Abbiamo cominciato a scoprire il Messico partendo da Tulum e arrivando in questa casa dopo ore di viaggio, è stata l'accoglienza migliore che potessimo aspettarci. La casa è spaziosa e tranquilla, personale ed essenziale. La terrazza e il giardino tropicale sono decisivi per chi desidera una vacanza fuori dai soliti circuiti. Si trova a due passi dalla avenida principale di Tulum e a qualche chilometro dalle splendide spiagge, nonchè dal sito archeologico. Ripartire è stato difficile, ma torneremo.

My spouse and I are in out mid to late 60's. We stayed at La Rosa dei Venti (in Scirocco) for a week at the beginning of February. It is very comfortable. We did a good deal of cooking and greatly enjoyed the upstairs balcony and adjoining flat roof. Since you are right in town, you have access to restraunts, grocery shopping with just a short walk. There is access to the collectivo and a taxi stand just three blocks away. Francesca was not there when we were, but alex (Alessandro) was great. A very helpful, articulate and positive young man with a delightful young family. If you choose to be in town rather than the hotel zone, this is a great value. The beach is a short bike or taxi ride away. The collectivo can take you to the ruins or all the way to Playa del Carmen at a very low cost. Note that there is even a washing machine in the upstairs bathroom and you can hang laundry on the clothes line on the flat roof!

My family stayed at this wonderful place during Xmas and New Years. Alessandro was very helpful and friendly. The house is very close to the to the main road of town. When we first entered, We were so pleased to encounter such an ample and clean place. It was nice to spend our evenings up in the balcony and listen to the birds in the morning. Lots of beach towels and a washing machine you can use for personal use. Highly reccomend this place if you are not into the touristy resort scene.

It was a great experience to stay in this pleasant house for Christmas holiday.
All family members enjoyed this rental (size of the rooms, comfortable beds), and all of us hope to come back as soon as we can.
Service (by alessandro) was perfect.

Gli appartamenti sono ben definiti. Non manca proprio nulla dentro. Puliti. Con qualche tocco perfino familiare, quale può essere il mazzo di fiori fresco! La proprietà e' presente, ma sempre rispettosa della privacy. La location e' ottima. Nel vivo della cultura paesana maya, a un tiro di schioppo dall'avenida. Essere al centro significa anche sentire i suoni del popolo che vive, quindi sappiate che sono per lo più suoni e solo qualche vota rumori. A dieci minuti di taxi dalle spiazze mozzafiato.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-week stay at Rosa dei Venti, conveniently located in the Tulum Pueblo. There is an amazing garden from which we fetched basil to season our pasta, lime to add to our smoothies, and aloe vera to soothe our skin from sun-filled days. Francesca, the owner, shared with us her own fresh fruit smoothie creations, and even helped us find a bike to rent to ride to the beach. We loved to spend mornings planning our days on the porch, overlooked by a wonderful mosaic relief and rustling trees. Rosa dei Venti is a short walk to the ado bus station, local transport vans, and a launder, making it an ideal place to relax in between day trips to the jungle or beach.

dopo aver percorso per 15 giorni la riviera maya su autobus di linea per circa 2000 km pensavo che la mia vacanza fosse finita invece arrivati a Tulum l'accoglienza è stata subito regale,un'atmosfera tutta integra con la cultura locale,si respira l'autenticità delle persone e non la solita vacanza organizzata perchè a Tulum troverete il mare e il pueblo la gente maya che parla maya e per chi è italiano questa meta vi farà portare a casa dei bei ricordi duraturi nel tempo,delle vacanze spesso si ricordano i posti visitati ma non dove si soggiorna qui è diverso provare per credere

My sister & I stayed here for two weeks in February 2012. It was spacious and clean. I can't tell you how many times we told each other how glad we were to not be staying at a resort!
While definitely off the beaten track, La Rosa Dei Venti is wonderful for those who want to have a taste of the local culture. We walked to the fruteria & had fresh fruit & yogurt for our breakfasts.

Two of us spent Xmas 2011 here, in the main house. We had a wonderful time! Francesca is a wonderful host, she has been in the Tulum community many years, so staying at her place was a more personal and, for us, enjoyable experience than shacking up somewhere more anonymous and touristy. The house was large, comfortable and clean; insect-free and decent bathroom, shower etc.
It´s just a little off the beaten track (10min walk to Tulum town centre or 10min taxi to beaches) but suits those seeking a bit of seclusion perfectly. We enjoyed our mojitos on the roof terrace :) -

As I said in the title of my review, there's only one word to describe my stay at "la Rosa dei venti" in Tulum: magic.
The house is unique with its garden of tropical trees and flowers down town in Tulum, a good position to have a walk to markets or to do shopping, but at the same time being surrounded by plants. The flat is quite comfortable, big enough to have an every day life.
With a bike you can run 5 km to the seaside, along a bike trail and the sea and the sand are fantastic, Trip advisor reviews just explained a lot about the beautyness of the place.

Mon séjour à Tulum a été encore plus agréable grâce au charme et au confort du logement. Je ne sais pas si j'ai aimé le plus la couleur de la mer ou les fleurs du cactus San Pedro dans le jardin de La Rosa dei Venti, les plages et l'eau des Caraïbes ou les moments de relaxation dans le jardin ou dans la maison (propre et accueillante). Francesca connait très bien la région et elle a un bon réseau d'amitiés sur place.

Per prima cosa un saluto a tutti quelli che leggeranno questo commento.
Sono Dario, italiano di Verona e sono stato ospite in Casa Ponente della Rosa dei Venti a Tulum Messico nel mese di Marzo 2012.
Si tratta di un appartamento bilocale di ampie dimensioni posto nel lato orientale della casa di Francesca.
L'unità abitativa è composta da un soggiorno-cucina bello grande, da un'ampia camera, da un bagno e da un ripostiglio ed è perfetta per due persone ma ci si può star comodissimi anche in tre.
La casa è in ottime condizioni, ben arieggiata e dotata di un ampio giardino piantumato che offre un riparo dal sole utilissimo durante i primi giorni di permanenza e comunque piacevole anche se siete già abbronzati.
Alla Rosa dei Venti io mi sono trovato molto bene grazie anche alla cordialità ed alla simpatia di Francesca che si è dimostra sempre disponibile nell'indicarmi le particolarità e le cose interessanti da fare a Tulum.

I spent two weeks at la rosa dei venti and it was not enough! The ospitality was great, the apartment clean, nice and comfortable. The garden was just a bit of paradise. The position in Pueblo is fantastic since walking or cycling you can go everywhere, even to the sea side and the cycling there is an amazing experience. The possibility to live the Pueblo daily life was interesting and relaxing... I definitely will be back very soon

consecutive years.She speaks several languages, and is an excellent tour guide to the beaches and cenotes in the area.Her home was very comfortable,and is close to shopping,restaurants,banks, and the ruins.Overall,it is a lovely place to stay,and the garden is a nice,quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. -

Although our stay was too short, we had a wonderful time in Tulum. Francesca's place is right in the heart of town, and close to everything you would need. The gardens are delightful and so is the owner. Francesca is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. All in all this a a nice place to stay, very comfortable.

A friendly host in a clean and tidy house, made my vacation in Tulum easier and I'd appreciate the surrounding nature and the white beaches.
The house is really confortable with a garden full of plants and flowers where you can rest. You can also feel the silence and the peace of the place, without loosing the contact with the city center, five minutes walking, where you can find restaurants, shops and fun if you like.
