relax and enjoy thier stay. The Turtles nesting and hatching was an extremely enjoyable nightly occurrence! The kids went by themselves and came back with exciting stories of baby turtle rescues! Quintana Roo, wow, it's a great destination holiday with so many wonderful and ancient places to visit. Casa Perla de Mar is beautiful: brand new, with high ceilings, great air circulation and beautiful places to watch the waves to the east and sundown over the jungle on the west. All the furnishings were clearly chosen individually - hand-made glasses, nice sheets, tilework, etc. We stayed in a hotel down the coast for a few days before coming here, which made the quality of Perla stand out. It was also great to get whatever kind of information and support I needed from the owners and the staff. The cenote walking distance from the house is huge and natural (not all hyped, crowded and touristy) and the beaches have lots of coral and turtle nests. I want to come back when the turtles are hatching to explore the area more.

This was our 2nd visit to the Tankah/Tulum area - this time we came with more friends and family. We are so happy we found this place!! Casa Perla Del Mar is a wonderful home in a fantastic location - central to all of the outdoor adventures, perfect for kids, teens and couples. The home is just as it is pictured on the website - actually it was even better. Gorgeous colors and decor, open and airy with the most fantasic breezes. We had 3 families with kids ranging from 10-18 and it was perfect! Our other friends/family stayed at the B&B; next door making it a total of 15 people. A few of us woke up every day by about 6:15 am to the sound of the birds, walked a few feet to the beach and watched the sunrise, which is truly a fantastic way to start the day. By the end of the trip almost the entire group was up that early to join us. It was great to have the two kitchens which we used quite a bit to prepare breakfasts and a few dinners. One night we had antonio the private chef come and cook a fabulous meal for 15 of us and it was amazing. They even cooked some gluten/dairy free items for the family with allergies. We couldn't believe how inexpensive it was for the meal and service we recieved. They cleaned everthing and even took the trash with them!! We are quite active so we were out most of the day and when we returned the house was perfectly clean which was also very nice and relaxing. The kids and teens would usually finish the eve playing around in the pool. We saw tons of gorgeous birds and wildlife. Rooftop sunsets. I could go on and on...Highlights for excursions were Xel Ha - great for any age group, the Robinson Crusoe Catamaran from akumal Dive Shop (2nd time and so much fun!), La Zebra for dinner, Ana Y Jose beach club for daytime lounging and beaching. We also love Casa Cenote and the little market there was great. So much more than we hoped for. The rental process was so easy and our deposit arrived within a couple days after we returned home. Amazing!

The house is as advertised..beautiful and spacious. Our party included two families of three, each family with a teenage boy (16-18). The boys decided to share the room with the bunk beds. The rest of us had separate bedrooms and baths. The house is well appointed with two kitchens and all linens, utensils, plates, cups, glasses (including wine glasses, blenders, etc. Bottled water is supplied. We cooked breakfast an number of mornings and had coffee. We enjoyed hanging out around the beautiful pool in the well landscaped, walled yard. The house is located across the access road from the beach, essentially walking through an undeveloped lot across the street to get to the Caribbean Sea, a short walk. There are other vacation homes in the vicinity. The house is located just north of Tulum (15 minutes away) off route 307, approximately 90 minutes south of Cancun and the airport. The drive back to the house from route 307 is approx. 2Km. The drive back to the Casa has a gate keeper providing security for all homes on the drive. It's a great base of operations to enjoy the many activities in the area and beyond. We ate down the drive from Casa Perla Del Mar at Casa Cenote and at the pizza place with the wood oven, both quite good. We also went to the resort area south of the ruins in Tulum along the beach to eat and had a couple of good dinners there, but it was bit pricey. We also ate in downtown Tulum where the prices were cheap and the food good. We spent two afternoons on the beach at one of the resorts just south of the ruins enjoying the service on the fine white sand, while relaxing in loungers under palapas. We rented a mini van from the airport Hertz to get around and visited the ruins in Tulum and Coba. We had a great time at Casa Perla Del Mar and expect anyone who enjoys Mexico, the beach, and peace & tranquility will enjoy the Casa as well.

Casa Perla del Mar is ideally located just north of Tulum, about 1-1.5 hour drive from Cancun airport. The house is set up very well for 1-2 families and is across the street from the beach, and within a short driving distance to all the great activities the Tulum area offers: snorkeling, diving, cenotes, ruins, nature/monkey preserves, and more. Tulum Beach was great, with terrific restaurants and our favorite cenote was just down the street from the house, within walking distance.

We rented the entire villa for 10 days in March of 2011. It was a great experience - the villa is spacious, elegant, and clean. A maid and a gardener appeared every morning (except Sunday) and cleaned the entire place. We cooked for ourselves half the evenings in the downstairs kitchen. The upstairs kitchen and dining room was transformed into a fifth bedroom by hauling a twin mattress upstairs - but the maid was very understanding and made that bed as well. Victor helped us out to get the wireless internet functioning- my brother is a heavy user for work and had no troubles even emailing videos and other bandwith-heavy material. The location was terrific - probably as good as you can get on the Mayan Riviera if you prefer to avoid loud nightlife and crowds. If you are looking for a quiet place from which to go to fantastic beaches, snorkel, collect shells, watch birds, explore Mayan ruins, etc. . . . you will be very pleased. If you want a personal reference, I give Victor my permission to pass on my email address for that purpose.

This is our first trip to Mexico and were unsure of what to expect and finalized our plans only after confirming our stay at Case Perla Del Mar. Our family of four (2 kids age 4 and 1 year) had the best vacation ever and couldn't have been possible without our stay at the house.
The entire process of booking the stay was extremely pleasant thanks to the owners who spend a lot of time on the phone answering our queries. The owners gave the same attention to detail to service provided as they have to their house -- A beautiful property which brings nature indoors at every corner of the house. Even on the one day when it was not sunny outside we had a relaxing time at the house.
The owners were always in touch with us after our initial contact and did everything to ensure a comfortable stay at the house - from bringing a brand new highchair for our one year old, to agreeing to us brining an additional guest at the last minute, to giving us pointers on which car rental agency, to use to getting us comfortable to the cultural differences in Mexico. Even though we did our homework, it was good to hear from the owners about the differences which prepared us better.
What can we say about Tulum that has not already been said.. suffice to say it is now our favorite destination.. combination of unspoiled natural resources (favorites being Boca Pailla beach, Sian Kaan biosphere ), historical and cultural heritage of the Yucatan, unlimited activities within a short drive from the house makes the location unparalleled.
Finally, our sense of amazement, wonder and adventure of visiting Tulum and surrounding areas were only enhanced due to our stay at the house. Used to go out exploring all day and when we returned to the house in the evening we felt our day is only starting - the walk to the beach, walking to pizza place, 360 degree view of the night time sky from the rooftop or pretty much anywhere in the house. All of use felt, one week is not -

We stayed at Casa Perla with our two teenage boys. It's a beautiful new home with great views of the beach and jungle, lots of privacy, super-comfy beds, and delicious meals prepared by the staff. All the amenities are top-notch! We thoroughly enjoyed having our coffee on the rooftop deck, watching pink flamingos, herons, and egrets fly over the jungle. Walks on the beach and cocktails at the local restaurant were also a treat. And there's lots to see and do in the area. We even took a great road trip to Chichen Itza!

Stayed at Casa Perla with friends, to celebrate a 60th birthday, and had a blast! The house is brand new and absolutely beautiful in its incredible tranquil setting. area.views! As you enter thru the gate, you come upon an elegant pool surrounded by palm trees (reminded me of the Hearst Castle). The bedrooms are all unique, with high ceilings, custom tilework and luxurious, comfortable beds. Nothing like falling asleep to the melodic sound of the ocean.
Italy, the housekeeper, couldn't have been sweeter or more accommodating. She will prepare for you any number of her delicious meals...One of our favorite places to "hang" was the second floor lounge/balcony area. At night we would sip drinks, do a little star gazing, and take in the awesome views...During the day, we enjoyed the ruins, Playa del Carmen and walks along the beautiful white sand beaches...an endless array of wonderful things to do and all within a few minutes drive.
Can't say enough about this wonderful place... A must stay!! -

The house was spectacular and spacious. I was particularly impressed by the decor, which reflected the local culture. One unique aspect of the place was that it had 2 gourmet kitchens so when we were out by the pool, we were only steps from the fridge. By having 2 kitchens, it allows us and our other friends to have some privacy. The beds and linen were fantastic--one of the best night's sleep I ever had.
We loved the staff especially Italy who kept the house immaculately clean and cooked several amazing dinners for us.
The location is great. There were a couple of nice restaurants we could walk to and we were only steps away from the beach. Tulum was only 3 miles down the road.
